Hotel Balneario de Lanjarón

The location was excellent just a stroll into Lanjaron centre.

The cafe at the hotel only opened in the day but the information booklet said it would open in the evening until 11.00 pm. Having a dog this would have been ideal for us to sit and have a drink.The room had no coffee and tea making facilities.

Decent price

Quite outdated.The spa facilities are overrated. Some of them are very old.Dinner was very basic and not inviting.Parking is only open air under trees. The car doesnt stay clean afterwards.

Decent location; Lanjarón is a nice little town to explore.

If you can imagine what a spa/hotel in East Germany in the 1970s might look like, this is it. Stark, bland, fraying at the edges. It's billed as a 4-star hotel, but I couldn't find anything more than 2.5 stars about the place. WiFi didn't work, breakfast was mediocre at best, guests are herded in and out of the AquaTherm area. The whole place was a ripoff.

The hotel breakfast was average in quality,but not terrible.

The check in was poorly organized and painfully slow. There was a large line on arrival (there seemed to always be) and there were multiple members of staff around two computers frowning as if it was the first time they’d seen it! I can only presume a new system was in place,if this was an everyday task within your job you should be better at it. A very inefficient system.The hallways of the hotel had dirty carpet and large spaces where there was no decoration or furniture. The halls were littered with laundry piles.The room we were allocated was on the ground floor and one of the windows did not lock when closed, we brought this to the attention of the reception staff are and we’re met with a flat response. I felt the toiletry offering was poor within the bathroom, slippers were not provided & the robes were old looking and very small in size.We used the spa facilities whilst there,none of the jets on the jacuzzis worked, we again alerted a member of staff.The breakfast offering was decent, terrible orange juice though.

the location was good, the room was sufficiently large and the breakfast was pretty okay. Plenty of hot water.

the room was cold and we had no control of the heat and had to ask to have it turned up. Things look pretty worn down in the hallways and comunal areas

The mattress, the small window next to to the ceiling quite claustrophobic. Lack of cleanness. Gives the impression of groups hotel for the elderly. Too many people in the spa.

The front desk staff were professional and efficient. The location, the price, and the room were wonderful. The breakfast bread were delicious.

The eggs at breakfast fresh out of the kitchen wet and runny. After sitting out for a few hours the eggs were hard and dry. Both were not good. Boiled eggs would have been better or Cook the eggs fresh to order.

Our room smelt of smoke, but they did offer another room.Not enough hangers.Hot breakfast is always cold.

The general features of the hotel were good.

There wasn't wifi in the room. The heating was controlled centrally and you can't adjust in the room. I was told when asked the heating was set at winter setting and that it would be adjusted next week and nothing could be done to resolve the problem despite it being very hot weather.. This left the temperature in the room very hot and stuffy. The spa was extremely busy.

The location was lovely ,staff were very friendly

We didn't like that we couldn't use the thermal suites when we wanted and it seemed most people were given the same time to use the them. No lunch or dinner served disappointing for a 4 star hotel.This is only a small town ,very hard to get nice food so we expected the hotel to provide meals.Hotel bar closed Sunday night

Beautiful location and convenient for travel around Apajarras

We had booked inclusive access to the spa but it is not clear in the booking details that three night stay means you are entitled to three sessions of one hour each and which have to be booked in advance at the reception. The spa has six sessions of one hour each through the day which you choose from. The spa itself is nice having just a one hour session does restrict you.

We had to pay 4 euros for the hat for the spa so don’t forget one because that is extortionate. Buffet was awful

How big the room was, the bathroom was very clean and well structured and the size of the wardrobe

The room itself was not very clean, the pillow very soft and not full, the breakfast not much variety, also the bed was individual and not double, also they never had makeup remover.

Nice hotel, I always stay here when visiting Lanjarón. Clean, friendly, and I can stay with the dog. I will come back!

Great location with direct access to the spa via the hotel in your wardrobe that the hotel provides! Lovely hiking routes around the villages. Restaurants and bars closeby. Dogs allowed for a surcharge.

Nice and friendly atmosphere, big size of rooms, friendly staff

Spa wasn’t that big and didn’t have a lot of massage showers, canteens didn’t have a big choice for 4 stars and didn’t offer tee or coffee for dinner

Coffee was very bitter but great selections of fruit, main dishes and juices.Bar staff incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our cocktail requests

Rooms were very comfortable, plenty of room, very good choice at breakfast.

Avoid 9 o'clock breakfast when hotel busy. No knives and forks, certain foods ran out, no staff around. Coffee and toast machines long queues. Also down stairs bar/coffee shop closed a lot.

The visit to the Balneario was a great experience.The hotel was comfortable and clean. The pool was gorgeous if a little cool.

The hotel is labyrinthine and it is quite hard to find your way around, but you do get used to it.
