Pros +
- A beautiful traditional hotel, with the kindest owners who gave us great tips for visits around the village, with an amazing knowledge of Zagori's history. Also great for summer.
- The location and the parking space. The breakfast was homemade and tasty.
- The hotel is beautiful and the owners are incredibly friendly. Most of all I have to mention the amazing breakfast! What a great start to have such hearty and great meal options before you start your hiking adventure.
Cons -
- Not filoxenia feeling. Not comfortable beds and pillows.
- The fridge in the room was a bit noisy, we should have turned it off overnight
- There is no AC/fan so, although we left the windows open, the room was very warm at night in August.

We chose this hotel because of the name and the style in the photo. It's just as interesting inside! It's an easy walk to the town centre for cafes and restaurants and the whole area is amazing. Breakfast was huge and delicious, and the host was very helpful and friendly :)
The fridge in the room was a bit noisy, we should have turned it off overnight
Good location, historic building, friendly hosts! Clean room and very cosy :) Breakfast was handmade and very nice. Very quiet place to enjoy surrounding nature. Would recommend it for a visit!
Amazing family hotel with exceptional interior and exterior architectural design. A true classic diamond in the area. Very close to village square, about 5 minutes walk and close to forest. If you are seeking for a tranquil place that’s the best place to stay. The place was super clean, the breakfast amazing and the owners really nice. They helped us and prepared quick meals for our one year old daughter.
Nice clean room. Friendly and accommodating staff. Good breakfast. 7 minutes walk from the center of town.
There is no AC/fan so, although we left the windows open, the room was very warm at night in August.
The location was comfortable, and thats pretty much the only positive.
The stuff was rude, looking to earn extra money in every chance given. Breakfast was refrigerated & poor quality, plus really limited options to choose from. No even one wood on a room with fireplace that we booked, when we asked he overcharged us for 3-4 pieces to burn. For the same amount of money you buy 10x more woods in every other store. The tv was not working, the fridge was crazy noisy when it was plugged. No glasses in the room to drink water, you had to drink from the bathroom's tap. And at the checkout the manager tried to charge us extra 20 euros for my dog without prior notice. Overall horrible experience there, avoid it and try to find someone that is not looking to earn extra in every way possible.
Excellent staff and the owners also. Friendly feeling. Breakfast was hand made from pure ingredients.
The position, the noble owners.
The hotel is located at the start of Tsepelovo village, walking distance from the village centre. It’s a nice stone building, the room was extremely clean and comfortable and the fireplace was a really nice touch. They staff was friendly and kind.
The temperature in the breakfast area was a little bit cold. In the room the two lights next to the bed weren’t working and the plug in the bathroom was out of the wall.
Really nice hotel. Beautiful house with clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was very nice and diverse (buffet on the weekend, served during the week). We enjoyed our stay a lot.
It's located a bit outside the village's center and you have to climb up the hill for dinner, but otherwise it's a nice and quiet spot.
My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful Booking hotel, and without a doubt, our experience was absolutely memorable. From the very beginning, we were impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, who made us feel right at home. The hotel's lady even personally prepared and served us breakfast, as we stayed during a Friday and there weren't many guests. We found this gesture truly charming and thoughtful. The breakfast itself was exceptional and worthy of a 10/10. We loved the delicious options they offered and how everything was prepared with care and attention to detail. Undoubtedly, starting our day with such a tasty breakfast helped us enjoy our stay in this picturesque village even more.Speaking of the village, we found it incredibly beautiful and with a unique charm. Moreover, we discovered that there are many things to see and do in the surrounding area, no more than a 40-minute drive away. This location allowed us to enjoy various activities and explore nearby points of interest without having to spend too much time on the road.In summary, our stay at this hotel was a truly wonderful experience, thanks to the warmth and kindness of the staff, the exceptional breakfast, and the beauty of the village and its surroundings. We would undoubtedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming and memorable getaway.
The scenery around the hotel is amazing - one can see the whole village which is beautiful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the owner goes out of his way to give useful suggestions about planning outings to nearby destinations. Everybody was generally very polite and helpful. A satisfactory variety for breakfast, although mostly store-bought products (based on other reviews, I was expecting some local products). The room was very warm, even though it was December.
The internet connection was virtually non-existent which is a serious issue for people who need to complete some work online while staying there. I found it a bit overpriced for a three-bed room which was in essence a two-bed room with a fold-out chair bed that rendered the room minuscule. Definitely not the spacious Standard Triple Room with a fireplace that was shown on the picture and in the description that convinced me to book the room in the first place. Oddly enough, there was no kettle or glasses in the room (we were asked if we wanted glasses upon arriving).
The view was spectacular. The breakfast was tasteful and with great variety.
The shower was a little bit small
Location was good. Overall a clean hotel.
Breakfast was poor not meeting our expectations as described on other visitor's comments. Breakfast time was only between 09:00-10:00. something which is unacceptable for a holiday resort. For example, there was no selection of local cheeses or of local products that the area is very famous, but only cheese and ham slices from supermarket. The hotel could not serve coffees, beverages or any snacks because was not licensed for that.
The building is very interesting - everything is stone and wood in the traditional Zagoriа style. The breakfast was just perfect with enough food.
Breakfast was good. Room very clean. Ok but happy to leave anyway...
We were the only two guests for two nights together with the host/caretaker who doesn't speak English in this gloomy large stone " The Shining" building. Slow service by the host who appeared doing his job against his will.
Nice building and atmosphere with nice view and in a nice village. Breakfast very good.
It can be cold in the room and hotel Owner/receptionist not friendly
The hotel looks good and is nicely designed. The village is close to a few nice hike trails which was great for us
We had trouble finding the hotel because we arrived at darkness so we called the host but he barely knew English. He served us the breakfast to the table at the first two days, first day we didn't get any eggs. In the third morning a woman who knows English better arrived so we could communicate about the breakfast and in general. It was difficult opening and locking the room door, we had to ask the host to come open it in the first time and I completely broke my nail from locking the door...
Hotel Petrotechno is located at the edge of Tsepelovo village. It is as far as it takes in order not to take the car for the central square. As far as it concerns breakfast, the Lady of the Hotel was baking every night a tasteful apple pie that smelled deliciously. However, breakfast was of limited amount and variety.
What I did not like was that room was little unorganized. For example, a rubbish basket, bulbs in the wall light and a refrigerator
