Pension Baranekhof - Just One Ski Bus Stop from Kitzsteinhorn Ski Resort

Wonderful place for skiing holiday. Good access to Kitzsteinhorn skiing area. Great breakfast. I definitely recommend it.

The room and the area was beautiful, there is a warm and cozy feeling in it.We really liked the area and the gym and ping pong table, the breakfast was great and the hosts were very kind and nice.

This place is super good, close to the ski slopes. The breakfast was delicious. Staff is kind and helpful. The chocolates on the pillows were very cute.

It was a good stay, staff are very kind and good! Especially girls at the kitchen and guy in glasses. They helped us a lot and asked all questios!

Wonderful host, everything is organized really well, location is close to the ski slopes, surrounded by nature.

The breakfast spread could be improved, especially adding some vegetarian items like hash brown potatoes, pancakes etc.

the manager is great! service with a smile. He made us laugh, played the accordion at breakfast time....The dining area was great. The food is tasty too.

The view was definitely my favorite part about this hotel. The place also felt homey and welcoming and the staff were friendly.

The place is a bit old meaning there was no elevator or air conditions. The furniture was not the best either but the beds were overall comfortable.

The location was perfect, the breakfast was very diverse and has something for everyone. You can have a great view in the morning sitting outside with breakfast. The staff is super friendly, the room me and my friend had was perfect for the type of vacation we were looking for. Modern bathroom and shower, super clean. The facilities in the basement were great too (table tennis and the gym). There's a hiking trail right across the pension, there's a lake and river right nearby, the dam is only 1,6 km away, the Sigmund Thun Klamm is super closeby as well. Thank you for an amazing experience!

We liked everything!

Everything was really amazing.In the first place, the location - surrounded with pure nature, really amazing. Peaceful, quiet, everything what is needed to move from the city and too much people :)Our host, Martin, is super great, full of information, willing to help and nice to communicate.

We loved everything! We visited in July so I can imagine it gets more busy in winter but even with quite a few other guests, the place was quiet and peaceful.The location is perfect, we were only there for a day and a half but managed to visit and enjoy quite a few of the activities in the area - highly recommend the Lärchwand Aufzug (the most beautiful place!! + make sure to take the bus or walk down to Furthermoar Alm for an amazing Alps experience and delicious food!!), Sigmund Thun Klamm, Kaprun and Zell am See. All these are less than 15 mins away by car.The rooms were simple but clean with comfortable beds and the bathroom seemed to have been refurbed not too long ago.Check in experience was similar to an Airbnb process, worked really well. We arrived around midnight and it was appreciated that we didn’t have to stress about it as everything was ready and just needed to pick up the keys based on perfectly detailed instructions shared via messages here.Breakfast was really nice too with a lot of options for cold and hot food with fresh baked items.We would love to return in the future!

Isolated having mountains view on both sides. Near to Kaprun tele-cabin. Good breakfast. Parking included.

Very small room for family. No balcony on our room. In the night you need to open the window, it becomes too hot. No elevator. No air conditioning.

We loved the location, in the middle of nature with ample parking space for the car. In the room, I have to mention that the bathroom is modern very nicely refurbished and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh , and delicious as advertised. Great WiFi connection .

The environment in the room felt old , musty and damp. I think due to the carpet, even clean, the smell persisted throughout our stay. We had to keep the balcony door open, which was a bit uncomfortable in the evenings. This was in the room we stayed in ,other rooms might be OK . The furnishing and the mattresses are quite outdated .

Great location to explore ski resorts. Very close to Kitzsteinhorn. Great breakfast, friendly staff, free parking, good WiFi.

Breakfast very good but thats about as good as it got.

Yet another location where the restaurant was closed (out of season apparently) but open when I initially booked. No staff present to check us in only a helpful guest to help us out.Was told the owner/staff member would arrive in ten minutes to help arrange somewhere to eat (That didn't happen)Had to ride back into the town and bring back food for the others in the group.Complete disappointment with this property.If you like to book, pay and be abandoned this is the place for you !

Nice and catered pension. Actually everything was even in better state than we could expect. Everything was clean and well arranged. The food was good in the restaurant in the evening and was decently priced. Friendly hosts. The location is really several hundred meters from the lifts, but, as the parking on the lifts was free and the ski-bus service is there I am not sure this is that important. Breakfast was also good - there was a variety of food present, coffee machine, e.t.c. Staying in several places in Austria I can say it was even a little above the standard you can get for this accommodation. Parking is free and in front of the pension.

The rooms are small. We knew this from the previous reviews and were not expecting much - three of us could fit in just fine. Pension belong to the Czech (family). It seemed to me that we were in Czech republic and not in Austria as most of the guests seem also to be Czech. Now we do speak the language and we were just fine with that, but some people could have an issue with that (based on the reviews). Otherwise everything was just fine.

Fantastic location. Very close to the main ski resort. The staff were amazing - always willing to help and accommodate all our requests. Breakfast was perfect. Super easy check-in. The hotel exceeded all of our expectations. (Also many languages spoken) Thanks to all for an awesome stay.

Location is perfect if you want to go for skiing, 10 mins walk to the main lift or 1 min by car. Parking is free and plenty of space for visitors. Breakfasts are good, fresh, nice variety. The stuff is very friendly. Rooms are clean, and you can hear birds and mountain river from the balcony. Towels and tea are provided in the room.

No elevator (we had the room on the 4th floor), quite hard after the skiing day. The lightning in the room could have been better. No additional (manual) heating in spring, so if your clothes get wet after skiing, you have hard time drying it for the next day (during winter it should be ok). The room floor is carpet.
