Pros +
- The hotel has an excellent location and friendly staff, which contributed to a pleasant stay. A younger lady at the front desk was particularly helpful, providing great recommendations for restaurants and places to enjoy good food. Her insights made our dining experiences memorable. The room was exceptionally clean upon arrival, and housekeeping did a great job maintaining it throughout our stay. Fresh linens were provided regularly, which added to the overall comfort. The distant sea view from the room was nice. The breakfast offered at the hotel was satisfactory. There was a decent variety of options, and we appreciated the quality of the food served.
- The included breakfast is a nice and rare option in a hotel in this class in Greece. The home made pastry is good, there are a few different options to choose from every day, which was good. The breakfast veranda was a really lovely place in this hotel. The laides/guys from the staff are especially kind. The bed was comfortable for sleeping on your back, but not on a side, maybe because of the pillows, or maybe a too hard spring bed.The option for a paid sheltered parking lot is good in Afytos, although it's actually on the back of the hotel and without surveillance. Parking in the evening could be a little bit stressful, because of the entrance of the parking, which is located behind the public parking of the village. It seems that the room is cleaned and towels are replaced every day.The shower has a hanger on the wall/ceiling, which is rare in a hotel of this class in Greece. The bath cabin is with glass, not with a cheap curtain, typical for this class hotels, which is an advantage. The hotel could be better but there are a few things to be improved. The hotel is on a walking distance to the center of the village, which is also good.
- Good breakfast, quite and clean room and excellent staff
Cons -
- One of the main drawbacks was the lack of a central air conditioning system. The air conditioning unit can only be turned on when you arrive at the room. This meant that if we returned late from the beach, the room was quite stuffy and took some time to cool down, which was uncomfortable.
- The room 304 was really small, only 17sq. meters. The water from the siphon was springing out if the tap was running more than 15 seconds. Really disgusting, they obviously had a problem with the drainage about which nobody cares or they don't know about... The same in the bathing cabin, there were 3cm of water on the floor if the shower was running for more than a minute. Both siphons are obviously severely cloged. The whole bath cabin was really small especially for bigger guys. The worst thing of all was the light in the bath was not sufficient at all. I could barely see my face to shave myself. Really I cannot understand why in the era of LED bulbs... they don't burn much electricity. There aren't 2 sockets on both sides otf the bed for charging devices, only 1 available. The toilet paper was mounted in the most uncomfortable place possible, behind the toilet seat, instead of under the bath raft. The installation of the ventilation was some piece of art... (see the pictures). Heating pipes strangely comming out of the wall in the bathroom...The mosquito protection on the balcony door was torn apart. The wardrobe is really small for 2 people. There were doors slamming after 8am in the morning, mainly due to the way of closing of the doors and their clicking mechanisms. The little sausages on the breakfast didn't seem to be completely fresh, and there are very limited salamy and meat options at breakfast. The balconies don't have any privacy due to their location close one to each other and above the inner yard with the swimming pool. The swimming pool is really small one, but even so there were people sunbathing during the whole day around it.

Good breakfast, quite and clean room and excellent staff
Short walking distance to shops and restaurants in the old town. Hotel parking lot (has to be booked) behind hotel. View from balcony.
Hotel room very small.
Nice cozy hotel with small swimming in the middle. Rooms are OK each of them with one or two terraces. Hotel is well situated in the small town of Afytos, a few hundred meters from the city enter and the restaurants and bars. Seats and lounge chairs around the swimming pool are quickly taken. Pool not deeper than 1.60m but crystal clear water.Breakfast is OK often busy around 09:30. Friendly service in both, reception and breakfast restaurant. Place to be recommended for its quality/price.
The Hotel has a private parking area that needs explanation to find it but with "rear-door access" to the Hotel. The swimming pool can sometimes be noisy from playing children.Difficult access by car upon arrival: no parking area near the reception and many stairs to climb before you get in the room with your luggage. But staff is helpful!Accesses to the rooms a bit confusing (in the beginning).
We really liked the hotel, beautiful and quiet place, clean rooms, good breakfast and lovely staff, good location. We had a very good vacation
The room was exceptionally well maintained and clean. We had some atypical requests, all of which were accommodated for. The breakfast was rich with options and items properly refilled. Great communication from the host.
I highly recommend this place. Location 2 minutes from the center of the town full of taverns where you can eat Greek dishes. The hotel is very clean, tidy, daily cleaning by the staff, towels changed every 2 days. The pool is clean, well-kept. The staff was amazing. We were greeted very nicely and shown around the facility. The rules that prevail there were explained to us very precisely. The staff was always willing to help. Delicious breakfasts, a large selection of typical food and traditional Greek dishes. I highly recommend it. Supposedly a 3-star hotel, but we felt served like in a 5-star hotel.
The only small downside was the access to the sea. In a straight line and on maps it is not far, but the entire town with the hotel is located on a small hill, which you have to go down steep stairs to get to the beach.
The Stratos hotel is near the town center of Afytos with lots of restaurants. Also to the beach it is only a 10 mins walk. As on the last afternoon of our stay the tube underneath the sink fall off, the hotel managed to get it repaired while we were out for dinner!! That was superb! Also breakfast variety is beyond what you usually find in Greece. All it all it is really worth to spend some days at the Stratos hotel.
Wonderful hotel. Great location. Lovely friendly staff. Nice pool. Everything you could want.
Nothing to dislike.
The hotel is in a great location close to the centre of town. The pool/ pool area was lovely and clean with a well stocked bar and a showering area. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool, which was lovely for sitting outside in the evening. The air conditioning was really efficient in both bedrooms and both rooms had a separate toilet. It’s worth mentioning that our room was cleaned, beds made daily, and towels changed regularly which we really appreciated. Breakfast was included in the price and was excellent, with so many choices of sweet and savoury foods - many of them home made. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t have been more obliging, with particular thanks to the Manager Anastasia, who went out of her way to help us with our many queries and requests!
There was no mirror/ dressing table in the twin bedroom, which meant that my wife and daughters all had to share one mirror when getting ready to go out in the evenings. A full length mirror would have been appreciated, as there wasn’t one in either bedroom.
The location of the hotel was amazing. It had a perfect breakfast. The staff were very polite and helpful. Our room was cleaned every day. We had a very enjoyable holiday. I recommend it to everyone.
close to the center and restaurants yet quiet, the pool and everything is very clean. Exellent breakfast, homemade cakes. We loved it ? thank you so much

Staying at Stratos Hotel was an extraordinary experience for us.The hotel itself is located very close to the central area yet away from the crowds and noise of the picturesque Afytos. The accommodation is even better than the pictures, the rooms are spacious and extremely clean(the rooms are cleaned on daily basis, bed linen and towels are changed on daily basis as well). The staff -everyone is very friendly, smiling, helpful, ready to answer all your questions and meet your needs. And the reception? You had me at hello with your "pick me up " corner where you can borrow books in case you have forgotten yours at home.Oh,let's talk about the breakfast!Delicious home made pies, cakes, homemade pastries and rolls, jams add to this wonderful experience a great deal.Stratos hotel is the place to be when in Afytos. Will definitely go back there in September☺️
No such thing
This hotel and pool area was very clean with great staff who were very helpful and informative, the two ladies on the reception, especially Anastasia, gave us good ideas for touring around and also arranged a boat trip for us which was very good.
There wasn't anything about this hotel to not like, it was all very good. They also had shaded parking for the vehicles, you just had to do was inform them that you were bringing a car and they would reserve a place.
The staff is very empathetic and smiling. The location is very close to the center and restaurants. The pool is very cleanThe breakfast is varied, they bring cheese from local production and very good jams made by them.
I didn't find anything I didn't like.Everything was very good.
We had a great stay at stratos hotel. Very kind people working there. Thank you for making the stay so nice and comfortable. Great location, City Center is really close, but far enough so you have silence at the hotel. Tasty breackfast with lots of homemade stuff. Parking at the hotel parking space is great and for free. We would book again next time we are in afytos.
Bathroom could use some more storage place.
The staff was great. We loved the stay there, having easy access to the parking of hotel makes you very mobile on the whole Kasandra. Hygiene of the hotel and room is on the high level. Rooms are small but cozy and bathroom is prefect.
Everyting! They put us up at the hotel earlier because of our baby. They treated us like close friends especially Anastasia! Rooms and pool are comfortable and very clean. The hotel is very close to main steet.
Everything was perfect. Clean room , handmade breakfast, calm and most important polite staff. I recommend booking at stratos hotel 100%.
We liked everything. The hotel exceeded our expectations.
