Relais Casali della Cisterna

Everything was great. The hosts, Alberto and Simona, are gracious and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and addressed needs we had during the stay, including helping with difficult tour reservations nearby. We traveled with our family and needed three rooms. Each room was perfect for the ones in it. Th rooms are well apportioned and spacious. The view of Lake Maggiore is fabulous from the rooms. One of our group has young kids and there were a lot of activities right at the hotel, like a pool and ping-pong. In addition, the hosts really made the kids feel at home. One of the kids said that stay was his favorite part of the trip.The food was great and, surprisingly affordable. We had breakfast there twice, lunch twice, and dinner four times. The menu has a lot of variety so most of us didn't have the same thing twice, except the young ones, who loved the chicken strips (so did the adults that sampled them). The property is beautiful, with a wide variety of plants and trees. Travel to nearby sites is convenient.

We wished we could have stayed longer. Some commented they wanted to live there.

The property is located at a beutifull place, overlooking the lake, situated in a wide spread lush botanical garden.Our appartment was perfect. Beautifully decorated and well maintained.The owners hospitality was above and beyond. They did everithing possible to assist us in any request

The hotel has all the needed facilities, and an elevator to the room!The owners, Simona and Alberto, where great in hospitality and the food in the restaurant was very good.The pool is small but the is sufficient for children.The view is gorgeous.

Wow wow wow. We adored this property. It’s enormous with gorgeous trees and plants everywhere. There is a small pool and terraces to linger on or soak in the sun. And they have a restaurant and bar on site with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. The rooms are colorful and stylish. The hosts are so kind and warm and welcoming. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

Absolutely nothing it’s perfect

Very nice setting, big room, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, option for light dinner. Bar. Perfect communication beforehand.

The absolutely stunning view to the Maggiore lake from our room. The great park in the property. The excellent hosts providing high level service. The breakfast is very tasty and rich. Close proximity to the local center with the main infrastructure and very interesting trips. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Great place! Great hosts! Amazing view, big territory, great location. We stayed in this hotel seven years ago, I am pleased to note that the hotel is just as clean and well maintained. Highly recommend

There are no disadvantages

Well appointed rooms with spectacular views of the lake. Rooms are tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and well equipped bathrooms. Best part was the restaurant with outside terrace; Simona‘s Lasagne was the bomb.

Can’t think of anything

Beautiful place and quiet, nice, and pretty convenient location (esp. with a car). Room was clean and very comfortable. Owners make sure that we as guests were well taken care of. Their local information and guide for the area were excellent. Highly recommend staying here.

Excellent hosts, beautiful hotel and garden, great location

Beautiful suite with very comfortable beds! Loved the pool, hot tub, table tennis etc. overlooking the lake. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful.

Always a wonderful time with Simona and Alberto! Accommodation run with dedication and a great atmosphere. Peace, wonderful location and a welcoming culture. Looking forward to my next stay!

Nothing this hotel is a gem

The views of Lake Maggiore were spectacular from the room and balcony. Our room was a suite with a balcony and large bathroom with double sinks.Breakfast was buffet with savory (eggs/omelet) or sweet options included. The staff/owners were wonderful and took great care. We'll be back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool and lakeside!!

Excellent in every way. Quiet location but close to Stresa. Stunning views. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Excellent homemade food and very warm welcome. A very pleasant stay. We could not fault it. We will be back!

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

The couple that runs the relais were wonderful. They were friendly and spoke several languages. They provided great recommendations, wonderful simple food, and a warm welcome. They remained friendly and efficient even when things got busy. They are a classy pair. The accommodations were fabulous and the grounds quite lovely with a wonderful view of the lake. The surroundings were very quiet. They even had EV charging!

We were very well received. The situation overlooking the Maggiore lake is exceptional. The breakfast is varied and they are always looking to please us. Also, the hotel is five minutes drive from the boat to Borromeo islands.

I don't normally leave reviews but we've just got back from a long weekend on Lake Maggiore, and I can honestly say the Relais Casali della Cisterna was fantastic. Its a beautiful hotel, with brilliant owners that made our stay really fabulous! I would highly recommend ?

Friendly and commited husband and wife owner/operator. Room presentation superb - had all of the amenities of a 6 star hotel.
