Excellent food, friendly staff.

Wellness facilities were rather cold. The heating was too low and it made it difficult to relax and enjoy.

The staff where very friendly, the hotel was safe and clean and the view was honestly breathtaking specially as a solo traveler

Overall, the hotel in Venlo was quite nice. There was a small pool and a sauna area, which we appreciated, although not everything was working perfectly — for example, the steam room didn’t produce enough steam to be effective.The location is lovely, with a park and a lake nearby, which sounds ideal in theory. However, while the lake is close, it’s not really suitable for swimming. There are a lot of ducks and geese living there, and unfortunately, the entire lake area is heavily soiled with bird droppings. We were told at reception that swimming is allowed, but honestly, it didn’t feel safe or hygienic. I’m not blaming the birds — they’re just living their lives — but I do think it's important for future guests to know this in advance. If you're looking for a beach day by the water, this might not be the right spot.Another issue we had was dinner. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, with a small child, and it turned out our order had simply been forgotten. We were cold, the baby was cold, and we ended up sitting there until almost 9 PM. Yes, they brought us some complimentary fries, and the staff were kind and friendly overall, but if I hadn’t asked about our food, I don’t think anyone would have noticed.Despite these issues, there were still things we enjoyed — but hopefully this helps others set the right expectations before booking.

The steam room in the spa area didn’t work properly — there was barely any steam, so it wasn’t really effective.Although the lake is nearby, it's not suitable for swimming. There are too many ducks and geese, and the area is heavily covered in droppings. We were told it was okay to swim there, but it really didn’t feel safe or clean.Dinner service was very disappointing. Our order was completely forgotten, and we had to wait over 1.5 hours with a small child. No one noticed until we asked. While we were offered free fries as an apology, the experience was frustrating and uncomfortable.

Bed was comfortable and nice pillows. Had reasonable sized bath too!

In need of redecoration but they are working on that and didn’t put us off would come back

I had a very good stay for 1 night with my husband, we too the tower suit and I was surprised to see that the room is exactly pr even better that the photos , its luxurious , lots pf space and very well decorated . The only downside is that there is no noise isolation , so all night long we could hear very well the cars across the street . And that affected the atmosphere and was a bit of struggle . We also had breakfast included, I believe that breakfast could improve way more.But beside that great experience.

The shower was clogged. No clean table at breakfast when we arrived. Food (bread, eggs, grapes) was not always refilled, had to ask.

The room was very cold, they are not well equipped in terms of heating, they still using air conditioning to heat the room which old fashion manner, i was frozen, the heat doesn’t exist in the bathroom! The room furniture is out-passed.

Really poor service, they served our dinner order wrong on our first day. Second day, they didnt even submit our order we had to call again to learn that after 45 minutes. Receptionist refused to give us clean towels and she said that they dont have any towel and we have to wait for external company which is not true because our next door was a room full of towels. Our room was blocked before check out time and they couldnt even say 'sorry'. They just find excuses. Their explanation was 'they didnt block our room but the system did it'. Receptionist lady acting so rude on purpose just to not help you. Also switches language on purpose after we spoke in English for minutes.

We had a beautiful and delicious dinner. Waitresses were very friendly. But the cashier was a rather rude and unpleasant person.

Bad Wi-Fi! False fire alarm for 3 times one night! No hot water for few hours another day

Rooms are rather big.

When we arrived, there was a dirty towel on the floor for some reason.there was no minibar, the coffeemachine did not work

Everything was excellent, beautiful view, very good and tasty food and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed and definitely keep in mind if we come back.

Everything. The breakfast was very nice. We loved having our breakfast with a lake view. The hotel is situated in a natural park, and walking around the lake was awesome.

Nothing.The air conditioning in our room did not work properly on the first night of our stay. However, after we informed the management, they quickly changed our room and resolved the problem.

A bit of renovation would be nice for corridors. There were some marks on the white walls there and there. Carpet was quite old as well. All the rest is very good.

Fine but overpriced

The system for lights in the room is weird. It's normal for you to have to put a key card in .... but not normal that it doesn't work all the time. The staff's solution was because the contact is strange to simply add another card in the slot. That didn't work .... somehow, by some miracle we got the lights to work. Not sure how and I wasn't convinced we would be able to get it to work again. Luckily, it was late and we weren't planning to leave the room again. A 4* hotel should have a better solution that reliably works!
