- We had an excellent stay at this beautiful chalet-style hotel. The restaurant is outstanding, and La Bagatelle being part of the hotel is a real highlight. All the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and supportive throughout our stay.We truly appreciated the complimentary transfer service to the village, arranged anytime upon request. As a lovely surprise, we were also upgraded to a suite that felt like a small private chalet, with a breathtaking view.Everything was perfect—from the service to the atmosphere. Highly recommended, and we would gladly return.

- The view was amazing surrounding mountains .it was beyond my expectations ,all staff were so polite smiling, helpful and very kinds. They always ask if we need anything.we are so happy and I wish to return back. Thanks to staff.
Cons -
- The mattress and pillows are way too soft. My back hurt a bit. The location is up and hilly but they offer a free shuttle during the day to the town / train station. On my second day, the animals smell outside the property was a bit strong but I understand we are in the middle of nature.
- -I wished if the add coffee maker in the room.-You need a car to go to center since there is road construction during our stay
- We walked into a construction zone without warning - not expected given the handsome price. The staff were very accommodating.

Gstaad, Saanen, and Rougemont are blissful. The location of the Chalet is perfect with its commanding view of the valley and surrounding mountains. The staff were very attentive and enjoyable.

Gorgeous rooms and view. Super friendly staff. Peaceful and tucked away in a calm area. Great restaurant and breakfast. Well worth the money.
Le Grand Chalet is a great place that we return to regularly. The atmosphere in the hotel exudes tranquility and is located in a beautiful, easily accessible location higher up in Gstaad. The service is attentive, friendly and professional. The vast majority of the employees have been a permanent team for years and that means something. This time we had a renovated room at the back with a beautiful unobstructed view of Gruben. The underground large garage can be reached internally by elevator; super practical. We did miss a real hotel lobby. The lobby as shown in the photo is unfortunately not the reality. The seating area that serves this purpose is limited, does not embrace and the lighting is too bright. Apart from that, this space is also used to place extra tables to seat more people for dinner. In conclusion, a very nice, authentic and very well-maintained hotel that we would like to return to. Le Grand Chalet is highly recommended!
The hotel has a cozy, homely vibe, and the staff went above and beyond to enhance our stay from the reception, housekeeping to the F&B staff.
The hotel exceeded in all aspects, staff cordiality, facilities, room, room view, restaurant, everything was great.
I should have spent more than just one night, to enjoy everything that is offered.
Clean cosy friendly staff
Nothing. Just perfect
The professionalism of all the staff, the location, the food, the cleanliness actually everything
Amazing staff, always ready to help and keep smiling. Would love to go back again, just because of rhe place, the hotel and the staff!!The breakfast was in general good, but I usually get bored of eating the same stuff everyday. So a bit of variety to add will be a bonus.
There was nothing to not like about. Everything was so beautifully organised and taken care of.
We loved our stay at Le Chalet!! The location is superb, close to the village but also high on the hill with an amazing mountain view. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Carol at the front desk helped us with our many asks. She helped us hire a ski instructor in a very short notice, and so caringly asked us how we enjoyed our first ever ski lessons on our return. They accomodated a late check out which made all the difference as we were able to freshen up before hitting the road on our last day. The ambiance and decor of the hotel and the room were so pretty and cozy. We tried the restaurant a few times and the quality of the food and the service were phenomenal. Le grand chalet was a fabulous 10/10 stay which we would love to come back to!
It's the smallest nit but the hand soap was very drying.

It was our second time a this hotel- the staff were lovely as always. The hotel lobby and restaurant were recently renovated and it looks beautiful. The rooms are a good size. Nice balconies with lovely views. Bathrooms feel recently updates and clean and fresh. The restaurant is well known and the food is excellent. The breakfast spread is really really good. Feels very homey.
The hotel is a little bit out of town up on hill but they do provide a complimentary shuttle service that runs during the day. The walk is definitely possible but going up is a bit of a trek especially if you're not dressed for it.
Very cute and comfortable place, like a family chalet. The rooms are very clean and good smell, we got everything we needed. Food in the restaurant is very delicious, even in the city center it’s not easy to find this quality of food
The view and the big room. That the staff was very helpful and friendly, especially the receptionist Carole
That they were closing the hotel and started to clean it whilst guests were still there. They could have waited with that until all guests have departed.
Great view, very helpful staff, beautiful traditional and neat hotel. You have everything that you need, plus transfer to the center.
Great Variety of nicely prepared food. Great room with lot's of space and fabulous mountain view with terrasse. All staff very friendly, competent and supportive!
The staff were all really lovely, the receptionist, the cleaning staff, the chauffeur and waiters all offered great service. The room was big and the balcony was lovely to relax on overviewing the mountain. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant La Bagatelle which was also excellent even though a tad pricey at 24 CHF for a small desert but the food was delicious and service was excellent as well, the only little detail that would have been nice would have been a little candle or something on my partner desert as I had told the hotel it was a booking for his birthday but maybe I should have told the restaurant, and it is really a detail that doesn’t take away from the amazing time we had there! We will definitely be back!
We loved everything, the two things that could maybe be improved are the pillows which are quite soft and being 8 months pregnant, I would have liked something a bit more supportive, and a little coffee machine or at least a kettle in the room would have been nice as well. But again we loved everything and will definitely be back!
Very welcoming staff with a smile on their face at all times, trying to make themselves helpful. Traditional, varied and delicious breakfast satisfying everybody’s wishes. Nice spacious rooms in alpine traditional style with a beautiful mountain view.
