Good clean value for money. No nonsense
Pillows were poor and only one per bed.
The room was very clean and warm and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly.
The room was very dimly lit
The hotel exceeded our expectations - while the common space was a bit "older", the room was freshly rennovated, spacious and cosy. The balcony was convenient and the breakfast was very nice. The staff were friendly and radiated the "family feeling". Would love to return one day.
The curtain in the shower - believe it's a bit hard to keep them fresh and clean in a hotel set-up.
Spacious room. Near shops and restaurants. Good breakfast buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff. In walking distance from public transport.
Nothing not to like.
Clean and central
Price a little expensive
Very comfortable nicely designed rooms. Good value for money if you don’t want to stay in Central Munich.
Our three rooms were very spacious. Mine on the top floor had a very low sloped ceiling.
One factory-wrapped Givenchy perfum and a box with four pairs of cufflinks disappeared from my luggage in my room. On the telephone, the receptionist assured me that neither had been reported as found. Yes, I know there was a room safe. Still, grounds for displeasure.
The room was upgraded, the breakfast was great, and the town was quiet & beautiful .
Friendly staff, big room, terrace and kitchen. Free parking
Both our room and the hotel's included breakfast were perfectly satisfactory.
We got a really mixed message with regards to bike storage. At first the woman told us we had to lock our bikes to a rail outside the building, which would leave them vulnerable to both the weather and thieves. Then, when she realized we had an electric bike and the forecast was for rain, she phoned the owner who led us to a garage that did not lock and said we could leave them in there. Both desk clerk and owner were adamant that we could not take our bikes into our room, which was ironic given that the front desk is unmanned after 5 o'clock. I was also disgusted that the front desk clerk tried to tell me that a lot of hotels do not offer bike storage. For the record, on our extended hotel we stayed at nearly 60 different hotels and there were only 2 others that offered us such insecure bike storage.Appartment Hotel Holzl is just a block off the Isar Radweg, and as such is really appealing for people riding that route. If I rode the Isar again I would not stay at the hotel because of their inadequate bike storage.
Excellent location close to the main train to Munich, the area are very quiet, the rooms sizes are very confortable, the staff was very friendly and willing to answer all questions and concerns, I would repeat without hesitation...
The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We so appreciated their efforts to line up transportation for us. The hotel location was ideal for our Munich stay with many dining and shopping options nearby. Be sure to check out the Leoli restaurant attached to the hotel.
We and our friends noticed that the mattresses seemed a little overly firm and made sleep a little less restful than other places we stayed on this trip. But this could have been a personal preference issue.
Breakfast was excellent.Stuff very friendly, location was in 30 min from Munich centrum
Centrally locatedParking includedFriendliness of staff
The kitchen did not have a coffee machine.
Our room was recently refurbished. Really nice. Breakfast was very decent. Location in Grünwald very good with private parking.
The price tag does not reflect this Hotel. It is a good place, can't go wrong. But with high prices expectations rise as well.
Disappointing
The breakfast was extremely disappointing, only one type of cheese and only one type of pork ham and jam with Gelatine in it wich meant that it wasn’t that much too eat. The room was old and smelled like the 90s. And the main entrance was also on the side and not easy to find. The only positive thing about the whole experience was that they left a note with my name on the door with a code to a box wich had the room key in it. The next time I go to Grünwald I will definitely book a different hotel. For 100€ you can definitely expect more.
I loved having the kitchenette and the room was spacious with a good sized balcony. Traditional decor- I loved that the room wasn’t ‘modern hotel’ in style - it was clean, comfortable and homely. And the staff made me feel very welcome.
