Storfossen Hostel

Right next to a nice waterfall. Building and rooms were nice enough.

No staff on location. Contact numbers did not answer. E-mail received 4.5 hours after check-in told us our room was #6, but it was occupied. We ended up just taking a non-occupied room for the night.

It is almost unbelievable how good is this place is. You get clean and beautiful room and an amazing shared kitchen with lots of complimentary food/drink for an incredible price. Thank you!

I had a fantastic stay! I booked a private room with a bathroom, and it exceeded expectations — cozy, clean, and very comfortable. The highlight was the view: a beautiful waterfall running right by the hostel, creating such a peaceful and unique atmosphere. The shared/common area was superb — fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. A lot of thought clearly went into making the space welcoming and functional. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-maintained place to stay.

Just fantastic! We checked in late so we received a message on how to self check in which was very easy, our room was lovely with a gorgeous view of the waterfall just behind the hostel. The sound of the waterfall and the very comfortable bed gave us the best sleep we've had in a while! The common areas were very nice, two kitchens with everything you'd need. The host was there in the morning and was very nice and gave us some tips for the area. The coffee was also excellent so just all in all a fabulous stay and I would definitely recommend this place!

The rooms themselves were cozy and they gave us the room looking at the waterfall, which was great. We could see a bit of the northern lights from our room.

Facilities were not great, there's a kitchen outside that can be used but it was packed with people having a feast and it smelled funny due to what they were cooking. Cars were parked very badly and it was hard for us to find a spot. We can't complain much for the place was cheap, so in general it was good.

Nice discovery of this hostel, with nice rooms (either cascade or fjord view) and very confortable common parts including basic food in the kitchen and welcome sweeties ;) we came for one night we spent 3.

Very well organized with clean interiors. its located in middle of nature with even a falls behind, low light pollution and can see amazing northern lights - ofcourse weather supporting!!

A very good price/quality ratio. The place offers everything you expect while traveling through Norway. A little bit ancient hotel but really nothing to complain about for such a price in this country. A top place for hikers and climbers.

We did not meet anyone from the staff which is a little bit awkward.

The common room is very spacious, kitchen is very well equipped, the hotel is easy to find.

Snow covered up the whole parking lot. It is hard to carry the luggage inside the hostel and the group is very slippery

The hostel owner Henrik is the best one I have ever seen. He helped me a lot during my journey in Gratangen. The kitchen and living room are so nice. You can have juice and coffee for free. I absolutely recommend this hostel. Enjoy your time there!

The host, Henrik was super friendly and helpful. He actually cares about his guests and their stay. Very accomodating, even for a solo traveller who doesn't drive. One of te nicest place I stayed. Really lovely gose, huge kitchwn and dining room filled with a variety of non alcoholic drink options. A TV area with a PS4 and some games like minecraft, great for the wee kids.

The only and small negative would be shower in the basement, thus may be awkward to access. Good showee regardless. Nice warm water.

Good scenary, clean and warm room. The big house has everything you need, mordern kitchen, some food and drinks, and ourdoor exploration tools. The host is so kind and patient to give you help. We ordered one night, but we decided to stay here for two nights. But on booking there is no more double room. Then I ask the host if I can stay in the same room for one more night. he said yes and is very patient when I have some problem with payment method. I would fully recommend it!

Very convenient on the way to or back from the Lofoten.Close to the Polar Park, Brejvik and not too far from Narvik too. A nice cosy place to sleep.I would definitely go there again.Plus the view when you wake up is nice if you’re fronting the fjord.

The location was perfect. The facilities were 10/10. Everything was super clean. Value for money!
