Dorint Resort & Spa Locarno-Riazzino

We had a wonderful stay! The design of the rooms was truly impressive — spacious, beautifully decorated, and with a bright, open feel thanks to the high ceilings. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. The breakfast was excellent, offering both quality and abundance with plenty of options to choose from.The spa area was another highlight — clean, relaxing, and with a pleasant fragrance throughout, especially in the Turkish sauna. Overall, a perfectly balanced mix of comfort, elegance, and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

The spa and pool were great

Good staff, clean, lighting and sockets in the room were well thought out, great breakfast, good organisation of keeping the luggage and free parking.

1. They dont specify during booking that the spa opens at 12, so it's designed specifically so people who stay for one night can only access it for a few hours on the first day. Seems a bit misleading to say open spa access during the entire stay.2. Check in time is too late by international standards. 3pm and even if the hotel is not at capacity, they dont accommodate any requests for early check ins.3. No dental kit in the room and only given when asked.4. We asked to bring up some empty plates and glasses to the room and were told that we would need to pay 5 francs for it.5. Bathroom didnt have shampoo and conditioner, there was just the generic bath plus hair wash which is shocking for a 4 star hotel.6. Spa was quite small, the jacuzzi was more like a private jacuzzi than one for a hotel. Also it was placed such that all the guests sitting in their room balcony can peer inside the spa, weird design choice.All in all it was not bad but not a 4 star experience or value for money and we wouldn't go back.

Sadly there was a construction work nearby and it started at 6 am. But that is not the concern of the hotel.

The only issue was with shower water. Water temperature fluctuated in all 3 separate rooms we have stayed as a group.

People, rooms, infrastructure. Playroom and pool are nice.

In many rooms windows don't open.Only one shower in the whole spa.

The rooms are very spacious, the lounge area is fantastic, staff are lovely and the accommodated me for vegan options for dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It's absolutely beautiful

The breakfast buffet was very good.The staff in the restaurant were very kind, even though their English level was basic.The barman, as well, was super helpful and customer-focused. Free parking, which is nice.

There is no fitness in the hotel; you are given a badge and need to visit the fitness centre in the neighbourhood, which is not a nice experience. Having a SPA centre means you offer massages as well, which was not the case for the past weekend. I assume this was due to the hotel being newly opened, however the prices were normal, not a promotional one :). We booked half board, and the dinner was disappointing.

I liked the convenient location close to the train station, making it easy to explore the area. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, providing a pleasant space to relax. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious with a good variety.

However, I didn't like that the gym facilities were outside and unfortunately closed during my stay. I also found the room walls to be a bit thin, which affected my privacy.

Very nice staff, breakfast was delicious and the room spacious and comfy. Easy to reach by train and car.

A window would have been nice. Though some rooms have a balcony.

I loved everything about this hotel! The modern and aesthetically pleasing design, clean rooms, hotel room amenities (robe, slippers, coffee machine, teas/coffee etc), hotel room views, excellent breakfast with a range of choice, wonderful spa, convenient location with the train station only a very short walk away and friendly and accommodating staff (a special shout out Alexandra and Fata who were on duty at breakfast time - they were so hospitable and kind to me).

Facilities were amazing, the breakfast buffet was great, and i received a lovely birthday surprise by the wonderful staff.

The pillows are a bit large for my liking.

Rooms very clean and comfortable. Stuff super friendly and welcoming. Receptionist Chiara was very helpful. Lady Fata from breakfast was beyond nice. Big recommendation for this place. Thank you guys. See you again.

Smell in the room was a bit weird but reception resolve the problem and gave us free upgrade so everything was amazing.

Great value for the money. Great breakfast. Very nice and comfortable rooms.

My room wasn't properly cleaned when i came into the room. The sink was dirty and full of hair and the floor in the restroom was dirty.

Great facilities, especially for families with kids. We loved the indoor playroom. Also the room was great for us as a family of four and breakfast was excellent.

We were a bit disappointed by dinner in the restaurant, the taste of the dishes (we had pasta) could have been better.

Everything was great. Very kind personel…very delicious breakfast… new year event was great with wonderful music and pizza slices ?????? thank you so much

The bed was very comfortable, the room was super quiet, the breakfast was superb, the mountain view from my window was wonderful, Arriving very late was not a problem for the very helpful staff (Luca I believe), the very chill and friendly room service in the morning
