Pros +
- As a US couple traveling by car through Portugal, we loved having the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine and the olives we purchased along the way on our private balcony facing the laundry mat as we did our laundry. We purchased a delicious roasted chicken at the super mercado about 2 mimures away and ate dinner on our balcony. We appreciated the down time we had as the next morning we had scheduled a drive along the Douro river with a boat ride and wine tour to follow only 20 minutes away! Rooms were very clean as other travelers had reviewed. Recommended restaurants were a 10 minute walk but we were feeling lazy so are onsite. We parked in a public parking lot directly across from our room and our car was visible from our balcony.
- Room was clean. It did the trick for one night.
- Fantastic friendly service from both Ana and Phillipa. Thank you. Clean rooms. Good breakfast.
Cons -
- Breakfast only starts at 08:30am. We wished it started an hour earlier.
- The location is a bit challenging if you want to go out for dinner or wine tasting; it’s a €5 cab into town … but considering how inexpensive the rooms are it’s still better value than staying in town. Wish the rooms had shears rather than just heavy curtains. The place looks a bit sketchy from the outside but it’s much nicer inside.
- Doors that did not close properly and condition of the verandah, complicated lift system

Doors that did not close properly and condition of the verandah, complicated lift system
very nice and accommodating staff, Andre was great and answered all my questions, very good breakfast, good location.
Very friendly staff. Simple but clean permises. Good breakfast (for the price). Room and bathroom sizes were OK, eventually bigger than you would expect in this kind of hotel. There's a supermarket nearby.
The surrounding area is not nice looking, and the hotel is far away from Regua's city center. Check-in has a limited schedule.
Wonderful breakfast, with several options and restocked by the staff at all times. The staff was extremely helpful and kind
Comfortable room with balcony, near the river. Good breakfast. Excellent shower.
Nothing - all good
Very good location 5/7m walking to the town centre. Clean and with goog facilities for a residential. The staff is very friendly. Keep up with the good work.
Breakfast was great. Modern clean bathroom. Lovely outdoor patio. Very helpful friendly staff. Really good quality bedlinen and towels. Large spacious bedroom.
Nothing-it was great
Clean modern and comfortable room. Good beds. Excellent breakfast included. Friendly helpful staff. Large sunny private terrace adjacent to our room. Easy to find.
Tiny bathroom sink. Location was a 20 minute walk from restaurant areas. Some noise from neighboring rooms at 5 am.
The staff were very kind. They give good recommendations for the town.
This is not an acceptable property. There is water leaking and mold on the floor and walls in the entry to the building. You cannot arrive after hours and if you arrive in the evening, it is very dark , a little unsafe and not apparent that you are in a hotel because it looks like a residential building.
Don't let the entrance put you off, once up the stairs to the accommodation it's very nice. Out room was large with a balcony. Bathroom was clean with towels soap, shampoo. A kettle would have been handy. Breakfast was a bit limited choice wise but was adequate. Overall a nice room in a beautiful town.
Apartment was clean
At the entrance was a lot of mold and wetness. In the room, there is so much noise until 3:00 a.m we couldn't sleep at all!
The room was great with a balcony and nice views.. Bed very comfortable and bathroom of a good standard. Lovely walk along the river to the centre of town. Staff very accommodating. Plenty of choice for breakfast.
Can't think of anything.
Our host, Andre, was exceptional. Polite, helpful and always available. Do not be put off by the external appearance of the building, nor the entry area, both of which are uninviting but shared with the rest of the building. Once you at at the hotel -walk up one flight of stairs at the rear- the hotel itself is modern, minimalistic and pleasant to occupy. Breakfast was also more than adequate and Andre provided me with GF bread rolls. Many thanks.
Breakfast was okRoom and bathroom good
Air condition not good. To hoot on the room
great choice for breakfast. Better on the inside than viewed from the outside.
a bit of a walk to town.
Standard breakfast quite okay
We had a little trouble finding it despite all the technical aids. The hotel is housed in an ordinary apartment building that had seen its best days.Admittedly, there is a large sign on the wall, but since we have never been part of such a setup, we had a hard time understanding that you can actually run a hotel or similar in a large concrete block. However, nothing wrong with the accommodation, it was renovated and neat. We also had a large balcony
