Glomfjord Hotel

The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Parking was right up by the entrance. The bathroom floor was heated. Ample closet space was available. A nice touch was a Bible in the drawer written in Norwegian AND English. The worker in the morning went out of her way to make us a Norwegian waffle. She simply surprised us with it.

The room was in great need of a renovation. Worn bare wood was very evident. The window was open when we arrived and very cold inside. We had difficulty getting the heater to come on.

Outdated hotel, old & damaged furniture in the room, ugly old inlay carpet. Bathroom feels and looks like somebody tried to build a bathroom themselves with the very cheapest stuff from AliExpress but failed. When the restaurants kitchen opened at 5 p.m. the ugly smell from the fryers came constantly up to the room. Smell of fryed fish and foods stayed the whole night. 70m away is an industrial complex with noisy running outside machinery towards the hotels front.This is not the place for a nice vacation and beautiful memories.

Clean and cosy hotel, and we liked the atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is not new and shiny but it really doesn't have to be, we had everything we needed. I slept really well. Mountain view from the window was also a plus. Could stay there anytime again.

Only thing I could think of is that we could have wanted a little fridge and maybe a water boiler in the room. ( But those we've had in only one of five hotels on this trip)

The property was well maintained for its age and v clean. Management and staff friendly and helpful

It’s getting old and due for a major refurb. But still comfortable and the management does well.

Location, parking and last minute availability

Single room had a kettle, cups but no ingredients to make anything. No cupboard or hooks to hang anything up. Single bed was comfortable but no head board and just a little bit rubbish. Given key which unlocked room but no outside doors so when I left early as explained to reception I was lucky not to be locked out as I took my gear out in several runs (had to chock a door open).

Good location, friendly staff. Ordinary and rather dated rooms.

Large comfortable rooms with an excellent breakfast. Also friendly gentleman on Reception even though we did not arrive until 11pm.

arrived very late and host made sure we had door code and instructions. elevator wasn’t on when we arrived after midnight but worked in the morning. very dated interior, but clean and comfortable. breakfast was nice.

Close to main road. Good value for money. Supermarkets less than 100m away to get food and beverages for the trip of the next day. Restaurant inside the hotel.

Rather old looking rooms and especially bathrooms but still clean. Limited choise of internaltional TV channels

The hotel is situated opposite a hydro electric plant, the noise is unbearable. I didn’t sleep
