Ustedalen Hotel Geilo

Breakfast buffet was excellent with many food options. Location was not ideal if you didn't have a car. There were no shuttle busses in the summer. There was plenty to do in the area, but a car is needed.

As for the room, there wasn't a luggage rack. There was space were a bench could be installed and used for luggage instead of the floor. The bathroom could use more and better hooks for towels.

The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Geilo, and many rooms (including ours) have a wonderful view of the other side of the valley. It is relatively close to the ski slopes, with a ski bus stop just outside the hotel. Good breakfast.

the rooms are very simple and worn out. The bathroom had a bathtub installed in place of an old shower, but it was not very comfortable to use, especially since there was no way of blocking the water in the tub. The rooms only have single beds, pity that the hotel does not have any way to turn them into doubles. The 4 stars are absolutely exaggerated, it's a very simple 3-star hotel for skiers. The hotel claims to have a swimming pool, but it was closed for renovation when we arrived, and they offered a discount for a water park on the other side of the river instead. The parking is located quite far from the main building.

Nice, spacious room with great view on the mountains. Pet friendly.

Bathroom was a bit old and smelled slightly even after daily cleanup.

Pleasant

The room was too small. There was no wardrobe and space to put suitcases.The Sauna seemed dirty and not well booked after.

Disappointing

The room was too basic, nowhere to put clothes and nowhere to sit, apart from two dining chairs, no table. We ended up having to sit on the beds.

*Not the fault of the hotel, but very noisy kids in the pool means that it wasn't very relaxing. The receptionist did advise us so, which was kind.

Or room was small, but cozy and with a good view to the mountain.Bathroom had a heated floor and a bathtub.Breakfast was really good.Ski bus stops just outside and takes you to the both slopes.There is also an OK pool and a gym (though very limited).All in all - good value for money.

There is a kitchenette in the room, but there were no dishes or utensils.Having in mind that there are so many electric cars, hotel should invest in the charging stations. The nearest one is 1km away. Not a big deal, but still :)

The apartment we had was Lovely and spacious. Perfect view of the mountains

Dogs allowed to stay is disgusting, that would turn me off staying again

Thought the facilities in the room were basic for the price, the bed was a little uncomfortable. But apart from that the place was fine, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast selection was very good.

We had an absolutely beautiful view from our hotel room. Everything is so well designed, the staff was very nice and the breakfast was wonderful.We hope to be able to visit again! Thank you.

Too much sounds/noise to hear from neigboard room: Would like more sound-isolation between each room.But we do like the view of Geilo from the terrace, can also recommend both dinner and breakfast.

Breakfast was good. Personal is friendly. View was good. Pool was good.

The room was not clean, but after turning to reception, it was cleaned.

Breakfast was fine, hotel itself was good but the room let the place down.

Two wine glasses and a kettle! No cups / tea/coffee/ milk. I asked at the bar and was given cups etc. by a helpful man but I shouldn’t have needed to ask. No hairdryer , no love has been given to this room, very basic. Padded headboard has stains. All this feedback goes back 2 years on your website! They need to change

Soundproofing could be improved

On the room that we booked have a Mountain View as advertised but we was put to the room that see nothing only see a car park at the window. It ok for see it a night not 3 in role .

The view was great. Very good staff, attentive and helpful. 5*. The shuttle bus to the ski lift was right beside the hotel

The beds headboard wasn't very clean. So that was a big minus, a big stain on it. The window was drafting. Breakfast could have little more options.
