- Comfortable room. Cleanness of room.
- Food, dog amenities, starbucks
Cons -
- The beds could’ve been more comfortable and the tv was old and didn’t work.Didn’t love the views
- Restaurant and also bar were dirty. Dirty dishes after patrons left were not cleaned for 30-60 min. Gave bad impression while we stayed there - lots of empty tables with dirty dishes on them. Same was during dinner, breakfast and also in the lounge bar.
- High dog fee of 500NOK and no electric car chargers outside

Stylish resort, breakfast
Its too hot inside the room. TV is not smart TV, no you tube or Netflix.
There is always something to do. We are a family of 4 with two boys under 11. There was never a moment when they were bored. Either learning to ski for the first time or simply play in the snow there was so many fun activities outside. If they chose to remain indoors they could play in the most amazing indoor pool with a water slide or go bowling, or be in the game room where there was a pool table and table tennis. For us parents we always felt safe having the children run around doing their activities and allowed us to spend some quality time together. The food was amazing. The breakfast spread was healthy and fresh and a very large variety. No junk food at all. We actually had dinner in the restaurant every evening and between the A La Carte menu or the Daily menu we had wonderful options. There was a kids buffet every night. It was only a 20 minute walk to Geilo if we needed groceries or shopping. There was also a Husky sleigh ride just a 10 minute walk from the resort.Should also mention that the gym and spa was top notch. It was our first ever ski trip but we are already looking at when we will return to Vestlia again.
It is difficult to think about what could've been better. We wish it would've snowed a little bit more. It was unseasonably warm for February. For the actual resort, the only place that feels that there is unrealized potential would be the game room. Though we had a lot of fun there, the room itself feels a bit unloved.
Directly next to the skilift/pistes and ski-rental. Great breakfast, lots of indoor entertainment like a pool, bowling and kids playground.
The room we had was a bit outdated and very dusty.
Everything was 10/10! Fantastic stay and we can't wait to come back next year! The staff are super welcoming, the food is delicious and the amenities are great. The pool is really big and the water slide is a fantastic addition. The bar area is super cosy and a great place to chill with a drink and play some board games. Great location as well.
The only thing we didn't have was a kettle in the room. Would've been nice to be able to make a hot drink whenever you please rather than having to buy one from the cafe.
The view from our room was beautiful, Geilo is a lovely small town in the winter. The room was warm albeit small. The interior is nice and cosy with some cool vintage poster designs.
We didn't anticipate how much this was a family resort, it's definitely not a romantic hideaway. The interior is nice at first look but it's run down in places. We found the majority of staff to be unfriendly and unenthusiastic (one bartender even rolled his eyes at us when we couldn't hear him). Also understaffed, with not enough help at the front desk. A worker helped us book onto an airport shuttle bus one evening, we told him our train left at 9:59am so he booked us on the 9:30am bus. We showed up next morning to find out he had booked us for the 3pm bus, and there were no taxis or busses left, and the only girl working the desk had no idea how to help us and seemed to not care at all. The spa was nice and the girls working there were very nice, however the pool area is too small with not enough beds. We stayed and swam for a while but had to awkwardly stand with nowhere to relax and lounge. Dinner was also very overpriced for what we got. A tiny vegetarian option and a very bland chicken burger, we had a better meal after bracing the cold to go to the Pizza place in town (basically Norwegian pizza hut, but it was more fun and cheaper). It takes 20-30 mins to walk into town, which when it's freezing cold and snowy feels like forever! If you're not skiing i would recommend staying in town if possible.
Staff lovely, food very good. Right by slopes. Loved it.
The staff at the restaurant (the sommelière from Slowenia and the guys from romania) were super sweet and did a great job in helping us with the wine and also finding a good spot for us. Also the barkeeper did a great job mixing the negronis!
The AC in the restaurant was blowing like crazy so we had go switch to another table. The room was super big but all the inventory has seen better days. No love to details, a lot of scratches on all the sofas, beds, bathroom inventory.. quite sad for the price. First impression was great, but if you look to close it‘s really used and shabby. And there is no space to put your necessaire anywhere in the bathroom so we had to put it on the floor
Beautiful, well appointed, delicious dinner. And it was so much fun to watch the children on fall break!
Everything was great. I recommend it to anyone.
Nice hotel for skiing! We visited it off season, so we avoided the crowds! :) Nice facilities and very friendly staff.
The room was quite fresh, even with the heating full on, maybe due to a ventilation system, you could not turn off. The breakfast could use a little improvement in the quality of some products. It’s a pity that Sauna and Bowling are closed on Sunday!
training room, outdoor facilities, pub, english premier league, Dinner
Breakfast, better bread, better eggs, omelett, fresh juice, better vegetables, spirer
Comfortable, clean and excellent facilities
Dining area really dark
Everything! Thoughtful and detail oriented. Comfortable bed linen, great breakfast buffet, nice pool and slide area, super helpful staff and huge parking lot. Don't forget amazing views to the mountains!
That our stay was to short ?
Interesting atmosphere, nice spa, comfortable stay.
Bit crowded in August.
Professional staff, great breakfast, in-house restaurant, pool and jacuzzi in spa zone. Comfortable bed
Missing sauna in spa zone
Loved the bowling alley and we had a great dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Staff were super friendly and bed was comfortable.
No tea/coffee making in the rooms.
Staff at check-in has been super friendly and helpful throughout the stay; we have also used the spa and had a massage, and the therapist was brilliant! Rooms are very spacious and clean, and location is great for accessing lots of hikes during the summer
Breakfast options on the sweet side were a bit limited, so if you don't eat a lot for Breakfast and won't taste an English Breakfast, you won't have a lot of choice. The dinner menu was also quite limited in choice, but the quality of the food was overall very good.
Friendly, helpful staff, especially in the bar area. Room was very comfortable. Great views.
