The gardens, building and tropical-like surroundings.
We would’ve liked to have enjoyed the actual hotel more as it’s such a beautiful building with lovely gardens. The beautiful courtyard is screaming for a bar where cocktails, beers and coffees could be enjoyed with a little, simple tapas menu.
The hotel is a set around a nice courtyard and the staff were helpful and friendly
The rooms are pretty basic and tired. Towels were threadbare. Very expensive for what it was.
Quiet and beautiful surroundings based in a historic house overlooking the sea. Very good breakfast and friendly staff.
Our room the first night was small and rather basic (no 2) However we were moved to a much better room for the rest of the time, overlooking the beautiful grounds. Thank you!
This place is often fully booked so they must be doing something right but be careful to book one of the good rooms. Don't prepay so you can leave if room not good.
Our room was tiny with extensive noise from adjoining room and the courtyard. An actual big hole in the adjoining wall covered by thin piece of plywood which acted like a speaker amplifying any sounds from next room Baby crying at midnight! We offered to pay anything for an upgrade but staff said no other room available for the entire week.Breakfasts were very basic. Pool was tiny and unheated so no one could use it in Feb.
Beautiful property surrounded by banana plantations
It’s about 2km from Garachico, a beautiful town with lots of restaurants etc. it is too far/ not safe to walk.
Fantastic view & great breakfast. The Banana plantation.
The wall between the room is thin. You could hear the life next door.
Great lication. Excelkent breakfast, vlean, calm.green, a lot if outer space
Rooms a little bit small for3 and dark
Relaxed atmosfeer Singing birds
Very thin gypsum walls No ACExtremely small cubicle shower Tiny toilet no space for your legs Old and poor quality mattress and pillowsSynthetic blanket is very hot Hot water takes 5 minutes to arrive on an island with limited water supply you waste a lot No mosquito net for the windows Worst coffee ever Limited choices for breakfast
Beautiful surroundings and access to small pebbley beach and bay to swim at. Tennis court.
Narrow single beds, stingey with toilet roll, main shower head did not work, room smelled of strong chemical cleaning spray, no fresh orange juice and poor tea at breakfast otherwise good, lights in bedroom and dining room very bright and clinical, new year's eve dinner chaotic service, not enough waiters, i.e. food often served cold or tepid, fish and meat main course served in wrong order, red wine not served and eventually when asked for it it was served cold from fridge rather than room temperature and waiters too busy to be attentive to refilling wine and water, swimming pool freezing despite claiming to be warm, could have hourly booking system for tennis courts to make availability fairer amongst guests. Better if dinner could be available every night since not many options (one) within walking distance. For 8 night stay, bed sheets changed after 6, would have made more sense to change after 4. Most of the staff friendly and helpful.
We loved the peace and quiet of this location. It is a very beautiful property and our room was very comfortable. Very convenient to nearby towns both by car and by local bus service. The service was excellent and the whole experience was completely relaxed. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was very good. The property around the hotel is lovely to explore. Communication was regular and prompt before and during our stay.
Nothing that we didn’t like but guests should be aware that this is not a full service hotel with 24 hour reception. The staff are very helpful working around this.
The location was excellent. It was a beautiful quiet location above Garachico in a banana plantation. It was very easy to get to town for a large selection of restaurants. The breakfast was very nice, with plenty of choices and a view of the ocean. The room was cosy, clean and pleasant. The staff were excellent.
The dining room was very noisy. This is not easy to solve, while maitinaing the historical architecture. Closing the door to the kitchen would help, as would perhaps hanging more items on the walls and the ceilings. The view is awesome, but the sun makes it too bright and hot in the morning. Shades could help this, as could curtains, which would help witgh the noise. The trick is to keep the view, at the same time. The coffee machines could also be upgraded to nespresso or similar.
Love the location ? it is peaceful and beautiful! Stuff is so friendly and helpful and make you feel at home
My husband didn't like the pillows, but I feel like they were comfy
This is the third time we have stayed here. We love the peace and quiet, relaxed setting and perfect location, especially the access to the tiny private beach.
The location is very pretty and serene, staff was very friendly.
Wifi was not that great.
Overall really great experience. A great location to relax between all the banana fields. Good breakfast, everything was super clean and well taken care of. The staff was super friendly. I would definitely come back here to relax, read, and enjoy the views.
The hotel’s location is incredible, set in the middle of a banana plantation. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless, with daily cleaning. Breakfast featured a great selection of local foods and freshly squeezed juices. The entire estate is full of relaxing spots, and since the hacienda dates back to the 1500s, there’s beautiful old furniture and artifacts throughout. Highly recommended!
Very quite and scenic location. Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating to our needs. We enjoyed the access to a very private bathing spot provided to us by the receptionist. Excellent breakfast.
Internet was a bit slow: ok for mails and text, less so for short videp clips
