Pros +
- Amazing views of Metsovo, excellent staff and housekeeping, and an amazing chef on site
- Lovely place. But even more than the hotel was the welcoming, attentive, gentle staff. Who was there for every wish and helped with every problem. The inner swimming pool and Jacuzzi was amazing. And rooms were very cosy.
- The main lobby is beautiful and so is the view. Easy parking. Breakfast was nice, although nothing exceptional
Cons -
- Was not the best value for money given access to spa and pool was limited i.e. with bookings, some of the rooms were not up to par (our bathroom had some paint pealing from the ceiling)
- Uncomfortable temperature and no options to regulate. Phone in room was not working. Lights kept turning off. WiFi was not working. Rooms need a total renovation. Spa completely booked. Toilet smelled of sewage. Shower did not drain well. Towels are flimsy and pillows need an upgrade

Wow one of the top hotels I stayed at.Great staff clean and quiet Thanks
Everything was perfect
location amazing , food very good ( but you are nor groing to drive during night to the nearest vilage ) , facilities
some flies on the brackfest buffet , I wouldnt expect such a thing in such a place
Everything was simply perfect – from the breathtaking mountain views and elegant design to the warm hospitality and attention to detail. The atmosphere was peaceful and truly relaxing.
Honestly, there was nothing to dislike. Everything exceeded my expectations.
The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, the hotel is beautiful and clean, the view is spectacular
The views are breathtaking- even better than the pictures! It's a lovely and peaceful place, surrounded by the beauty of the mountains and nature. The perfect place to relax... the staff is super friendly. can't wait to come back there.

Exclusive, beautiful view, fireplace, friendly staff, spacious room
excellent, polite and friendly staff, perfectly trained , efficient and quick Beautifully decorated hotel and excellent location overlooking MetsovoVery good dinner restaurant with fresh and delicious choices with local ingredientsGorgeous indoor swimming pool with amazing view, professional spa staff
You have to book for the use of sauna and Hamam in the SPA area and also it is charged with 25 euro /person which is unheard of... The fireplace in the room is not a real fireplace , but an ethanol burning device with fake wood... not really warming or cosy. it kinda lacks the meaning of having a fireplace in a 5* mountain resort and is a bit smelly too...Should have more pastry products (croissant-danish etc) available during an otherwise perfect, varied and delicious breakfast
Grand Forest Metsovo Hotel - Hugely Overrated and Dated
As someone who has traveled to more than 100 countries and always stays in 5-star hotels, I feel compelled to share my disappointment with this property. Grand Forest Metsovo is, without a doubt, one of the most overvalued 5-star hotels in the world. This property might have had its glory days in the past, but it is glaringly clear that no major renovations have taken place for many years. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are terribly outdated, with old furniture and basic, nearly ancient TVs that scream neglect rather than luxury. To make matters worse, the design is far from guest-friendly. All rooms are outside the main building, meaning guests are forced to navigate through a maze of corridors and elevators, only to then step out into the freezing cold in winter—yes, you read that right, you have to walk outside in the cold to get to your room! This arrangement is absolutely unacceptable for a so-called luxury hotel. The main restaurant is no better. Its decor looks like something straight out of the 1960s, tired and uninspiring. As for breakfast, it’s nothing more than typical, with no standout offerings or effort to elevate the experience. The only redeeming feature? The main living area with the fireplace—but even here, the sofas are incredibly uncomfortable, making it difficult to truly relax and enjoy the space. For a hotel that claims to be a luxury retreat, it falls painfully short in every possible way. If you’re expecting a high-end 5-star experience, be prepared for disappointment. Grand Forest Metsovo is anything but grand. Avoid it.
We had a pleasant, relaxing stay in great location, enjoyed the view and fire place in the lobby. Breakfast were complex and satisfying, dinner was also very good. Enjoyed our truffle hunting.

Not kid friendly. Bad check in check out times. Didnt correspond with times set for activities. For example, kids pool hours fall after check out time. Kid playground was just a room filled with crayons and plastic old toys mainly for toddlers. Not good ventilation. No adult supervision from staff. Parents had to be present. Gym was dark and cold. 5 star by name only not by standard observed. Service not really silver. Staff was okay.Price did not need to be that high for standard observed. Problem solving skills and willingness from staff was weak. Not very hospitable, in exception for the doorman. Rooms are connected by cold corridors sometimes in the open cold weather. It is a winter hotel.
In general good value for the money, great modern style environment, compared to other similar facilities in Greece.
Lack of window screens for bugs in the rooms. We had rather good size spiders roaming the room and bathroom...Missing Air conditioning due to the fact we had to keep the windows closed at night...The safe was mulfunctioning although they changed the batteries once. The coffee machine never worked...
Our stay at the Grand Forest Hotel in Metsovo was great. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern yet full of warmth, perfectly complementing the natural surroundings. The burning fireplace at the lobby was so beautiful and kept us warm in the cold weather. Our room was incredibly spacious, and the view of the mountains from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. One of the highlights of our stay was the pool. We had a complimentary 30 minutes private appointment at the heated pool while overlooking the serene landscape. It was such a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. We also treated ourselves to a massage at their spa, and it was one of the most relaxing treatments we ever had—the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.
The water were flowing from the shower and the bathmat was soaked in water every time we took a shower.I would also rather it would be an adult only hotel
The room was large and the view was amazing. The food at the restaurant was very good.
The sauna costs an extra charge. Also you must book an appointment for entering the heatted pool and jacuzzi

Not Family-Friendly – Disappointing ExperienceThis hotel is not suitable for families with kids. The pool schedule for children (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM) is impractical—our first day was wasted as check-in is at 3:00 PM. The “kids club” was just a cold room with a few toys and no qualified staff. The pool was another letdown: cold water, cold environment, and not kid-friendly. Food was average, but prices were high, and the menu was unsuitable for young children—there weren’t even simple options like soup for them.We were forced to upgrade to a suite at double the price because our 5-year-old needed a separate bed, despite explaining she sleeps with us. At €400 per night, it was a poor value.Would only recommend for couples, not families.
The location, the tranquility, the great staff & within options of discovering a special nearby area & excellent breakfast,
The rooms are a little tired, in need of refreshment and renewal, as a 5-star resort should be.
We value rest and disconnection the most when we travel for leisure. We have high standards when it comes to this price point, which were met along the way. The contact with the nature, the design was exquisite and the food was delicious.
I valued everything. Just because I’m a detailed oriented person, I would suggest to add a bit more amenities and Thea in the room as an extra option for those who can’t take caffeine.
The massage in the spa was great, the view was amazing, the staff was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was the best we had on this trip
The jacuzzi wasn't warm enough, and for this time of the year, it was a little bit cold
