About

Perfect location, friendly helpful staff, nice room and bar

Very good, sufficient and easily accessible.

Car parking. Not familiar with narrow streets of Fouras. Would have liked car to be nearer to hotel and would have reserved secure parking if sufficient spaces available. But will know another time!very happy with our stay by all in

    Location, facilities staff

Random noise like a pump going off every minute through the night next to our room. Staff were going to look into as we only mentioned when checking out.Bar closes early

Good location and nice inner courtyard.

Very poor breakfast with a very limited choice and apple juice which had gone off. When we reported the issue with the juice the staff seemed very defensive and tried to blame the supplier. We then found a large bed bug in the bed and when we reported it to the reception and told them we’d caught it and left it under a glass they simply said they didn’t know they had them and that they’d tell the cleaner. They never apologised or mentioned it again. The bathroom was very tired and needed modernising.

Excellent location. Lovely pool and steam room. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Excellent en-suite. Friendly and helpful staff.

This was a very last minute booking due to another property that I had booked and received confirmation for, but had overbooked therefore could not accommodate us.Although initially I was not in the best of moods due to this error after a long drive, when I arrived at Grand Hotel des bains my mood suddenly changed, this was thanks to the delightful welcome we received on arrival by the young man at reception, in fact there were two and both very polite. The man who took over dealing with my check in was so professional in every aspect, he gave a thorough introduction to the hotel and its facilities along with some very useful local knowledge of the area. The hotel itself although looking a little tired and in need of some maintenance in the reception area, was perfect for us in terms of location and for having a spa facility. This is only a three star hotel so not expecting any form of grandeur, therefore perhaps the name is not quite fitting.Despite my personal thoughts on this please do not be put off at all, what this place lacks in elegance it certainly makes up for in the friendliness and hospitality of all members of staff who truly make you feel welcome. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and fitted with everything you would expect with quality furnishings, the en-suite showroom was contemporary and sparkling clean. There was a small function in the dining room beneath our room but this did not disturb us in anyway. There is parking available in a secure garage next to the hotel at an extra cost but I chose to park on the street which is free parking.Breakfast as I recall has two charging options, I opted for the higher rate which provided a nice breakfast but unfortunately not the best I have experienced. This was my first time in Fouras and I was completely blown away by the beauty of this little seaside town. I hope I will visit again in the future and I will certainly rebook into the Grand Hotel. Thank you to each and everyone of the staff.

Great location close to the beach and the newly renovated main street within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops. The indoor pool, steam room and sauna are clean and popular. Very good breakfast, either in the dining room or out in the courtyard. The room was OK for size, bathroom small but in good order. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely older hotel with spa in a beautifull place

WIFI signal not good, bsr closed 8.30pm

The spa was great although the jacuzzi didn't always work

    Room felt a bit small

    9WilliamPosted on: 10-29-2023

The staff were lovely and very helpful on the whole. The room was nice, clean and of a decent size. The breakfast choice was very good and well worth the extra money. We paid for the secure parking and this was worth it as it was just across the road from the hotel and we did not have to drive around looking for street parking.

We were on the first floor which was not too good for us oldies. Should have requested ground floor or near elevator. Bar closed at 8.30pm which meant you couldn't relax with a nightcap before bed.

The ambience, the room was spacious, the breakfast good, the courtyard welcoming and the little cafe/bar made one feel at home.

    Perfect location, inner patio

Limited bar opening hours, room below the street level, heavy mold smell, pic-nic forbidden in the patio, crowded breakfast area, poor breakfast

The room was lovely with a partial sea view and a small balcony (room no 1). The staff were very friendly, especially Alexis. He was so welcoming and helped us with our French (he does speak excellent English too). The hotel is walking distance to the beach and some nice restaurants. My husband is vegetarian and Alexis recommended a very lovely restaurant on the seafront that served a delicious vegetarian Dali.

Nothing, it was a lovely stay.

Good location and the room was spacious and quiet. The young guy who welcomed us was extremely helpful and friendly.

The breakfast was a help yourself buffet which was not value for money.
