LBV House Hotel

Beautiful view, great amenities, very helpful staff. We had to leave early on our last day and the staff made us a lunch box to go because we would miss breakfast. It was a really nice touch.

It requires a workout to get there on foot, but the effort is worth it

Very nice hotel with a great breakfast, private patio and pool. The covered parking under the hotel was convenient. Staff is great and a sweet little cat will keep you company in the bar area.?

The location is high on a hill over the river. The road is tricky. We like walking, but the walk into town was difficult due to the narrow, steep cobbled roads. We had dinner in town and opted to take a taxi back up the hill.

Lovely property with a wonderful view of the Duoro Valley. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice breakfast each morning and the pool was great, especially the day we arrived early and we were able to use the pool until check-in. Nice pool umbrellas to keep you cool! It was a 10’ steep walk up from town, but you could get a taxi for 5E if needed. The staff was helpful for arranging rides.

The property is up a steep hill, so nicer to taxi with luggage (5E). After that, it is up and down, but walk-able.

Spectacular view, the infinity pool was a big plus!The staff were so helpful and friendly. The indoor parking was a big plus. The breakfast was also very good.

The location was giving us a wonderful view of the river. We loved that there was a covered garage and a nice breakfast.

You are reliant on taxis to get to the town (only 5 min journey but do expect to pay between 7-10 euros per trip)

The pool was amazing! The patio was great! You can walk down to the restaurants, it took about 12 minutes. It’s all downhill, so it takes a bit longer to get up!

The beds were a bit hard.

The walk back from town

The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, comfortable and looked as if they had been recently refurbished.

The reception staff were not particularly warm or welcoming. Compared to other hotels in this part of Portugal this one is overpriced. It was not made clear at checkin that there is no one at reception before 8 am in the morning - we left at 7.30 am to catch an early train and found the front door locked and no staff available to let us out. We eventually found a way out through the basement garage.

The walls were thin so you could hear other people. The view was lovely unless you looked down from the balcony. Then you could see a truck depot across the road.

Everything was perfect. This property is a hidden gem. Benllde was so helpful. She prepared an amazing charcuterie board and salad for part of our group and was most helpful booking us into a wine tour. The breakfast was great!

The beds tend to the hard side.

The view was breathtaking. Across the river we saw all the grape vineyards. Room was simple but had everything needed. Breakfast was a great touch.

The location was high up and we used the car to get to the Center. The vue from the hotel terrass was lovely. Nice breakfast and polite staff.

It was commodious and immaculate with all modern amenities. There is also a great underground garage for your vehicle.

It was not an issue for me but requires a considerable uphill trek to reach from town that might not be optimal for people with limited mobility.
