The room and the house facilities were nice and brand new, and the hosts were very warm and cooperative.

The location is not the best and really affected our stay due to the narrow routes facing the cliffs, to the point that we decided to shorten our stay. Also to be commented: they charge 2 euros for pool's towels. However, due to the fact that we left early, they charged us for the room as expected but released us for paying the towels fees.

Eduardo and his parents were kind and gracious hosts. They went out of their way to make our check in, stay and visits to the vineyard as convenient as possible. Eduardo also especially arranged a pick up and drop to and from the Pinhao railway station as he was available at the time and at a minimal fee. The place was beautiful and clean. We got to taste the Portuguese traditional cuisine for dinner and breakfast was good with plenty of options at the buffet.

Make sure you have your lunch before arrival as besides the vending machine, there are no food options until the main meal times. It's a rural residential area, so there aren't accessible restaurants at least within walking distance.I'd suggest a 2 night stay as you can get other activities like boat riding, vineyard visits, done in 2 days rather than 1.

Our time here was way too short. This property was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated, and had an exceptional staff. The views all around are breathtakingly beautiful. We had dinner here one night and it was fantastic. The staff couldn’t do enough to help you. They arranged a nearby wine tasting that was great and helped us with a boat cruise. Also included was our breakfast each day which was excellent. Our room was very comfortable and the bed was perfect! My only regret was not staying longer.

Just be aware that ur driving in Douro Valley which has narrow roads and this accommodation is up at a high elevation like most in the area. Take ur time and always be cautious when driving there and you’ll be fine. It’s worth the drive!!

A cute little place run by a lovely family. Loved the dinner provided! Definitely eat dinner here! Breakfast was basic but good. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed walking to the nearby viewpoint.

Location is right on the road but it wasn’t too noisy. Room is a bit small but comfortable enough.

Fantastic location, hosts, breakfast. Very comfortable beds and large spacious room. Had a heat pump and very warm with great views. Parking easy outside the guest house. Great with a baby from high chair, toys, considered at meals (baby friendly options), and great cot with linen. Highly recommend adding on the dinner, was exceptional. Hosts are fantastic with lots of recommendations and very friendly. Our baby loved playing at the guest house with them. Perfect stay and can’t recommend enough.

    Nothing. Was exceptional.

Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. Our hosts were so kind and caring we felt like they had become our friends. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The breakfast offerings were delicious and we had home cooked four course dinners both evenings that were very satisfying. Our hosts arranged a winery tour for us that we greatly enjoyed.

We cannot think of anything that could have been better for us. We were even given a treat bag of cookies to send us on our way and a warm farewell from the lovely couple who were our hosts.

This was our favorite accommodation during our month-long trip to Portugal. The property is absolutely wonderful, impeccably clean, and nestled in the stunning Douro Valley. Its tranquil atmosphere made our stay extremely relaxing. The lovely couple who run this place are kind, laid-back, and helpful, creating a special ambiance that makes you feel right at home.We spent three days here, savoring Christina's delicious, traditional Portuguese cuisine. We ate there every night as it was so good. Breakfast was also outstanding. We often unwound in the cozy lobby area, which felt like our own living room! Hiking in the villages near the hotel was just fabulous! We loved this place!!

A modern well appointed guesthouse with extremely helpful owners. The dinner was superb. The rural setting is very beautiful - the spring blossoms a bonus.

    10DinaPosted on: 4-8-2025

A family run Guesthouse, the attention to detail and the welcoming attitude made the stay exceptional. The mother cooked our excellent supper one night. The location was near Pinhao and other Douro sights.

    Parking is at a premium.

New, modern and  very peaceful  guest house. The hosting family are the nicest people, very attentive and welcoming, making us feel at home. The room was of good size, spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The guest house offers an excellent atmosphere, very quiet and relaxed. Dinners were excellent, a real treat. We will certainly love to come back, anytime.

Very good. Great bed and slept well.

There was a mould problem in the bathroom. As I have a mould allergy, this unfortunately made me feel unwell after using the bathroom.

Modern hotel, clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Excellent value evening dinner which was great as a drive to other restaurants. We liked location as in small village and we walked to Pinhao. Hosts very helpful and welcoming.

Our room was at front of building on road. Was noisy on occasion.

    10DoniePosted on: 10-22-2024

We loved the location, quiet and peaceful and beautiful high above Pinhao (the drive up and down was gorgeous), the host family was wonderful, very welcoming and genuinely enjoyed their guests, we loved visiting with them! Parking was easy, the beds were very comfortable, and oh, what delicious dinners! Such a treat to eat such wonderful meals! It was our favorite stay in the month we’ve been traveling!

A small refrigerator in the room would have been nice to keep drinks cold, but that’s a minor thing. We would stay here again and again!
