Alentejano Low Cost Hotel

We love Estremoz and we akways stay at this little hotel. It's clean, comfortable, breakfast is included and has a great restaurant. The service is good and the food and location are excellent.

Hearing someone snoring next door,too much noise coming through from the street, metal bed makes a noise when you turn, no WiFi signal in room 103., electricity plugs hard to get to.

We liked the location.

Decor, furnishings, fixtures and fittings very tired or broken.

Lack of English so difficult to understand menu

What you would expect from a 1* hotel for bed and breakfast. It was clean and in a good location so no problems with it whatsoever ?

I like the rooms. There is heating and blankets in each room.

Check in was difficult as the hotel staff was serving in the cafe. Our room 202 on the top floor was freezing. Bed was lumpy. Breakfast was a pastry.

It really was built as a palace around 17th century. Marble stairs and ornate ceilings show its grand past. Comfy big beds huge bathroom en suite. Air con.are good points. Rooms are old but clean. Nice towels.

A simple handrail (100€).on the long flight of stairs would improve accessibility and safety a great deal

It was a bit noisy outside at night due to the location.

It was a pefect place next to the antiek market on saterday dinner was great but you order fot one person and it is enough for 2 persons perfect

Poor breakfast with unwelcoming staff

Not made welcome both on arrival & at Breakfast..plates slammed down on the table. Estramoz is a beautiful city with lovely shops and facilities..this hotel does not reflect this at all.. not recommended.

The pillows were tiny

The location was perfect, a very central and calm area. The hotel is quite an antique, but that's the beautiful part about it, it really is like a travel back in time. Price-quality relationship.

I really enjoyed everything about my stay. My only suggestion would be to pay a bit more of attention to cleaning. It was quite clean the place, but not to the maximum detail.

We loved the cozy, old, feeling; like we were stepping back 150 years in history. The room, though old, was clean, had a comfortable bed, and nice bathroom. The view from the balcony was breathtaking.

The hotel seemed under-staffed, with one man running the bar, the restaurant, and the room service. He did his best, but it was a bit disconcerting to be walked out the back door of the pub, down the street in the rain, and into an old building with a "closed for restoration" sign on the outside door. But once we got to the room it was well worth it.

Location

We unfortunately can not speak portuguese or Spanish- I had hoped my smile and actions would help, but no smile returned and no help.

great balcony, very big room.I also liked the ‘wild west’ type bar downstairs.

I felt the property was geared towards Portuguese toutourists. language was a major issue, I couldn’twork out where to go for breakfast and sometimesfelt the landlady begrudged me being there.
