Charming town, just off the motorway, easy route to Hamburg. Decent hotel.

Restaurant was not great (it was ok - three stars out of 5). Very heavy menu, practically all choices with heavy sauces/gravies - all on cream. Meat/fish choices either with sauce or breaded/fried. Everything on grease. Our stomachs gave up after two evenings and on the third we cancelled our reservation to eat somewhere else.

Location excellent for an overnight stay after a long drive. Food including breakfast was high standard

We were charge for breakfast, even it was included (Booking.com) in the price for the room.We did order a standard room, but we regret, and wrote to the hotel that we would like a better/bigger room - and the hotel did confirm that through Booking.com.But when we arrived, there was no such room for us.Also the hotel has written in Booking.com that the beds are extra large, that is not correct. Our bed was only 160 cm wide - and the room was very small (and the bathroom even smaller).As I use a walker, it was very difficult to move in the room because the bed is placed very odd in the room.And the deep fryer smell from the kitchen was all over the hotel. My hair felt greasy because of this.And in in hotel hall in the first floor had a step, so it is not very easy for disabled people.It was also very noisy, it was placed directory to the street.

They forgot to prepare a sofa bed to sleep for our child.

Room and facilities were ok the restaurant and buffet breakfast were disappointing.

Restaurant was extremely disappointing and the staff seemed miserable.

Very charming hotel, easy to find. Plenty of parking and pet friendly. I arrived late-ish, but they still rustled up a nice dinner for me and were very efficient.

Excellent location for our route, easy to find in the town of Egestorf, very nice room.

There was more noise from people dropping into this local waterhole than we've had at other places nearby, but hey it's in the centre of town, so not surprising.

The hotel is in a great location and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast selection was excellent.

We ate dinner at the restaurant and whilst the food was good the service was slow and it took forever to arrive. It took 15-20 mins to take our order and then over an hour until we were served our food.

In close proximity to the autobahn, easy late night check-in, decently sized rooms and a fine German breakfast. Free parking too.

Convenient location near chemist, supermarket and other restaurants. Ample parking. Staff was courteous and accommodating.

Expansive breakfast options with plenty of hot and cold options. Nice location that was easy to find. Clean room with a nice shower. Friendly staff accommodated my late arrival.
