Maischeider Hof

We stayed here while passing through from Frankfurt to Cologne, as the hotel is conveniently located close to the autobahn. There’s a parking area right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, making our short stay very pleasant.

The breakfast was not particularly good. The variety was quite limited. We also didn’t realize that many guests stay here with their dogs. I know that some guests find it very nice, but for us it was below expectations. To be fair, the hotel does mention this on their page, but WE MISSED IT. It was actually our first time staying at a pet-friendly hotel, and we were a bit startled when we came across dogs walking with their owners in the corridors. If you don’t like dogs or feel uncomfortable around them, it might be something to keep in mind before booking.

The sheets on the bed has hair on it. I have to lay on the top of my scarfs and use my jacket as a blanket.

Fabulous authentic hotel in a beautiful quiet location, the staff, Suzanne, were excellent and do the best goulash soup I’ve ever had, great bar too??

We did not like the breakfast options much, the room being very warm and loud enough on the street side to wake us up. Cannot tell on bedroom on the otherside.

Very friendly staff and very accommodating as we arrived much earlier than we had planned but let us have the room. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast also good with a reasonable array of choices.

Very cute little hotel that was the perfect stop for the start of our moto tour from the Netherlands. We got in late and the keys were left for us, making it easy to get in. Scrupulously clean room - nothing fancy but it's not pretending to be. Breakfast was tasty and the host was very nice. Great value for money if you want somewhere not too expensive and still comfy and clean (who doesn't want that!?).

We always visit this hotel while travelling to UK. Even if we spend always one night going to and one night going back from the ship, we love this hotel. Great personnel, nice location, tidyness, great breakfast.... We will definitely return whenever on the trip to UK

This is a great place to stay, traditional simple, great food, lovely breakfast and comfortable room - perfect!

Perfect for a cross-EU trip. Clost to motorway, good food, comfy beds.

Breakfast was a perfect Continental breakfast with the freshest rolls and plenty coffee. Dinner with friends the night before was just what was needed and all had a great time with good food, wine and company.

Very friendly welcome, and pleasant surroundings. The hotel was not far off from the motorway and easy to find with SatNav. Clean environment and lovely traditional rooms. Variety of breakfast dishes and excellent evening meal. Can't fault it. Amazing!

the decor very dated with shag pile rugs in the room and dark coloured pillows and duvet covers which gives the appearance of being dirty even if it’s not.

Close to the highway so this is a good hotel for a stop over for the night. Good beds. Breakfast was sufficient.

A bit expensive for what you get. Would expect to pay 70-75 for a room like this.

Our room was spotless clean, newly decorated and spacious. The beds were very comfortable! Beautiful clean smell in the hotel hallways and room. Near to the motorway but in a quiet location. Great value for money! Could stay with our dogs :) breakfast not a big choice but enough for the price :) would recommend 100%

The hotel experience was outstanding. Room was very clean and nice. The bar and garden are also very relaxing. You can easily sit there for a few hours. Location is also good. It’s close by the high way. The owner is also really nice and telling nice things about the area.
