The rooms are decorated with hardwood floors, bright colors and large windows. There are rooms available for disabled guests as well. On sunny days, guests can relax on the terrace looking out over the typical De Beemster scenery. There are also barbecue facilities, bike rental and tourist information available. Purmerend and Alkmaar are within 8 miles of the property and provide a peaceful route to travel by bike. Zaandam is a 20 minute drive away. Amsterdam is 30 minutes from Rijper Eilanden by car.

I like the hotel's decor and antiques. The breakfast is tasty and plentiful, and the facilities and rooms are spacious. The reception staff is very friendly.
Looks like a museum. That gives a character.

Cons -

The bathrooms of the rooms need renovation, they are very old and the laminate flooring has damage and some are coming off
The rooms are quite old and lacks all kinds of facilities. Simply there are none. Bathroom is also old fashioned, but very large. WC looked very dirty. Beds were too soft, not to average persons taste, I believe. It's difficult to judge cleanless since everything looks old. Breakfast was ok.
