Great service and very friendly staff. Room was spectular.

I felt that guests should have been able to use the spa at no additional cost. I have never had to pay at any other hotel.

what can you not love or like about this property? It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly. Our room was magnificent very comfortable and the view was beautiful. Getting to look out at the countryside and seeing the Atlantic ocean all at one time.

There was absolutely nothing you could say negatively about this place.

We had such a lovely time at The Shandon Hotel. We were upgraded to a seaview room on arrival, which was such a thoughtful surprise — and honestly, the view was incredible. Looking out over the water every morning was the perfect way to start the day.The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about guests having a good experience.The food was fantastic too — fresh, tasty, and plenty of choice whether you’re after something casual or a bit more special. Can’t recommend The Shandon enough for a relaxing break in a beautiful part of Donegal. Thanks again to the whole team — we’ll definitely be back!

Lovely location near to a beautiful beach. Room was reasonable, not luxurious, but with all necessary re facilities. The bed was rather small and the duvet was too heavy. The staff in the restaurant were rather slow and the food was pretty poor with a small menu to choose from. Considering the hotel is right next to the sea, there was very little seafood on the menu.

Comfortable well run hotel with friendly staff. Good indoor pool.

Very Relaxing just what I needed destress enjoyed it the Staff was so lovely and friendly having the opportunity to to unwind and soak up in the sunshine the Spa was amazing just perfect

Room was big and spacious. Plenty of parking. Great views from the room. Close to the beach

Room was too far from the internet and so connection was poor. Kids meals in restaurant were not as described

The hotel is located very close to a beautiful beach. The food in the bar is fabulous. Very quick service and beautifully presented. All staff were friendly and helpful.

The spa (which is separate from the hotel but advertised as one) is very expensive and not value for money. The pool in the hotel is included in the price and just as good.

Staff were friendly and polite. Spa was excellent, massage from Rita.

Food was of a very poor standard in the bar. The restaurant was not open even though they told us hotel was full for valentines and half term week. There was insufficient seating in the main foyer area and it was freezing cold. There was a burst pipe which was outside of their control (water off for more than 5 hours, no shower no toilet) but it was still frustrating and no offer of recompense. We didn’t ask as that was not the point and it only added to the negative experience

Table service in the restaurant was a little slow and not very attentive even when not busy. But still enjoyed the food.

found the steps hard to climb as I have health problems - will know next visit to get let off at door!!!

The food for lunch and evening was poor. Bert’s bar very overpriced, poor quality and JoJo cocktail bar very outdated and dirty basic chairs etc Breakfast acceptable and staff helpful
