Campanile Mâcon Sud - Chaintré

OK for an overnight stop but nothing more

Thr hotel badly needs an update. The cheees on the breackfast buffet was dry and curling up, the cold cuts of meat wasn't much better, luckily there was bread, jam and coffee.

Nice room, easy to find. And relaxing restaurant

Maybe a update on the rooms, still comfy , maybe a little dated

You can't get much better for what this kind of hotel does – comfy bed, quiet, free parking, perfectly good restaurant + breakfast and ten mins from the autoroute. This was my third stay.

no hair drier in the room (not really a big deal)

Room good, bed excellent and bathroom spacious.Breakfast good quulity in a bare room with bad dining furniture and ambiance.Arriving at 8pm at night in the dark, The Campanile did'nt have any lit signs easily visible from the main road.At the front desk we had 3 attempts to get the key to open our door for the furthest upstairs room via crumbling outdoor steps in the dark.Staff person not obliging or friendly or apologetic. My husband speaks very good French, Kathryn Steele, Australia.

Shabby. A/C not working. Poor access to first floor rooms, especially for elderly.

Nothing , had to refuse to stay as reception was unfriendly & unhelpful and have not been given our money back

Totally full of migrants occupying the rooms and putting all their clothing and shoes everywhere. The rooms were not clean , smelt awful , carpets stained and not acceptable,so we had to book in to another better hotel

The staff was really good bar and restaurant was nice and enjoyed the continental breakfast.

The accommodation was warn, tired and needs updating, dirt and dust in the windows and blinds but the big issue for me and my family we had very hit and miss air-conditioning worked one min then stopped and in august at 33 degrees being very muggy made it uncomfortable to sleep, towels and bedding was clean amenities worked fine just need updating, brightening up.

Location was good. Didn't have breakfast

Property was petty run down. There wasn't any indoor lock for the room. The bed was broke down and there wasn't any hair dryer in the the room.

we always use Campanile for stopovers in France as you know what you get, the beds were comfortable and staff very friendly. Short drive into Macon, where we had a lovely meal.

It just seemed tired, shower wasn’t great, pillows need replacing and they could do with an outside seating area by the bar/restaurant.

Staff a little abrupt, no chance of dinner in your restaurant as it was fully booked part of the reason we chose campinal

Location. Travelling from Calais to the south of France, so stopping here overnight was very convenient

Double bed was supremely uncomfortable. Woke up with very stiff sore backs

Classic Campanile: pretty basic with small and slightly stuffy rooms, but all fine.

As it's a smaller Campanile, the restaurant and facilities are more limited (i.e. smaller buffet, not much space in general) - but fine.

Easy to find, restaurant on site. A pleasant place to stay for a stopover

Facilities were a bit tired but everything worked.

Aircon worked well. Next to a good Buffalo Gril next door which also had good Aircon. Kettle was missing but they gave us free tea and coffee from the restaurant I the morning

Location was in a village with not much in it. Seems like you have to pay €65 for a passable place to stay

Extremely nice and accommodating staff! Service in the restaurant was really friendly as well, and overall price quality is good. The hotel is close to the highway and therefore good for a night stayover.....

The room is small, beds are comfortable though.

Good location off the motorway for an overnight stop.

Motel like format is practical but basic.
