Pros +
- The room was small but clean and cozy with large bathroom and all the necessary stuff. The location is in the center of town, walking distance to Cheverny castle. We were also lucky to take part in the local celebration of grape harvest, so here is a tip look around for the local festivals while travelling along Loire. The hotel shares the common walls with the cathedral and it's pleasantly surprising to see the grey stone of the church as a part of a corridor interior. The parking is free of charge with enough parking space. There is a boulangerie 20 meters from the hotel, try local croissant and la brioche!
- The hotel is almost perfect in a lovely location. We have stayed at the hotel a number of times and always look forward to visiting the town.
- I will happily return to this establishment. An excellent hotel with a traditional style exterior with a modern interior and rooms. Plenty of car parking in its car park and a large outbuilding where motorcycles and bikes could be securely stored overnight. The rooms were large, very comfortable and quiet. I ate in their restaurant. The ambience was nice and so was the food.
Cons -
- The lack of tea and coffee making facilities was disappointing. I can’t think of many hotels of this standing, not to provide this basic facility.
- In the restaurant I was ignored until I complained to one of the staff. Very frustrating but maybe it was because I was a solo traveller and I was placed in the corner of the restaurant. That would not stop me from going back again.
- Sometimes noisy in the middle of the night

Welcoming staff, lovely restaurant, delicious food, clean comfortable rooms and very accommodating with our dog (he was allowed in the restaurant).
Clean, charming and excellent breakfast
Sometimes noisy in the middle of the night
Very friendly staff. Excellent restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.
Room rather small with no view.
Nice room and bathroom, albeit rather smaller than we had hoped for. Breakfasts and evening dinners were all excellent. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking for the car and the hotel is situated in a pretty little town, within walking distance of the Chateau Cheverny.
We thought this was expensive for the room we were given.
Staff were lovely... Everything was clean... Such a lovely hotel.... And we got upgraded... What a treat!
Recently renovated house with good restaurant (with terrace) and friendly staff. Excellent location for visits of some of the Châteaux in the region. Can recommend Chaumont-sur-Loire and its gardens!
Our window was to a street with some noise - needed to keep the window closed.
Excellent renovated comfortable bedrooms. Stylist elegant surroundings . Dinner - eventually was good.
Overall staff are set in their ways. They are courteous but a bit mechanical. The "Hotel" service is effectively closed between lunch and dinner. The attractive street terrace and Bar remain closed until 18.00. There is an obvious loss of foot fall. The dinning room is elegant with suitable period decoration and fine linen. Some restaurants use electronic ordering which alerts the kitchen to prepare food. Here there are a small number of station waiters who take hard copy orders in duplicate , pin them with a clothes peg to a board in the dinning room, and then to the kitchen. Food service is painfully slow and comis staff often bring hot food to the sideboard where it awaits the attention of a station waiter who then goes to check from the clothes peg which table is due to be fed. The aged system can work but station waiters also look after answering the telephone, accpeting payment bills, seating guests and occasionally delivering food! The general ambience would benefit- no NEEDS - some discrete music . It would not take much to sort out the system or ordering AND more staff are required.
Location. Easy to park
Breakfast buffet was not replenished - some items not available for late risers
Nice, quiet stay and really great restaurant. Comfortable bed and modern furnishings.
Great Hotel. We had a spacious room. It was very calm and close to Chateau de Cheverny. Very professional staff. Great dinner and breakfast.
Incredibly friendly staff, beautifully styled hotel and restaurant, great location in the centre of Cour Cheverny close to the castle. Enjoyed apéro and dinner in the sun and a lovely game of snooker after dinner.
Airconditioning was not working and we did not realised until after reception had closed - had to sleep with the window open facing the street. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable (too firm!) and pillows felt like bags of sand.
Very comfortable bed. Good restaurant. Good location. Good shower.
The bedroom was very small, with no easy chair.
The hotel was lovely. Our room was fairly basic, and small, but had nice touches (fabrics etc), and we had a large bathroom. the staff were very friendly, and the restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. There was lots of parking. The village is very nice, and it is conveniently close to Cheverny Chateau
The room was small, and there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room
A nice 4 Stars hotel and restaurant near Chambord.Welcoming and helpful staffSpacious room and comfortable beddingBar fridge inside the room.
It would be nice to have a kettle and tea/coffee inside the room. Also expect to have a heated towel rack inside the bathroom.
Charming place with a great restaurant and a friendly staff.
Average rooms are quite small
The grand old property, it’s clean, good room, lovely restaurant, dog-friendly, parking.
Unfortunately, the restaurant, bar, and public areas were closed on our second night. Breakfast was a bit mean for the price.
Good location, as you'd expect from the name. Easy parking (but car park itself needs a little work). Pleasant courtyard at front of hotel for breakfast or drinks. Breakfasts were good with a good selection
Dining room was dark, so we chose to eat elsewhere.
