Wonderful location, property and staff. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with all our questions about the area.

The beds could be a bit more comfortable/softer. The pillows were very uncomfortable/too hard. Something to consider: would be nice to have a variety of softness/firmness to the pillows offered.

I stayed here for two nights and wish I could have stayed longer. This hotel and the town of Gimillan were exactly the quiet spot in nature that I needed. My room was clean and comfortable and quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious. There are lots of hiking trails nearby. It's easy to get into Cogne but I loved being able to retreat to the more relaxed feel in Gimillan. Also, the staff at this hotel are very kind and friendly, especially Paolo and Lorenzo. This is a special place and I highly recommend staying here!

Great Breakfast in a "time has stopped" kind of an italian mountain hotel. The owner is very friendly and there is a really nice bar.

The shower was luke warm the first night.

The hotel is located in a scenic overlook of Cogne which is about 3 kms. down the road. A quiet, peaceful place in a small mountain hamlet. A wonderful restaurant serving superb local cuisine is within walking distance. The gentleman owner is always on site and the hotel is professionally staffed. It provides great value to mountain sportsmen, site seers or to those looking for an affordable romantic get away! I intend to return here.

The place is a pretty cozy space to have a detox from the city and do a walk around Gimillan and appreciate the mountains. The hospitality was pretty good as they gave me recommendations of what to do around and how to locate in the area.

The Beds were quite thin

Very welcoming owner,helpful too,,very comfortable bed,,stunning views from village looking down onto town of Cogne and valley.I booked a single room but was given a double room.

The hotel is three kilometres by road from town of Cogne,, Its a steep winding road to walk if you don't have a car.Thankfully there is a shuttle bus from Cogne ,the frequency of buses depends on the time of year,,,very regular during the summer.

I stayed there one week to do the gran paradiso.The room and the service was very good.I would recommend this hotel.The breakfast was good too with delicious coffee.

Very nice location and personell very kind and friendly. I loved the view of the landscape from the hotel. The center of Cogne is not far, around 10 minutes by car. Braskfast is good!

If you don't want to take the car or the bus to go skiing or eating this is not the best place to stay. It is not far but you can't reach the center on foot.

Cosy & comfortable place / rooms to stay while visiting & hiking the Gran Paradiso NP. Was my 2nd time there.Owner really friendly & caring of his guests.Good breakfast & variety of food.Gimilan is a really authentic village, 5 min drive up from Cogne main village. in summer it’s just a 20-30 min walk down to the shops & restaurants, and there are some buses as well.

Great hotel in the perfect location for me. Half way up the side of the valley in Gimillan, the hotel is beautiful. Very spacious and comfortable, right in the centre of the town, it ticked all the boxes I needed.

It is a great location in a small village high in the mountain. Stoning views to the surrounding mountains and glaciers. You can go hiking direct from the village. The landlord was very friendly and although we do not speak French he explains us all we need to know.

We had quite small room at the top of the building. We stayed only three nights so we were ok with it. What really disturbed us were the measurements regards the current situation. I understand that they have to follow them but it could be in a reasonable way. We had a temperature measured at arrival after been hours driving in the hot car and the breakfast was not self service. We used to eat a strong breakfast when go cycling/hiking for several hours. First morning we got three slices of such thin bread that one can almost see through it. So we went for more food and staff commented. I felt like as I was begging for food and it was humiliating. For the price we paid we expect to eat as much as we want and not that someone constantly asking me if I had enough! The following morning we immediately asked for more. Very bad experience we have never had before.

We loved the silence, the trees and meadows. The place is high up on the mountain side, with a breathtaking view of he highest peaks. There is no TV in the rooms, so it feels very meditative.Lots of cakes and croissants for breakfast.
