Hotel Petit Dahu - Chambres et Restaurant

This was such a comfy hotel perfect to kick off the festive celebrations. Right in the middle of the gran paradiso park it’s a gorgeous place to enjoy some snow and unwind. The room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We could even bring our dog for an extra charge which was great.

The valley, the room and the breakfast! so so good ?

Some problems with the valley taxes and the payment... difficult to have cash when you live in another country.

Location is amazing, the hotel is a charming property. The hosts are welcoming and friendly and they prepare really good food. The rooms are very clean. Recommend to compliment your stay with their dinner.

The place was right in the middle of the best hiking trails and away from the hustle and bustle of urban living. The dinner they served us was superb and was served in a cozy dining room. (We ate at a highly recommended restaurant the next night and we regretted it!)

There was the smell of rusty pipes in the water in the bathroom. I wish that could be fixed. But I could live with it.

Breakfast was great. The chef also every day bakes his own pastries. Also various cereals, breads and topings, as well as different fresh fruit.Dinner... amazing!! We were a group of 9 (had 5 out of the 7 rooms) and first thought we would have dinner in town every second evening. In the end we had dinner "at home" on 6 of the 7 nights. The dinner was creative, beautiful to look at .... but even more delicious! Great choice of wines too.The rooms are quite simple, but very clean. Good shower. Also a desk where you can work at.

Not a single thing!

The hotel is in a wonderful location at the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park. The room was cool, quiet and very clean. We had all we needed. The hosts are great and friendly and we felt very much at home. They also offer dinner on a fixed menu; I initially declined being a vegetarian but then they prepared a fully vegetarian meal for us one of the evening. Great stay, I’d wholeheartedly recommend!

the personel was verry helpfull. Verry surprising diner. Good communication, deliciouse food, breakfast. We didn't order a vegetarian food, but it was made just on the spot. Verry good chef ;)

No option to make tea or coffee.Breakfast was cute and tasty, but limited options.would have been nice to be able to use the lobby as a comfortable seating area to relax.

The location is superb. Outside of Cogne, in Valnontey, very close to all the walking trails. Views are breathtaking. The host is very friendly. The rooms very cosy, nice and clean (and dog friendly). And the food… it is soooo good. We are missing it already. Highly recommended.

Everything was great. (I found the mattress a little hard, but this is a personal taste).

. Breakfast was excellent despite no cooked food like eggs . Location is excellent at the start of lots of hikes. Foam pillows ! Bed was average but the foam pillows made for it. Room was very ckean and neat

. I upgraded to mountain view of Booking but the room I was assigned didn’t really have one. Restaurant closed Sunday evening . Bit noisy on ground floor due to poor floor soundproofing, it’s an old building

Incredible location, delicious dinner and breakfast and such lovely hosts. Valnontey is a little slice of paradise and Le Petit Dahu is a traditional house set in the village serving beautiful food.

The location is amazing and Valentina was very welcoming and accommodating for my stay given I spoke limited Italian. The amount of hiking you can access from the hotel is fantastic.

The hotel is just how it is pictured. Such a lovely and cozy place. Valentina was amazing from the moment we made our reservation until our departure. She responded quickly to any questions and requests, allowed us to add dinner for our second night (tip: go for the half board, the evening meals are gourmet and well worth the price, plus it lets you spend the whole day outdoors without having to worry about finding a place to eat or getting back to the hotel in the dark). Valentina also lent us a trail map so that we could figure out our hikes each day. The breakfast was amazing - so many options and very filling, perfect start for a day of hiking. There is a small parking lot beside the building for your car. The room was well organized with an ample closet with drawers and plenty of outlets for charging our devices. The hotel itself sits back a bit from the road, but it was still easy to find.

We appreciated the simple and clean rooms and the home like environment in this stunning historical location. The family who runs the hotel and restaurant are kind and Tiziano is an extremely talented chef. No need to go anywhere with such delicious food and incredible trails to hike all just outside the front door.

Careful planning well ahead is required to secure one of the 7 rooms.

The 3-course dinner was fantastic and good value for money at €30pp. It was close to the start of many hiking paths, with a nice view of mountains from the front side of the hotel.

We had higher hopes given the great reviews, but it was a bit disappointing overall. I booked a room with a terrace, and the terrace overlooked a chicken coop and dilapidated barn, with no view of the mountains. The bed was tiny and uncomfortable, and the bathroom decor was quite dated with only body wash provided (I would have expected more given the high price). The breakfast was mediocre — no eggs, no fresh fruit — which was surprising given how good the dinner was. We personally would have preferred to stay in Cognes and be closer to other restaurants and bars. Overall, the price was too high for what it was.

Had a fantastic stay at Petit Dahu, will definitely be back. The staff are so friendly and helpful, really lovely to us throughout our stay. The restaurant was brilliant, excellent food - would definitely recommend booking a table. The hotel is very cosy and charming and right on the edge of the National park and a few minutes drive to Cogne.

lovely location which is also the starting point of many nice tracks. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, with fresh bread! very friendly owners!

the bed mattress was a bit hard
