Pros +
- A really charming, traditional style, family run hotel. We loved the location, which is not only convenient but is set in the most picturesque spot overlooking the valley. Our room was charming and comfortable, just like the rest of the hotel, which is filled with paintings, portraits, local antiques and history. The Spa is fabulous too. 5 Stars
- This is a hotel that goes above and beyond in every aspect, yet does it in an unassuming and quiet way. If you care to look it's obvious how much thought has been put in to each detail. It is well-deserving of the Michelin recognition it has achieved. The location is to die for; the hotel manages to feel quaint while at the same time being quite luxurious. We particularly appreciated that the spa was included in the room price (aside from services such as massages). We did day hikes in the area during our stay, but it would have been easy to hang out at the spa all day long. The salt room was our favorite. The breakfast buffet wasn't the largest we have seen, but each item was delicious and there was nothing lacking.
- Great locationVery friendly helpful staff Free shuttle to hiking areasFantastic food
Cons -
- The beds are on the hard side.
- Prefer the old building than the new one
- Everyone, please be aware of the restaurant that collaborates with the hotel. There is a round logo plate with a bird on it displayed next to the elevator in the innermost part of the hotel. The restaurant is called “La Brasserie du Bon Bec”That day, we wanted to give this restaurant a try and asked the hotel to help us make a reservation for 19:00. We didn’t realize it was so close, so we arrived 12 minutes early at 18:48. When we opened the door and entered, we saw a group of staff sitting at a table on the left near the entrance, eating. No one greeted us. I took the initiative to say hello and informed them that we had a reservation for 19:00. A man and a woman, still seated, turned their heads and coldly, with resentful looks on their faces, said just one word: “19:00.” Not a single smile, not even the slightest hint of courtesy. If they had even smiled a little, I wouldn’t have been upset. If they had kindly told us to wait outside for 10 more minutes until opening, I wouldn’t have minded. But their rude behavior instantly made me feel sick. I immediately took my girlfriend and left. We went to another restaurant instead.I honestly don’t understand why a five-star hotel would collaborate with a restaurant that employs such staff. It instantly lowered the hotel’s prestige. My review of La Brasserie du Bon Bec is simply: rude, impolite, and ill-mannered. That moment nearly made me vomit. What gives them the arrogance to act this way?

Prefer the old building than the new one
Everything was fantastic! The hotel is right in the town center and offers a stunning view of the valley and distant mountains. Our room was very cozy, elegant and comfortable. Children are welcome and the staff is very attentive.
The personal service. From the moment we arrived everything was excellent. I loved the old world feel and decor with modern luxury
The overall service standards of the hotel are excellent. The staff are highly professional and very polite. The frequent room cleaning made me feel their genuine care for guests. The front desk staff member with glasses was especially friendly.Although the hotel is not very large, it is well-equipped with everything one might need. The breakfast was fantastic, and the room had an amazing view! The restaurant inside the hotel also provided outstanding service and delicious food.

Beautiful setting. Very friendly staff. Excellent food. Wonderful spa
A superb hotel with lovely, welcoming staff in an amazing location. Great spa facilities and fantastic restaurants on site.
This is our third time at the hotel, the experience is second to none. Exceptional food and advice on wine is truly outstanding. The added benefit of a world class spa experience just makes the stay even better. The sommelier also arranged a visit for us to the producer of Le Prissonier wine, outstanding memory. We will be back to the hotel soon.
Only problem this time was that our room was exceptionally warm and a little smaller than usually experienced.

Cleaning could be better
The views, the hotel, our room, the spa, the massage, the hiking, the food. The FOOD! Everything was fantastic! The staff were amazing. We had a wonderful honeymoon here. We will be back!
Location exceptional
On my checkout day there was no outside/terrace breakfast even though it was a beautiful sunny morning, unacceptable!! Great service in general, but unfriendly staff at the reception. Although there are multiple restaurants, we were only able to dine at the main hotel restaurant. The main restaurant is rather pretentious, but definitely doesn’t live up to them. The menu is small and repetitive (and very highly priced!). If you stay at the hotel for more than three days you’ll have seen and tasted it all. Furthermore, the main hotel restaurant has a ridiculously extensive wine menu (especially when compared to the ‘food’ menu), the sommelier is clearly very proud of his cellar and a bit snobby, bring a very very full wallet!!!To end on a positive note, the views of the valley are priceless and the service from the regular staff excellent!
friendly staff, spa, breakfast, location, overall service
no A/C in the room
This is an amazing hotel. The spa is absolutely heavenly and there are tons of different saunas to choose from. It is 100% percent worth it to get a room with Mountain View. The view was unlike anything else. The decor is lovely and there are lots of details and amenities that add to the experience.
There were a couple things that were just slightly disappointing considering the price of the stay. The shower in our room was very poorly designed. Water did not drain properly and ended up soaking the entire bathroom floor every time. It was very uncomfortable not being able to take a shower without stepping out into a cold puddle. We had dinner at the main dining room one night and we were very dissatisfied with the food. We ordered pasta and steak. The pasta was bitter and did not have a pleasant flavor. The steak came out incredibly overcooked to the point where we had to send it back. They did give us a better steak the second time. All the food came out at different times and my husband was done with his dinner by the time my main course was coming out. Overall not the best dining experience.
Everything was above average, very professional dining room in the evening and excellent breakfast. Staff bent over backward to accommodate. we will be back!
nothing!!
its location, elegance,uniqueness and tradition
may not be for everyone. have to be willing to respect their way of operating the property from what food gets served with apparativs or what time you can use the spa facility.
Excellent location, very high level of cleanliness, the service was courteous, patient, warm, helpful, we will definitely come to stay again
The dishes dinner at the main restaurant in the hotel were very small and expensive.
the best hotel I’ve ever been to .. amazing views, kind and helpful stuff , good choice for winter trip
The spa had so many saunas but not a single hot tube
