Fantastic small family-run hotel, super friendly and helpful. Breakfast divine!

The location was perfect for a quiet start to go hiking. Views were awesome, in the middle of the nature but also only a 30 minute walk from the nice little village of Cogne where they had many cute stores and restaurants. Loved the private little balcony we had and the views of the glacier. Also wonderful to fall asleep listening to the rapids.

The hallways were a little noisy on occasion.

Clean, quiet and comfortable lodging with friendly hosts in a breathtaking location! Excellently breakfast and beautiful trails right out the door!

Hotel has many rooms with wonderful mountain views, ours was not one of them. We were at the back of the hotel overlooking the carpark. The room was dark. We heard the deliveries and their drivers arrive early in the morning. We asked the receptionist for a transfer but were told that no other rooms were available.

Cons Main room light flashes My sink, shower, and bidet drain couldn't keep up The shower spray wand head kept returning to a position that wasn't useful Shower water temperature would jump from warm to burning hot to cold in a matter of seconds Room certainly isn't 'noise proof' as the ad mentions No room adjustable climate control, it was kept colder than I would have preferred. The front desk isn't always staffed Local restaurants were closed, (despite Google saying otherwise) or already at capacity at 7:30pm in mid-September. You can drive back through Cogne for more options, but parking is limited there.

Nice location close to trails , private parking good breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean , comfortable and stylish. Breakfast was great and satisfying. Overall great value for money and we highly recommend.

What a wonderful hotel: amazing staff, kind, helpful and proactive. The location is wonderful and rooms have everything you need. Breakfast was perfect as well.

Breakfast good

We had booked 4 rooms for 8 people but only 3 were available. A married couple had to share a room with two single ladies. Not ideal.

Dark and gloomy hotelroom (north facing) less than a sq meter of daylight. chilly bathroom and no heating. No hot shower water on several occasions. Old fashioned blankets. No restaurant

All, frankly, except my interaction with the owner, I believe her name was Kristina.is

When I decided that I didn't think the hotel was a good value for the money, compared to other hotels in town (I had stayed at several) I asked the front desk person, turned out to be Kristina's sister, if I could leave a day early and get a refund for the night I would not be staying. She said that that was up to Booking.com's rules and she would look into it. She found out after some research that no, if I left early I could not get a partial refund. SHE then asked ME why I wanted to leave the hotel early, and since she asked, I gave her an honest answer, that I though that her hotel, though not a bad hotel, wasn't a good value for the money. Her sister, Kristina, the owner, was nearby and overheard this and became quite angered. She told me I had "no right to say her hotel was not a good value for the money" (Sorry, if I'm the customer, it's my money, and I have a good basis for comparison, that is, other hotels in town, it is absolutely my right to make such a judgment.) She didn't see it that way, and we got into quite a heated argument. As a hotel owner, her customer service skills (people skills) appeared to me to be shockingly poor, as was her capacity for self-control. By the way, if this is Booking.com I'm talking to now, she tried to put the blame on YOU, saying that though they don't tell the customer, Booking.com does not offer single rooms, and as a single traveler, the least expensive room Booking.com will offer you is a double room, roughly double the price of a single room. I don't know whether or not this is true, or if she was just doing CYA.

Rooms are nice and clean.Wifi was good and free. Breakfast is good ! Location is good , perfect for hiking or biking. The owner , Cristina is very, very helpful and friendly, she really makes the difference. We lost the hotel keys during a hiking and she helped to find it. Definitely a place to stay and enjoy the peaceful valley.

Due covid authorities restrictions, the guests can't access the buffet on the breakfast. It's on display , however the staff must serve the guests. I didn't know the procedure. I went to serve myself and the " gentleman " staff from the hotel yelled at me, embarrassing me in front other guests.He could just politely explain me the procedures. I would follow it.

Very good organisation and safety in COVID times. Good breakfast, friendly staff, big parking area, excellent location for access to Gran Paradiso

The room was a bit cool, no heating while nights were fresh

We had a wonderful stay at Green Hotel Herbetet! The family running the hotel goes above and beyond to cater to their guests requests and make the stay all that more enjoyable.

The rooms were comfortable and recently renovated. Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom. It was solved by constantly running the fan.

- the location: lots of hiking trails start right "next door" - polite staff - offered helpful info about local restaurants - the room: on the big side, squeaky clean, large bathroom - the bar / relax area - the view from the room - fair price / quality ratio (for the peak season)

- breakfast buffet was awkwardly organised (b/c of covid): no self-service - the staff were serving you rather minuscule portions (yes, we're hungry in the morning!) - no dinner service - our room was a bit on the chilly side at night (temperatures dropped significantly while we were there)

Perfect. If i have to say something, it would be noce to have a water heater and some glasses/cups

The room was comfotable and large. The possibility to have a cappuccino and brioche at the bar. Walking distance to nearby restaurants and nice walks.

The view is magnificent. All looks like a wallpaper from Windows but it's better because it's real.
