Hotel Medici

Beautiful old hotel located only 3 blocks from the Liberty ferry Port, which services the Aeolian Islands. Staff were responsive, friendly and helpful. Very clean hotel with many charming "old world" features.

Hotel Medici is located on a pedestrian walkway with no direct access via road. After unloading luggage, cars are housed off site, in a garage directly behind the hotel, or you must find street parking.

Hotel Medici located one block from the sea-walk and 10" walk from fast or slow boat station for the islands. Lovely little church across the street. Very quiet and clean street. Mrs. Cinzia and her son Antonio are the best. Always available to help with a smile..Highly recommended family run hotel. The room was spotless. Breakfast was satisfying and varied. Make sure you call in advance to arrange a time for your arrival. On a side note...we found this very great place to have your evening meals....It is a small family run grocery store...they will cook whatever meals you want...very tasty meats...and pasta dishes as well.....we had a nice meat dinner with salad and soda drinks for only 17 euros total for the both of Appetito....You are welcome.

Good location for the port of Milazzo, and in the city centre. The room was very clean and nice, and the breakfast offered a big variety.

The staff was friendly but inattentive.Arriving in the late afternoon, we had to wait for a long time and then to call the receptionist on the phone so he would eventually arrive. He informed us about music in the street at night. In fact it was a Saturday night club close to the hotel and the bass made the building shake until 4 am.

Nice location in the old town. Centrally located and close to the port.

It’s dated, worn, needs a lot of love. The breakfast was really poor. No fridge in the room either.

Friendly welcome to a pleasant hotel, within easy walking distance of the harbour and local facilities. Despite the central location, we didn't hear the street from our room and had a good night's sleep. We only stayed one night, but I would have been happy to stay here longer. The breakfast was lovely, with fresh fruit, cakes, pastries, and so on, and so on.

In my opinion, to have given 10 out of 10 for everything a little touching-up of the place would be needed. The communal areas are very fine but our room could do with a little bit of attention. Maybe it's end of season so the chance will come.

The room was gorgeous, lots of windows, bright and airy with a view of the water, lovely big bed & a hot tub. Great central location also, 5 min walk from the port.

Perfect location, right in the middle of the Milazzo Centre. The room was a bit oldish but very comfy and great bathroom.My favourite was the breakfast: delicious and massive buffet!

Right in the center of everything I wanted. Breakfast was very good. My room was clean and met all of my needs.

Antonio at the front desk was extremely helpful finding another room after the first one's mini bar didn't work. He also kindly put my tiny gel packs I need for my medicine in the kitchen freezer. The breakfast the first morning was exceptional with the young barista busy and engaged at all times. She made sure to keep all the food trays full and everything looked very appealing. The location a block from the water and close to lots of restaurants was perfect.

Unfortunately, breakfast on the second morning was altogether different with an older barista totally occupied with her phone the entire time and not noticing or bothering to clear dirty dishes from empty tables and refill food. Surprisingly, she said that there were no more rolls even at 8:30. One of the apples was badly bruised and should never have been put out for guests. There was no butter. I found both rooms small and gloomy. My husband slept in late and perhaps that was why the room was never cleaned. Free street parking is available two or three minutes away so you can avoid paying for garage parking! The hotel brochure talked about 24/7 service at the front desk but we only saw a staff member once on entering, never again. Likewise, no newspapers as advertised.

Good location close to all amenities, beach and harbor. Staff was helpful.

The single room on the first floor has very little natural light, as the window overlooks the wall in front. At night, there is light pollution from the two emergency exit bright light. The room was very noisy: from 6h45 there is noise in the corridor from the restaurant, and with the window open we can hear everyone having a shower in other rooms as well as a continuous aircon fan. The mattress is old and uncomfortable, and the bathroom doesn't have a door. Not worth the price even with the discount.

Great location in the centre of the town, close to the ferry terminal, close to garage parking (paid), comfortable room, decent breakfast.

Very old and possibly the slowest elevator in the world. Poor quality of breakfast coffee, especially for Sicilian standards.
