The Originals City, Hôtel Rennes Sud

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, it felt just like home. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time here — the room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better — it’s perfect for shopping and has easy access to public transport, which made getting around so convenient. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We’ll definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

Looks a bit rundown from the outside but the room was lovely and the bathroom too. Coffee machine, plenty of wardrobe space, comfortable bed and all that you need for a good nights sleep.

Room was on the ground floor but the people in the room above were very noisy.

Car parking was secure. Easy access from the main routes. Breakfast was ok and reception was clean and tidy. Reception staff were pleasant.

Room we had was tired and small but ok for a one night stay and to sleep before moving on. General look of the building outside was utility.

Clean and well-equipped room, green and quiet area, free parking.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was clean and a good size.

No tea making facilities in the room only coffee available which we do not drink

This hotel was clean and is acceptable for a very short stay if you are just passing by (a bit like a motel). It is not in Rennes, but actually in Chantepie, to the south, and the area/surroundings are calm but not that interesting.

The building needs some renovation and the location is not very interesting. Although they write "Rennes Sud" in their name, the hotel is actually in Chantepie, to to the south of the city.

The room was ingrained with with smoke the pillows had stains on them which resembled a good night out!! The room while clean just felt dirty and nothing like the photos. ok for a one night stay off everywhere else is expensive but not worth the money paid

The greeting at Reception was excellent. The room was good and well decorated, but a few easily remedy issues let it down.

As the door to the room opens it reveals the electricity junction box in all its glory sitting above the wardrobe area. A simple piece of plasterboard would easily remedy this ugly spot which spoils the room. The built-in desk area had trim missing and exposed chipboard that clothes kept catching on. The room above must have had felt pads missing from the chair legs which someone constantly dragged across the floor from 7.00 til 9.00am. Good coffee machine but only two capsules!! Small details that marred our enjoyment and lack of coffee seemed 'penny-pinching' which was a shame. Would we stay again - probably not as plenty of other hotels in area.

Near to restaurants, Breakfast was excellent and multicultural.

After reading the other reviews I didn’t expect to dislike this hotel as much as I did. The front of the hotel is ok however the back of the hotel is disgusting with trash and even laundry hung on the bushes. Trash along the back and sides. Staff oddly encouraged us to park in the front, we found out why is to not see the mess.

The room was ok other than as described.

Strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room, including in curtains, etc: someone had been smoking a lot inside the room or immediately outside, where there was a pot full of cigarette butts.
