ibis budget Rennes Chantepie - Hotel renove

Clean rooms, despite being budget beds made daily. The breakfast was great.

Couldn’t really use the chair as the room was so small.Reception wasn’t manned in the evenings we had no one to talk to. Supposedly a no smoking hotel but our neighbours were smoking and it carried through to us . This affected our enjoyment of the stay but wasn’t an issue on the 3rd night when they had gone. But hotel itself was fine. No where within walking distance to eat was open. It was French holiday season.

Very clean rooms with clean beds and good bed linen. Good value for money.

Location was further away than expected from the metro stop. We had hope to walk to the metro stop. We could not. Also the bus service near the hotel was hard to navigate.

The cleanless, some hairs on the main bed, a lot of dirty dust on the top bunk, some rust between the room and the bathroom.The breakfast was not ready, the bread and the croissant was not cooked.

The shower head was broken but it was fixed immediately by a technician who had to come out.

Inspection of the room was at fault I didn't touch the shower head and broke in the hold.

Receptionist spoke English. Free parking. Microwave available. Everything clean. €45 for one night.

Bad

Personnel is not kind. Far from city center. There arent supermarkets around. Bus stop is not near. At least 10 min walking distance and this distance is not convenient at night. I find the hotel isolated. Wifi works not good. I use my own internet.

the phonics isolation is poor but people were quiet this night and according to the price. no private parking area.

There was fungus in the bathroom. The showerdrain flooded.The wifi didn't work.

Very conveinent and easy to find. A lot of parking. Checked in on the computer in lobby, got my ticket and went to bed. All good.

Convenient location for an overnight stay on our journey to Roscoff. It was as expected for a budget hotel. The room was small, but had all we needed for our stay.The breakfast was plentiful and there was plenty of choices.Chantepie town centre was close by and it was easy to find a nice restaurant.

The description of the double room I booked was ambiguous as it said ‘all units on ground floor’ - which I assumed ours would be- but also ‘ upper floors accessed by stairs’, which I thought applied to the other types of rooms. We had a room on the first floor, which we coped with, but people less able than us need to ensure they state their preference for ground floor when booking, because the receptionist, though helpful, was unable to give us a groundfloor room.
