very poor breakfast - basic and no quality, old style accommodations

The pool was good and clean. The breakfast was ok. The room was ok. Most of the people were nice.

The breakfast could have a little more variety.

The mattress was excruciatingly soft...but that's just me. And I was hoping for scrambled eggs at breakfast.

Breakfast was decent

Bedroom was minimalist of furniture but my worse experience was the FREEZING temperature. When we arrived in our room it must have been all of 14 degrees C. The very elderly receptionist turned on a wall unit but two hours later the temperature had not changed. I went back to the reception and asked for a heater. I was told to wait while he went to ask his wife if the heater still worked. The electric heater did work and “eventually” the temperature was livable.I definitely do not recommend this hotel….it is very old and uncomfortable.

Good size. Rooms were clean. Friendly staff. Spare blankets and cushions available. Breakfast included.

We were there 2 nights in January, rooms were cold and somewhat humid. Even the bed linnen was humid, and not very comfortable until body heat improved that. Airco used for heating took an entire night to heat from 16 to 18 deg. C. Wifi not usable in our rooms, not possible to get a connection. Breakfast not very good, not to our taste.

We loved this tranquil hotel just a ten minute walk or a two minute drive from the city center. The pool is excellent and there are lambs and goats in the backyard. The couple who own the hotel are very nice. Highly recommend.

The owners saved me some time by providing ice, which I needed to buy for the next day. This way, I did not need to go to the supermarket again.

There was a wedding in town and the guests which arrived previously took all the remote controls for the gate. I wanted to go out for dinner and the gate was closed, no one was at the reception and they did not come to answer the phone when I called. Luckily, I had some food with me.

Amazing staff, nice pool and spa (only jacuzzi working), and a very inspiring rafeiro alentejano (dog). Rooms were good despite in need of some minor maintenance.

Bed matresses were thick and too soft, leading to uncomfortable positions and little rest.Gate to the property mostly closed (which is good), but signalling a vehicle presence to the reception requires stepping out of the car and ringing a bell on the wall. Twice I had no answer and had to phone the hotel to signal my presence

the owners were great and very helpful, gave secure parking in a locked garage for my motorcycle

the bathroom had a terrible odor, the must have drain issues I’m guessing.
