Location and staff

Bathrooms very small. Need only to have showers and no bath.

Good location, hotel is old, rooms with wooden seating, bathroom ok, toilet bit outdated. Over all rooms are ready for a make over. Breakfast is absolute fabulous. Also outside seating. Will stay there again even it¿s a bit old.

The hotel is nicely located with a 10 minute drive to the old city center. The staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean. It was great to be able to park your car in front of your room and know that you have security camera surveillance. The bed was comfortable, the internet was good and there were no issues. We will definitely return on our next trip to Angouleme. Highly recommend.

Easy to reach.Big parking. Small kitchens with a fridge in some rooms. Comfortable bed

Location was noisy.Superior room is very small. It is difficult to find a spot to leave the luggage.The kitchen sponge was already used. That’s not hygienic at all.

A very pleasant surprise, a little different to the normal hotels we have stayed at in a good way, Breakfast very good, restaurant a few steps away, the eatery's at the commercial centre were not worth the visit. Would definitely stay again.

Only a standard double bed. This is the second time we have stayed here. The first time we had a room with a larger bed which was very good, so disappointed when not the same size on our return.

Receptionist was friendly, kind and particularly helpful. Spoke good English to help us. Hotel is next to a good restaurant.

Easy to get to from the motorway. All the rooms have direct access to the garden which was lovely for our dog as we played ball out there. Every room has its own parking space right by the room which is great. There is a lovely restaurant next door with several set menus ranging from 16-44€. We had the 25€ set menu of 4 courses which was really good and it was also dog friendly. We also drove to the supermarket which was only about 5 minutes away. Rooms were nice and clean and there was the BBC news channel in English on the TV . Overall a good place to stay and we would do so again.

Breakfast was the most expensive we came accros at €12.50 but there was a good choice. There was also the ability to make freshly squeezed orange juice

The room was very nice has like a balcony overlooking a garden the day was sunny and was quiet please , have a sofa as well and the room was very well supplied bed very comfy and shower was very strong water wonderful.

When i close the balcony door i saw was bugs coming inside the room we kill a few but keep coming inside because the balcony room didn't seal properly.

Our room, nr 46, was definitely affected by mould and damp. We could feel the smell as soon as we entered the room. We tried to change room but the (very friendly) staff member said she could not smell any mould and we could not change room. This was yesterday. Today when we are moving on our clothes and everything that was in the room still smells of mould. If you are sensitive to mould don't book this room. Feel sorry for the staff, it's not their fault but this is a real problem that need to be delt with.

Air conditioning, bed & pillows were very comfortable, location was good & a good selection for breakfast too.

Bathroom was a bit outdated. Didn’t like the shower curtain, was very annoying.

Functional overnight stop with plenty of parking and the independent restaurant adjacent to the hotel offers good value dinner options

The bathrooms in the older part of the building need some updating; they can smell.

Nice budget hotel clean and comfortable. Spacious and comfortable rooms.

We didn’t rate the restaurant next to the hotel as it was not very friendly and was expensive for what you received. Get in your car and drive down the road to find a restaurant. Not the hotel’s fault as they don’t own or run the restaurant.

Very comfortable motel on our way back from Portugal to UK. Exceptionally good breakfast.

Had asked if the restaurant was open fir dinner and confirmed us was. But on arrival it was clised

Bedroom was very nice and clean.Outlook on to a garden area

The outside of the hotel looked very tired and needs to be painted. It did put me off when I arrived….but the inside made up for the initial disappointment
