Wonderful hotel. Close to town , an easy walk. Fantastic staff. Very helpful and efficient. Gorgeous pool. And a lovely breakfast. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

Very pleased with our 3-night stay in mid-August. Very cute small property. Staff was efficient, responsive, very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Self-serve breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of options. Enjoyed the lovely pool. When booking, was concerned about distance/elevation of hotel from town center; walking into town was easy…walking back uphill after a long day was not so much, but not too big an issue (we’re active 60-year-olds).

Although pool was very nice, food and beverage service there would have made it wonderful. Instead, it required walking down to lobby to place order or order before you head to pool. We would have loved to stayed longer at the pool, constantly ordering more cocktails and food, but since it was such an imposition, we didn’t.Also, the shower curtain was positioned inside much too closely, causing it to stick to your wet body as you’re trying to bathe. I had to keep my back up against the wall to keep it off me, making bathing difficult. Needs one of those curved curtain rods.

The pool, the location and ease of access to the city center, comfortable bed, private parking, and nice balcony. They also provided towels that can be taken to the beach. We also enjoyed that the toilet was in a separate room.

Small things - the shower needs a curtain. It’s impossible not to get the bathroom floor wet. Privacy- the room windows faced guests while in the pool and so we had to draw the curtains in order to keep from giving the guests a show they didn’t pay for. Bathroom needs a fan/ extractor vent. The staff at the hotel are super friendly. We didn't like the room that was originally assigned to us and we got moved to a different room the next day.Close to the town centre and easy to reach with car & public transport.

The pool was closed when we were there and we'd love to come back to see it being open.The breakfast is a bit limited and can do with a few upgrades.

The staff. Wow! They are incredibly helpful. We asked for restaurant recommendations and got them, used them and were so impressed.

The clean smell thoughout the hotel including stairwell, elevator, lobby, public toilet and our room.

Great location just a short walk from the port area but in a very quiet area. Bed was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was good. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly. Our standard room was small but well laid out and the small patio was an extra bonus. We would absolutely stay again.

The room was fine. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good.

The swimming pool was closed and we were not informed of this in advance of our arrival. Also, the hotel was much further from the town than we expected.

this is our second stay, it's a wonderful setting with comfortable and spacious rooms, the pool is fabulous, and the location is superb. Also offered a lovely breakfast buffet

Very dated decor/layout. Corridors had the odour of whatever cleaning agents the NHS used in the 90s.

Fantastic location -walking distance of harbour,shops and restaurants. A3star hotel with a fabulous room and balcony. Didn’t sample the pool but really impressed with the facilities. Good size room and bathroom. Very helpful staff. Bonus of on-site free parking. Would highly recommend.

Great location, Room was clean and comfortable, we enjoyed the balcony to relax at the end of the day. Pool was a very nice area to relax.

We missed a kettle to boil water to make a cup of tea and an iron and ironing board.

Wifi not great.

We enjoyed everything about this hotel! It was simply perfect all round. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Fantastic view of the sea from our balcony and the room was immaculate (same for rest of hotel) and cleaned daily. We all loved the pool which was a great place to relax after a day out. Breakfast was good too - lots of choice and plentiful. The Royal Cottage was very tranquil and we look forward to staying there again.

good location and family room.

Very noisy. We heard a lot of noise coming from the other rooms the first night. The second night, we couldn't sleep with a lot of noise around of the hotel. (14 Juillet party)

We arrived early to avoid traffic and were able to park and use the pool from 1pm onward. Checkin is late, comparatively, at 4pm.

Multiple reminders to return the pool towels. Charged for coffee (we didn't order breakfast) prior to departure at 7am.
