    Pros +

    • Location & small balcony with view
    • We didn't have breakfast but the breakfast room looked nice, plenty of local hotels where we could sit outside instead. The location and price were the main reasons for booking this hotel as it is very close to the marina and all the restaurants and shops, near to where the tourist train (10Euros) and trip to the Calanques (25Euros) leave from. The reception staff were excellent and the room attendant helped with our luggage. A key was provided for access after an evening out.
    • Great location, very close to centre of town/port. Hotel parking is available on request within 5 minutes of the hotel and is a great facility given how busy the car parking situation is during peak season in Cassis. For 2 stars we were very impressed with the hotel and were given a choice of room as we had a baby with us, and the hotel wanted us to choose our own room that suited our needs. Very impressed with that. Very pleasant experience for what is a budget friendly hotel in an expensive area!

    Cons -

    • Very small room with not enough space to get in & out of bed
    • We were on the third floor and had over 40 stairs to climb, some as a spiral staircase, and one part of the handrails had come off the wall. There was no lift so would not recommend it to older people unless fit!The bathroom was basic, with a small shower having a curtain and the loo was squeezed between the shower and the wall, could be quite difficult for a larger person. There was also a rusty old loo brush in a metal holder. Towels were thin but adequate, washbasin was very modern but drained too slowly.
    • Access is a bit difficult when roads are closed for the market, or roads are closed to alleviate parking/traffic issues during peak season & busy times. We parked out of town initially, but turns out we could have told the police we wanted access to the hotel and they would have let us through. Instead we waited until the evening to drive down into town. Wasn't an issue in the end, and is beyond the control of the hotel.

    Location was unbeatable!!! Friendly staff.

Rooms are small but we already knew that and cleaning can be better

The property was in a great location, right in the center of the village and close to the beach, restaurants, and port. The hotel had a parking spot to use temporarily while unloading luggage. The staff were very kind and accommodating.

I had not identified this property as a low budget, cheap motel, so I was quite surprised to find the various problems with it. I chose it because of the location. I’ve been in Cassis before and didn’t think a place as rundown as this could exist there. First, there is no elevator and no one to help with bags, so we had to carry our luggage up four flights of narrow stairs. The rooms we rented (2) were exceptionally small. You can barely walk around the bed. It’s minimally furnished with the cheapest, most awful furniture you can imagine. The biggest problem was the bathroom. I’ve included a photo of the disgusting shower tiles. Looks like they have never been cleaned. The toilet seat didn’t even fit the toilet, so even when my child sat on it, it sounded like it was cracking. The towels were stained and non-absorbent. Just dollar store towels. The walls are thin, so we were awakened by a crowd of drunk people coming through at 4 am. Don’t stay here. We never will again. It was the worse stay we’ve experienced in all of France and we visit multiple times per year and stay in all sorts of places.

    Location

Very dirty, staff didn’t clean our room on the 2nd day and we had to ask three times for them to clean it. When the receptionist came up to help she took the wet, dirty towels out of the shower and threw them on the ground in front of us and kicked them out the door and down the hallway.. Sheets weren’t clean when we arrived, they didn’t change our sheets just “made” the bed, although that’s even a stretch as sheets were wrinkled and the duvet wasn’t on properly. Overall a very poor experience.

I loved it. As a solo traveller I felt safe. Staff were friendly. The room was light and bright and I had a wonderful view from the window.

A fantastic hotel in a perfect location right by the port of Cassis. Very clean, quiet, and peaceful—ideal for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend it!

    location

Sent request re small dog but no response so I called and they said okay. but on leaving receptionist rather cross said no dogs.

It was very close to the centre. Free indoor parking is offered, albeit you have to walk about 5 minutes to your car. Staff were friendly, nice and helpful

The room photos on this site and what the room really looks like are two different pictures!

    7MichellePosted on: 12-2-2024

Easy walk to the port and all the restaurants etc.

The room itself was very small. The only real problem with this hotel was that the locals close the roads leading into the centre of town including those that lead to this hotel making it very difficult for non locals to park nearby.

amazing location right in the centre of town, really safe. the Staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and new and fresh.

the walls were extremely thin! luckily i didnt have noisy neighbours, but if you did a good pair of headphones would be needed!

Really central location. Friendly staff, clean room

Car parking and luggage unloading was not an easy option (400m away) so we used a nearby public car park instead

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great, very central. Good value for money.

The room was quite small, only just enough room to walk around the beds.

    5JamesPosted on: 10-14-2024

Welcoming reception staff. Good location just off the front.

One would expect a shower curtain to accompany the shower curtain hooks; the lack of curtain necessitated sitting in the shower tray to reduce the extent of flooding. Walls very thin so internal noise could be an issue.

    6SarahPosted on: 10-13-2024

    Excellent location. Very clean room

Room with balcony- external noise from road a major downside as well as internal waterpipes quite noisy. Small room.

    7MichaelaPosted on: 10-9-2024

Lovely, clean hotel, perfect location. Soap and shower gel smelt amazing. Great WiFi.

Balcony door didn't shut properly, really noisy outside of an evening. Not a proper bathroom door, so only go with someone your comfortable with.

    8JemaimahPosted on: 10-9-2024

Location is amazing! So close to harbour area. Room clean and comfy and fresh towels daily and lovely good quality soap and shower gel. Shower was very good and very hot.

Room did have some background noise from heating or water but nothing unbearable

    1TaylerPosted on: 10-6-2024

    Bed was comfy. Good location.

When I checked in receptionist was pretty rude and unwelcoming. Biggest complaint is a housekeeper walking into my room at 9:30 am without knocking or anything. Such a violation. After I left my room that day I kept the do not come in sign on my door. An hour after I came back to the room someone had came in. I don’t understand the point of the door not disturb or come in sign that says to hang on the door handle if nobody listens to it? Super weird and just a volation of privacy. Shower has no curtain or door what so ever so when you shower the entire bathroom floor and everything in it gets absolutely soaking wet it’s really dangerous as it’s really slippery. The shower temperature also switches from burning hot to the point where you have to step out constantly because it’s burning you to freezing cold where it’s uncomfortable. Towels were pretty dirty I didn’t use them ended up using my own.Stairs are terrible and a safety hazard to get to rooms. They will make you dizzy trying to get up the stairs.Toilet seat was broken making you almost fall into the toilet.
