    Pros +

    • Was dirty! Manager lady when we arrived was a total witch! When we asked about a table for dinner she was very rude
    • Location good for us. It was a one night stay before returning UK next morning. As we are traveling with dog it was great to have a walk and lake at the hotel. Was dog friendly. Breakfast was fine.
    • The lake is nice to work around. The restaurant is decent for dinner. Breakfast was okay.

    Cons -

    • Rooms clean but basic and noise from other rooms and corridor. Although they make a big point of the restaurant being open every day, the weekend menu is more limited . We found the food quality at dinner not to be very good.
    • Some military people staying in the same building, a bit weird. The design of some spaces is often impractical and creates the feeling that they wanted it to look nice without thinking about it being convenient and pleasant. The bathroom needs deep cleaning, there were black spots between the tiles. Otherwise, quite clean.
    • Would have liked warm crepes but they were cold

Location is perfect to cross the channel.

Would be nice to have not only pre packed cheese and there were no fresh vegetables.

It is situated in beautiful surroundings which is great for dog walking off lead. The staff is relaxed and friendly and extremely welcoming of dogs.

Lovely hotel on the inside, shame the weather wasn't nice to sit outside. Helpful and friendly staff.

the bed mattress was very thin and hard. As a result i've hurt my back. The menu choices were a limited for dinner.

Good selection for breakfast.Bed was very comfy

    Pillows- they were lumpy.

Good location en-route to Holland; very dog-friendly, with plenty of green space outside, and the bonus of a lake, which you can walk around and meet the neighbourhood dogs. Loved the restaurant, and staff exceptionally friendly and attentive.

Quite a small room for a couple and our dog.

Nice to walk around the lake..quiet..short drive to ferry terminal.

Presented with incorrect bill for meal & drinks for previous night. Took several attempts to get to correct amount, staff were apologetic .

The hotel is located close to the ferry as it’s about 20 mins away. It over looks a lake and it’s nice in the morning to take a walk, see the wildlife and enjoy the air. The bed was so comfy however it was slightly warm but we asked for a fan for a room and it just made it better. Lovely staff.

Breakfast was ok, but inconsistent. First morning we had sausages and bacon but the scrambled egg was cold. I did ask for it to be heated and it was. There were many sweet things there for breakfast but my wife brought her own gluten free bread which was good she did. But they fix it.

Perfect location for the ferry port. The restaurant was too class. Plenty parking spaces available. Very clean and comfortable room

There was no air con so it was a bit too warm. Couldn't leave window open all night because we had a ground floor room

    8ViviennPosted on: 9-5-2024

We had a huge bed. The hotel is on a lake and if you want a lake view, you must book a double room not twin. The food was reasonably priced and very good, too.

Nowadays most hotels seem to only supply you with a soap dispenser, no soap. If you have arthritis in your hands, I don’t know how you cope unless you bring your own.

    10BrianPosted on: 9-3-2024

This is the first time that we have stayed in this hotel, and we were very surprised, the location is great. by the side of the lake, the staff were very helpful, the meals were great and the free parking was a bonus.

Comfy bedConvenient locationEasy parkingReception staff very professional and polite.Reception area very welcoming.

Extremely overpricedBathroom was a health and safety risk. Slippy bath with no anti slip liner. Taps were loose. Insufficient shower door/glass pane meant water splashed everywhere making floor of bathroom very sloppy.Previous occupants must have had the same problem as bathroom door was rotting at the bottom.Bedside light hanging out of it’s fixing and didn’t work.No hand towel supplied in bathroom.Minimal hot drink facilities provided. No AC.Building itself very dated and tired, possibly why exterior photos are not provided.Due to price of room was shocked breakfast was not included.Hugely over inflated cost for the room.

Very close to the ferry terminal

Very poor wifiCoffee machine in the room but no instructions how to use it.

    9UlrikePosted on: 8-22-2024

Check in (late) was easy and we could order some drinks at the bar. The room was great, windows could be opened (I need fresh air) and the bathroom was well thought through and spacious.

    7Kerri-annPosted on: 8-22-2024

Convenient for an overnight stop before crossing the Channel.

The breakfast was quite average and coffee was not good! OK for one night but wouldn't stay any longer.
