Private room, nice pool, GREAT shower!

This was my second time staying here for the Badlands finish. The hotel is in a perfect location right near the restaurants and parking and is just brilliant for a few nights stay. Chose to stay here again due to the great stay we had last year and the location to the finish line for the race.

The corridor did tend to smell a bit of cigarette smoke but this didn’t go into the room so wasn’t a huge deal.

Loved the place - the location was right in the center of the village. The owners were also kind and welcoming. The bed was comfortable, the swimming pool was nice (and bigger than I expected, about 10 meters long and reached depth of 2m). I had a lovely stay honestly can't complain.

The only downaide really is that there is no AC, so it can get a little hot in the summer. But I slept fine despite this (I visited in July).

Liked the Swimming pool (although still a bit chilly in early June). Liked the Location. The Rooms were ok, had everything you need. Great views. Our friends managed to get a room in the Hotel Real de Poqueira which was more expensive but fab rooms, fab breakfast & you can use Hostal Rural Poqueira's swimming pool. Book there if you get chance! (It's the sister hotel).

Breakfast was very plain & not very sustaining, didn't start until 8am & the minibus up the mountain leaves at 8:30am (the driver actually said if we could get there by 8:15am ~ 8:20am that would be best), so it was a very rushed affair.

Perfect location. Huge pool with stunning mountain views. Room very spacious and comfortable. Excellent morning coffee. Thumbs up all round!

A fan in the bedroom would be helpful during the summer months.

the hotel is old but respectable. There is a heating radiator in the room, and in the bathroom too, which is good in cold weather.

The location was great. The room was basic but had everything you needed, and the room was cleaned everyday which was great! The room was also a decent size. The pool was great and much needed to get away from the heat.

The beds weren't the most comfortable, but I slept well each night anyway. No air-con but thankfully the room wasn't too hot anyway.

Sleep was impossible in the August heat. No ceiling fan meant window had to be open and the fiesta music went on all night.The furniture and fittings have seen better days. Towels were badly worn. Banister on staircase was rickety and felt unsafe.

Location was amazing, close to the main parking and with lots of options for dinner and breakfast. Lovely view and the pool was a massive bonus. Overall amazing value for money.

The bathroom was clean but needs an upgrade!

Capileira is a wonderful village and Hostal Poqueira is right at the center of the village, few seconds away from the bus stop, the staff is super kind and really present if you miss anything. Apparently the pool is amazing but I didn't had the opportunity to experience it since we off season. The room are spacious as well as the bathroom and everything was super clean... Thanks a lot

I forgot to tell the staff before leaving, i hope you'll read it here, there is a plug that doesn't work well right above the bed (room 5). There is no other electrical plug in the main room (or at least i didn't found any), i used the one from the bathroom to charge my phone. No problem for me.

The Hostel is right in the centre of Capileira and adjacent to the bus stop and tourist information centre. I had a slightly sprained ankle and all the staff/family were very kind in using their restaurant facilities to freeze my water bottles to help me treat the injury. A large pool to cool down after hiking or a hot day.

my room had a window to a balcony. Each night around 22:30 2 persons sat there with drinks and music untill late...which disturbed my privacy and my sleep.There was a garden that everybody can use so I don't understand why they sat there
