- The hotel was beautiful, great location, very spacious, amazing view and decor! Very good breakfast. Our room was very spacious, comfortable bed.
Cons -
- Barking dogs at night not so great
- Service wasn't the best but it was ok
- We paid extra booked superior room with sea view, expecting the best view. It turned out that the overgrowth trees blocked the sea view almost completely. The room also smelled sewer like odor which destroyed our stay. We asked if we could switch room but we were told no room left.

Front desk guy upon check in was super helpful. Breakfast was good. Easy access to path along the beach. Within few minutes drive from many restaurants. Awesome views. Funny pet pheasant.
Didn’t realize I had to request non smoking room. First room was smoky but we luckily got another room. Lots of parking but lots of cars too. Many older guests.
The buffet was outstanding. The room with a view of the sea was wonderful. The pool was refreshing and crystal clear. Very comfortable bed. The cabana served reasonably priced drinks (I just wish they knew how to make a Martini). The music entertainment was enjoyable. The beaches are very close by. You could not ask for more.
Although the parking was free, the spaces were limited and only because it seemed the hotel is popular. I think if they had a valet service, I would rate the hotel a 10.
We had a wonderful stay at Cap Roig Hotel. The view is absolutely amazing – one of the highlights of our trip. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide and rich selection that kept us satisfied for the day. Overall, a fantastic experience and we’d be happy to return!
Love the style of the hotel, very well decorated… clean bathrooms and very good breakfast.
Some mold in the bathroom, very basic room not as well decorated as the other hotel itself. No kettle or coffee machine in the room. No arm chair in the room. It was really really basic.
The view from the balcony was lovely. It is an incredible setting with the cliffs and beach. Very charming. Hotel has the old world charm with modern amenities. Breakfast was very very good & even has a peacock that visits the roof next to the balcony overlooking the ocean.
1- The parking was a disaster and caused incredible distress. We needed to drive around and finally one of registered and the other drove and circled until we found a spot. Not a good way to start a vacation. They need to clear an area for unloading and direct traffic when the lot is overfilled. Other guest were very very rude and parking and driving illegally. Most exasperating It should be addressed as we chose not to leave the establishment because we wouldn’t have another parking place. 2- The rooms are nice & the views are lovely but our bathroom was poorly designed so we wouldn’t bump into corners when trying to enter or exit. 3- we are vegetarian so the buffet meals weren’t for us. The bar restaurant was always closed. Difficult to find much to eat. But there is a nice grocery with bakery near by.
The natural scenery is very beautiful, and the room is clean
Very good location
The location was amazing. The view of the sea from the balcony was breathtaking, and the elevator going down to the beach level was very convenient. The nearby beaches were all beautiful and varied. The pool was very clean and relaxing. The breakfast was a classic hotel breakfast buffet, but it was more than decent. The food at the pool bar and the dinner buffet were both pretty good and varied. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Perhaps it's just a matter of preference, but the mattress gave both of us a pretty bad night sleep and we woke up pretty stiff. And the bedsheets were awful, specifically the duvet cover, as it wasn't a true duvet cover that enclosed the duvet but it was just two loose sheets that sandwiched the duvet. This made it very unstable and it would often fall from the duvet and leave it exposed. There was also a lack of amenities in the room for a 4 star hotel. There was no clothes iron and ironing board, not a simple coffee/tea machine (it would've been amazing to have a cup of coffee on the wonderful balcony with the sea view instead of having to go all the way to the breakfast buffet to get one), no water refills (just two small bottles when we arrived, then none), there was also just a single electric plug in the whole room, right above the middle of the bed. There was 0 sound insulation, we could hear people talking in neighboring rooms.
The location and the views are great.
The design is very, very dated and all over the place. Needs a major refresh. Also the room smelled TERRIBLE from air conditioning that had not been cleaned in years. The room reeked of mildew. The food at breakfast and dinner is quite bad.
The room was large, sea view perfect. Really enjoyed both the stay and breakfast / lunch / dinners.Pro tip for breakfast: if you choose terrace don't leave your food unattended - seagulls are quick and happy to snatch anything.
Wonderful view and location
Parking lot a bit small and quite full all the time.
- Super nice location, sea view rooms are superb- Great choice at breakfast and during buffee lunch and dinner.
- Parking is a bit chaotic due to limited spaces. Disabled parking is the most distant one from the entrance. - Only machine coffee at breakfast, no option to order a real espresso or a cappucino even for a fee.- No finger food, snack availability between lunch and dinner
The view is great
There is a big big problem with the parking. Many facilities like lift stopped working, cockroach was found in one of our rooms. Water is provided only on the first day as complimentary, rest days we struggled for water as their vending machine was also not functioning.
I really loved the views and the friendly, welcoming staff. The hotel itself could use a bit of an upgrade, but it’s comfortable and has a relaxed vibe. If you can, definitely book a room with sea views — it completely transforms the experience. Waking up to the stunning Costa Brava calas makes your stay feel so much more special and peaceful, compared to the standard rooms at the back with no view. The difference is night and day!
There is no WiFi on tv, a little old.
The location. The public spaces are gorgeous.
The front desk staff was not helpful and rude. The rooms were extremely tight and no coffee machine or amenities like iron etc.
We came for a little weekend getaway from Barcelona. Hotel Cap Roig turned out to be an excellent choice! The rooms are updated and comfortable with lovely sea views. The pool area lovely and very comfortable. You step out of the hotel onto the coastal walking path that has dramatic views, narrow pathways and spectacular coves. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and tasty and the staff were very professional and friendly.
We were very happy with everything but there must have been a family with small children above us that started running around and moving balcony furniture at 6:45am! We had a wonderful big bathtub in our triple room. My only suggestion would be a handle bar because the edge is quite wide and stepping out can be dangerous.
Superb location on the coast. Fantastic walks and bays to swim in which are straight from the hotel. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. In spite of being busy, the hotel felt quiet and peaceful.
People were to smoke on the balcony where other guests were eating breakfast.Receptionist was chewing gum during checkin.
Very clean in a great location and very friendly and helpful team
The room was relatively small, but understandable considering it is a big and busy metropolin
