    Pros +

    • Nice quiet hotel right by the beach
    • The location was amazing , right in the square on the beach. The rooms had a small but nice view. The rooms were clean and simple
    • Incredibly clean and comfortable. Everything in the hotel was pristine. Great breakfast each morning. Great location and easy to get to via Uber from the Lagos train station. Rooms are small but nicely appointed. I am so impressed with this new find for future travel.

    Cons -

    • The breakfast room was very warm and uncomfortable for eating. It closed at 1030. It would have been nice for the room to stay open for coffee and water during the day and also to sit and relax as there really wasn’t anywhere to sit in the room except for the bed and one chair
    • The air conditioner didn’t work and it was facing the sun and VERY hot in our room. The safe required 5 Euros a day to use. Never had that ever before. We usually stay in 4* places but took a chance . This wasn’t 3* in my view. No beach towels to use.
    • The room was small, but that's Europe.

Location. Breakfast was good. Milk in the coffee machine horrible. Some kind of powdered milk substance.

Great location. Quiet area compared with larger towns. Beautiful view to magnificent beach. Breakfast was very good and lots of variety.

This is a great location. Could hear the surf at night and walk to anything we needed. It's a beautiful spot.

The room was small, but that's Europe.

The hotel is out of the 70's, it is very clean, the breakfast buffet is excellent and well maintained. Beds were comfortable.

The storeage of clothing and bathroom toiletries is very challenging.

The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was perfect. The room was very clean and close to everything. Parking was easy and free. Great restaurant very close and the beach was right across the plaza.

Smokers out front from the bar.

    Location and breakfast

No storage in bathroom. Beds very uncomfortable. Only one key for room

Location, location, location! Breakfast was decent & with variety.

A/C in the room didn’t work. Bathrooms were in need of refurbishment, & not the cleanest. Beds were not comfortable & linens were old & not comfortable on the beds. Noise outside on the streets, especially motorcycles was annoying, as sliding doors did not create a great sound barrier. Elevator door was a challenge to open.

Budget friendly, clean and established. This is an older building but we'll maintained. It is situated right in the heart of the beach area. The breakfast with fresh fruits, meats, cheese and bread is robust and wonderful. The balcony for relaxing or coffee in room is lovely. We found the price very reasonable. There is a small bar in the hotel that we enjoyed one late evening. I would recommend this to others and stay here again.

    Nothing disappointed.

Hotel location is right on the beach and we had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. Staff is exceptional and very friendly. Valentin in the bar is a gem! He seems to know everything about the area and gave us some helpful tips. We really enjoyed speaking with him! The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, but a bit dated.

Although I was thankful that breakfast was included, we didn't really enjoy the breakfast. After the first morning, we went elsewhere for breakfast. We booked three nights in Salema, but there isn't really alot to do in this town except go to the beach. We ended up driving to Lagos one day, and Sagres the next day because those towns are a bit more lively, only coming back to Salema to sleep (those cities are each only a 20 min drive from Salema). I suggest no more than one night in Salema if your are planning to stay there. Otherwise, skip it and stay in Lagos or Sagres instead.

It was steps from the beach. Walkable to the best restaurants (o Lourenco).

Needs major updates!!! Tiny rooms. Tiny shower. Balcony was nice added feature but has plastic chairs that you put out on you lawn.

Nice hotel right in the town center with easy access to all town restaurants, bars, and grocery. Hotel pretty basic accommodations but also very functional. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed the stay here. Beach was very nice, water temperature was not warm but swimmable, which was good for mid June. Check out the dinosaur footprints in the rock shelf at the end of the beach to the right - pretty cool.

Nothing really. Hotel was a good value beach hotel.

The breakfast was excellent! Fruit was fresh and the coffee was great!

The bathroom could use a little work, but overall room was clean.

    Clean excellent location.

    People slamming doors.

    8JimPosted on: 6-16-2025

While older it is very clean. Do not expect much in the way of amenities but there is a meracado across the way and a small gift shop/homepathic pharmacia next door.
