    Cons -

    • Not English friendly. But you can get by
    • We were there for a wedding. Many people couldn't access their rooms until well beyond check in time which was difficult as people needed to get ready to catch the shuttle for the first event. One couple weren't able to get into their room until well after midnight. The hotel had been very busy the night before and the rooms couldn't be cleaned in time. They need to prioritise cleaning rooms for new arrivals in such situations. Some people had taken very long flights and were desperate to get into their rooms and were left waiting.
    • The standard room is small and the room didn’t have enough light from the windows

From the moment we drove through the gate we could tell our stay was going to be amazing! Staff spoke very good English, they were all super attentive to our needs and the resort and rooms were clean and well taken care of. Breakfast spread was excellent and the variety was outstanding. I do recommend to go before 9am as it tends to get very busy and a little chaotic after that. It was truly an amazing stay for us and super relaxing just as we planned!

The location is immersed in nature and very well integrated with the landscape. Facilities are top class, rooms are renovated with style and taste. Breakfast and dining options are great. Staff are extreme professional and kind. The overall ambiance and atmosphere is unique and memorable, extremely relaxing and enjoyable.Amazing stay, will be back for sure!

Everything was as expected and beyond!

Mangia’s Resort truly exceeded expectations! The staff were not just sweet—they were exceptional, going above and beyond to make every moment special. The resort is incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and truly has everything you could ask for—nothing felt like it was missing. The location is gorgeous, and the food (whether it's breakfast or dinner) was more than delicious!

If I had to mention anything, I’d say the rooms could use a bit more lighting, and the signage around the resort could be improved—it's easy to lose your way on the vast grounds. But overall, this place is a gem, and I’d return in a heartbeat!

We liked how large the resort was. It felt like a city inside and that made it feel very open and not crowded. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The different spaces like restaurants and pools were very well designed. There was always a restaurant open to eat or drink which was really comfortable. The activities available were really nice like a ceramics painting activity with Claudia which we loved. Some of the Staff were super helpful and nice to us like Melissa and Lucia. They also have sports courts to play tennis, paddle or basketball. The restaurants were all really good. The breakfast was very good and had a large variety.

The breakfast was great but not if you went at 10 am because it got too full and you could tell the staff struggled to keep up with the demand for tables and food. Some of the staff were not as helpful as others and because of this we had a negative experience at the Kaigan Sushi Bar. Since the hotel is far from other places, you are obligated to have meals there and it can get quite expensive.

Booked this last minute and were a little worried given the 8 star rating for a 5 star hotel but were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel is lovely, room was great (very modern and comfy beds). The actual hotel has been done to a hight standard throughout and has plenty of facilities throughout. The gym is great as are the pools. The best part for us was being able to walk straight out to the sea and the view of Etna. There are plenty of sun loungers on the decking along the beach as well as around the pool. The buffet breakfast was amazing - very high quality! Would recommend this hotel to everyone and wish we had been able to stay longer!

The only let down was the restaurants. For a 5 star hotel, this really lets the hotel down. We ate at Scausu and were very disappointed. Service was incredibly slow - took 25 minutes for anyone to take our order (drinks and food), and every time we asked to order they would say someone was coming. We had to ask for bread to be brought out several times despite other tables clearly being given it on arrival. The menu is tiny and they didn't have half of the items available which was strange. I ordered the spaghetti con vongole which was nice but had 3 clams in it and was 24euros. My partner ordered the fillet steak which came out rare and cold (he asked for it medium). They were happy to take it back to be cooked for longer which was good but it was incredibly bland and tasteless. It was 40euros for this steak and not the quality you would expect. We expect to pay higher prices at a hotel but to pay higher prices for such low standards was really disappointing. We'd recommend eating outside of the hotel.

The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. Rooms and the entire property were spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the generous supply of towels and the well-maintained pools. The quality of the food at the restaurants was consistently good, and room service was efficient and reliable. Our request for a late checkout was kindly accommodated, which made our departure much smoother. The gardens throughout the resort were beautifully kept and added to the relaxing atmosphere.

We experienced very slow service at several of the restaurants, particularly the sushi restaurant and Donna Floriana. With small children, waiting an hour for a starter and another hour for the main course is simply not manageable. There appeared to be a lack of coordination, with many tables left waiting and no clear system in place to manage service efficiently. At Lime Bar, although it is advertised as open until 11 PM, we were refused ice cream for our child at 10:08 PM because they claimed ice cream service stopped at 10 PM. It was disappointing, especially since the bar was still fully operational. Staff were generally unhelpful, and even getting a drink took over 30 minutes, with no sign of it arriving.Room service was also inconsistent—on one day, it was skipped entirely. Although they offered to clean later in the afternoon, we were in the room by then, so it wasn’t feasible. The resort itself is attractive, but the layout includes many steep slopes and long distances between rooms, which makes it less suitable for families with young children or elderly guests.Overall, it’s a beautiful property with potential, but it would benefit greatly from improved management and more attentive, customer-focused staff.

    Mature gardens and greenery.

Awful service, small rooms, tiny shower, dated resort, staff in general seemed very disinterested and almost rude at times.

The property was absolutely lovely. The staff were so accommodating and kind. There was a mix up with our booking dates they very quickly resolved it. Hotel was larger than expected and facilities were great! All food and restaurants were good lots of variety.

Connection was going off and internet was a bit tricky. Glad I didn’t need to work on holiday.

The breakfast is very well done.

Long story short, we had a terrible experience here.We had planned to end our Sicily trip on a high note here, but it was quite the opposite. It was the worst place we visited, with the worst "beach" (it's just dirty water at a boat entry with no way in or out over the rocks) a truly ridiculous "adults-only" pool (that's inexplicable 3 feet deep), and "sea view rooms" with the smallest windows you've ever seen.On our last night at their supposedly upscale restaurant, every dish was covered in the unbearable same tomato sauce. No one poured our wine, no one offered us more when it ran out, and each course took over 45 minutes to arrive. When we complained, the staff was useless and offered little to no compensation for ruining our last night in Sicily. We repeatedly told the staff that my wife doesn't eat meat, but they kept bringing her meat dishes. The things the waiters said about the food and the property were unbelievable. "Don't order that chicken, it sounds dry!" It's like they picked random people off the street, gave them no training, put them in ill-fitting uniforms, and told them to just have at it.From the architecture to the food to the staff, this place is a mess.

    8RayPosted on: 7-6-2025

The grounds and the facilities and the variety of restaurants

The rooms are dark with small windows, not the place you want to spend time in .We had to pay more money for an upgrade to include a better room with a terrace .Oh and by the way I was charged euro 14 for to poached eggs at breakfast.

This is a lovely hotel that we stayed at for one evening at whilst on a 2 week tour of Sicily though most tourists are there for longer. Amazing location and outdoor pools, highly recommended. All staff were exceptional and it really was a place where you could base yourself. You do need a car if you want to dine elsewhere as the hotel is remote but to be honest everything you need is here anyway. Breakfast was amazing, one not to miss. Special thank you to Claudia who made our experience here so special.

We tried the fixed price evening buffet and was disappointed at the quality of food for this standard of hotel compared to the amazing breakfast. We were at the start the season and other restaurants were closed so maybe just unlucky this time around.

Modern, clean, well equipped, picturesque location, well equipped rooms.

Expensive, far from everywhere we needed to go. Hilly, too many steps. No menus. Slow service at times. No baths

    10IgorPosted on: 5-12-2025

The territory is very green and large. Very well kept.

The buffet dinner is over priced.

    10SebastianPosted on: 4-28-2025

The Resort is an amazing place to visit, however you need to have lots of money with you as you are going to spend a lot. The Resort is in the middle of nowhere but if this is what you need, a place to reconnect with nature then this is the right place to be. Breakfast is amazing, one of the best I've ever had, not often you can get yourself a prosecco in the morning, to start off your day (never seen a breakfast buffet that also offers alcohol). The selection is quite large and I'm sure no one leaves hungry in the morning. There are so many places to visit around the Resort, that for 2-3 days you can really enjoy it. but if you stay for 7 days I suggest a few trips to Syracuse/Augusta or Brucoli (by small boat directly at the hotel) might not hurt

I expect that everyone here comes with breakfast only - not sure if they offer All inclusive/full board, this leaves you having to pay for every lunch/every dinner at the Resort. Plan about minimum 50 Euro for lunch/ about 100 Euro for dinner each day - for 2 adults - drinks included. So if you're on a budget then you need to get on the boat that goes to Brucoli and have lunch in the village. Dinner in Brucoli might not work as the schedule for the small boat might be limited (we did not have it as it was April). If you are stuck in Brucoli and want to walk back to the Resort its a 30-40 minute walk. Taxi/Uber is about 20 Euro/way, so Lunch/Dinner might get you the same prices if you also pay the taxi/Uber back and forth. Also I would not recommend walking back during nighttime as the road has no lighting. If the Resort would have a Brucoli shuttle it would be nice.

The hotel site is beautiful surround by trees and amazing flowers, lots of birds as a result - including scops owls. Food superb - a change of dishes every night, pool amazing with Mount Etna in the background, rooms so comfortable but the staff were the cherry on top - Gabriele at front desk, Lorenzo, Victoria and Anastasia and Sebastian at the pool so helpful and kind.

Delighted with it - a true haven
