Personal breakfast which is nice. The nature around it was really amazing! The staff was really nice and friendly! Walk around the town provided nice and beautiful scenery! I am recommending this hotel!

No AC in the room, but quiet area so could sleep with open window. Everything was great about the hotel, location and so on, only the lack of the AC (thus the comfort did not get the highest score). Am heartly recommending this hotel.

Breakfast. adequate. Location: perfect for my plans. Staff: very nice helpful, flexible, hardworking. Room: nice view, comfy balcony, functional bathroom, but the furniture and the enterior was very dated, worn out. Good restaurant, fine steaks and pizzas.

WiFi was totally useless - a big brownie point ! The room interior / furniture needs to be modernized / repaired.

The room seemed a little out of care, its a point to improve. The bread in the breakfast was always tooooo crusty, almost impossible to cut. Just minor details.

Location is in the middle of the little town, by the main roundabout. This is a mountain location and there is no noise at night. The room is fabulous, simple but furnished with taste, a nice curtain, red bedsheets, a spacious cupboard with a safe and a hairdryer. the bathroom is very functional. There are two good wall plugs, a little desk, a fan, a pretty curtain to the balcony which has great view into the mountains and the Gruyère Castle, a stunning view!.The breakfast is copious, tasty with fresh bakery and bread items plus the other trimmings like cheese, raw meat, yoghurts, fresh fruit etc.What was the best at this hotel? The Staff, the managers, owners, restaurant and hotel staff were courteous, helpful and very friendly. An amazing team with outstanding people skills, all of them, the kitchen and cleaning staff included.I rate their service and kindness as exceptional and extended my stay by 2 more nights.The Restaurant downstairs with its great Terrace is very well frequented by locals and other travellers, always fully occupied in the evenings. The Menu has traditional Swiss specialities, also French and international cuisine. Pizzas are amazing! I saw many people coming from outside for takeaway food.The surrounds offer many walks, tours and Alpine experiences, the Lindt chocolate factory is in this town. The Fromagerie in nearby Pringy and many more attractions. There is a fabulous Tourist information office in Charmey, a few kilometres up the road.The photo shows the illuminated Gruyère Castle seen from the room balcony

Breakfast was ok. Lots of flies bothering us. People were friendly. Nice terrace with good pizza.

Some of the rooms had a smoke smell. The rooms were worn out. The hotel could do with a make over.

The staff is really friendly and the food is amazing. The room was comparatively bigger than usual. The location is good. The room service and cleanliness was good.

The staff was very friendly. The parking situation was also great. It was convenient to have a restaurant within the hotel. The breakfast was good and nicely prepared. The view from the balcony was great.

It was quite noisy. The heating system made a constant sound (also at night) which was annoying. There wasn't even a tv remote. The furniture is from the last century, the bed too soft. The cleanliness of the bathroom could be optimized. Hair washing is impossible. The shower should be descaled. If the awful carpet and the old-fashioned furniture would be replaced by modern things, the room would be cozy and a higher rate could be charged.

The service and the staff were good. Nice view on Gruyere and Moleson.

The vacuum cleaner was very noisy during the breakfast on Sunday morning. The soap and shampoo were rather scarce.

The staff were kind and helpful even the few staff that couldn't speak English helped with my French.. The room was small but very comfortable with amazing views. Perfectly located for everything. The pizza in the restaurant was amazing.. I would definitely stay again.

I was a little nervous as the reviews were quite bad.. However it was a lovely surprise. Its a little old but the location is fantastic
