    Pros +

    • Best location in all of Brides-Les-Bains. Right next to the Olympe Gondola.
    • The staff at the hotel was extremely kind especially with my young children. The dinners were always amazing and an ideal location for the gondola. The breakfast was simple, but nice. We will definitely be returning in the future.
    • Clean and comfortable hotel next to ski lift. Good food.

    Cons -

    • All good
    • lockers at the other side of the gondola
    • Overall, everything was good. As I mentioned, you get what you pay for. The lift takes about 30 minutes to really get to the slopes. The room and bathroom are small, and the breakfast is simple. However, for the price, these are not issues but rather just the norm.

Great location. Brides les Bain is a quiet town so don’t stay if you are looking for night life. For access to the three valleys location could not be better. The team are very friendly and accommodating. We were half board which I recommend. Catered for vegan and vegetarian. Bar had good selection of local drinks.

The hotel boasts an amazing location, situated low in the mountain. While there's no snow at this level, it's not an issue. There's a spar nearby, a few restaurants, and it's pet-friendly. We brought our Yorkshire Terrier and were delighted to dine with our dog by our side. The included breakfast is a nice touch—nothing fancy, but good value for the price. The room was small, and the bathroom even smaller, but again, it's fair for the price. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the ski lift, which is convenient. However, the lift takes 30 minutes to reach Maribel, but you get what you pay for. There's also parking available and a room for skis.

Very close to the ski lift. Cosy bar area. Lovely breakfast.

More toiletries would have been nice. Room was a little on the cold side in the morning.

Wonderful staff, great location and great value for money

The Hotel Des Alpes exceeded all expectations. It was fabulous. Off the main road, next to the gondola, straight up to Meribel. The staff were exceptional. The owner always there to great you with a smile and gave some great ski area recommendations. Clement, in the restaurant, was super friendly and a real asset to the hotel. The cleaning team were visible, every morning. This hotel clearly was a family run hotel, by people who care and who wanted to make it a home from home. Nothing was too much bother. We went half board ( Highly recommended!) Even our two teenagers were full up at the end of every meal and could eat no more. The bar area gave a nice community feel, where you could meet other guests, play games or just come together as a family after a day on a slopes. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back. Thank you Team Hotel Des Alpes!

Cosy , friendly , comfortable. Right next to Gondola.Ski and boot room . The staff were helpful and friendly. Room was basic and comfortable.

The food was plentiful at breakfast and dinner. But Dinner’s main dishes could do with a re plan, not great!

The property was exactly what we needed and very clean. The building is old but the comfort level is perfect for a ski lodge and everything was very clean. The staff are extremely friendly and very willing to help.

    Building is slightly older

If you’re after a cosy, no-fuss mountain stay, Hôtel des Alpes is the place to be. It’s got that proper rustic, old-school alpine charm—nothing fancy, but warm, comfortable, and exactly what you want after a day on the slopes. The rooms are simple but do the job, and for the price, it’s honestly a steal. The location is unbeatable—literally the closest hotel to the ski lift. No long treks in ski boots, no waiting for shuttles—just step outside, and you’re on your way up the mountain. What really makes this place special, though, is the people. The staff are genuinely kind, always happy to help, and you never feel like just another guest. And then there’s Thibault, the boss—a legend. He’s hands-on, friendly, and always up for a chat, making sure everyone feels welcome. It’s the kind of personal touch you don’t get in bigger hotels. If you want an authentic, great-value stay with a warm atmosphere and the best access to the slopes, this is it.

The location for the Olympe gondola and the Intersport hire shop couldn’t have been better. The rustic hotel was comfortable and had free parking and a heated ski/boot room. The rooms had everything needed for a ski trip with a good supply of hot water for a bath/shower. Breakfast had a range of choices on a continental breakfast buffet table. Dinner was a set menu each night, with a variety of local dishes - you certainly shouldn’t go hungry after that! The lounge has a bar, large screen tv and plenty of seating. Mr Thibault and his staff were very friendly and looked after us well, including facilitating a late check out for the 5 of us. A great place to stay for a ski trip to the 3 Valleys.

Location excellent Food was varied and good quality Parking Staff very helpful and friendly

The only minor criticism could be that some of the decor was a little dated

    9DonaldPosted on: 4-5-2024

Very convenient for cable car. Great to have parking at the hotel. Very close to the town center.Well fed in the evenings.

Breakfast coffee could be improved otherwise a great place to stay.

We stayed at the Hotel des Alpes for eight nights in March 2024. Room was compact (as expected) but comfortable. We paid for half board. The dinners were excellent. The food was well prepared and plentiful. The wait staff at dinner and breakfast were attentive and pleasant. We enjoyed watching sports and playing board games in the bar during happy hour. The hotel director - Mr. Thibault - was very welcoming to me and my wife.

Best Possible Location in Brides - just 2 mins walk to the lifts. Clean, cosy and comfortable. Lovely staff.

    9AlbertPosted on: 2-16-2024

Spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff and owners. 1’ walk from gondola ski lift. Nice breakfast. Dead quiet once guests have gone to bed. Car park on site.

The beds could be a bit longer if your taller than 185cmSome guests don’t respect the fact that the walls are thin and hence sound travels (we brought our earplugs and had to use them every night due to our noisy neighbours on one side).

Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Free boot room.

    10AnnePosted on: 1-11-2024

It was easy to get to and the gondola was literally next door, the owners and staff were wonderful so welcoming . We were half board and the food was really good , 4 course meal every night . The rooms were basic but warm clean and comfortable. Value for money this hotel is amazing
