Need a better explanation how the restaurant works. Reservation needed. A very limited menu, daily new.

This hotel is located right on Lake Bonigen and close to public bus stops making for easy access into Interlaken. The breakfast was very good and the room had everything I needed as a solo traveler. They allowed me to store my bags on the last day while I continued to explore the area.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable and the lack of air conditioning (which they note and is standard in Switzerland) was not ideal -- given it was actually quite warm while I was visiting. That said, I still very much enjoyed my stay.

Location was great. Room was spacious. Staff were excellent and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety.

It was further out of Interlaken than we liked. It was also very outdated.

Location, staff, clean

Location is superb on Lake Brienz. Loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Interlaken but close enough for convenience. The ferry dock is a 3mins walk away. The hotel offers the Interlaken card for free bus rides, discounts, etc.

We arrived to check in only to find that the actual rooms we booked were given away. They tried to offer us a 10 franc discount per room. That didn't fly well. It took us over an hour to sort this out and ultimately we missed our ferry time (we had to find time to fit the Lake Brienz cruise in during the subsequent days and it was very rushed). They tried another offer -- for us to pay an extra 200 francs per room to upgrade to other rooms -- that didn't fly as well. Then they offered to transfer us to their sister hotel, sent us there and only to be stopped to return to Seehotel so they could make it right. Eventually, they did but the experience did leave a sour taste. I'm a travel professional and based on this experience, I'm afraid to refer my future clients to stay here. We also had dinner during one of the evenings. The staff were friendly, but the food left much to be desired -- my client who traveled with me described it as "like eating hospital cafeteria food".

The breakfast was the best I’ve had since I left on my trip. The view from the restaurant will take your breath away. I arrived several hours late past midnight and the staff was so helpful and so accommodating. I got the sweetest note with my room key welcoming me. If you want a big modern hotel that has every modern amenity and treats you coldly don’t stay here- but if you want to feel like you’re in someone’s home with a phenomenal view, delicious breakfast, and a staff that is filled with friendliness, warmth and loveliness—stay here always.

Everything was great

the location has a really great view. the bus stops are literally in front of the hotel, too. staff were very accommodating. I enjoyed their complimentary continental breakfast and all the free tickets they gave us. It’s sad I left this place, it was amazing!

Amazing views and spacious comfortable rooms. The four course evening meal was impeccable. The friendly staff were readily available for any requests. Quiet and peaceful setting.

Excellent Location. Front-desk staff (Tom was really supportive and welcoming). Overall stay was pleasant.

Rooms are very basic with limited facilities.

The location, staff, breakfast, services. Everything was amazing. Better than a 5-star experience in my opinion. The bus stop was right outside the hotel and so was the lake. So absolutely worth it!

Required Air Condition in the room its get really hot and have to open the windows during summer as the climate changes they need to put A/C.

This is a wonderful hotel with excellent service. The staff at the front desk were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. Even though I arrived late, the staff patiently confirmed my arrival time and made all the necessary arrangements.

the rooms were very dated. The TV worked sporadically. one of the workers, Damien, was very rude and condescending.

NO mini fridge , no coffee maker and no microwave is substandard in lodging today. Most likely an outdated attempt to influence guests to patronize either room service or the in House dining.

The hotel is in a great location. It’s right across from the Bonigen Schlossi bus stop (buses come every hour), and only a 5-minute walk from the Bonigen See bus stop (buses come every 30 minutes). The pier for the Brienz boat cruise is just a 7-minute walk away.View: 100/100If you can, choose a room with a lake view. It’s amazing! The turquoise lake looks beautiful from the balcony and makes you feel relaxed and happy.The breakfast buffet is simple but good. They had hot eggs, bread, muesli, fruits, nuts, cheese and a different cake every day. Meats served are not halal. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. They took great care of us.Lunch is not available. Dinner is a set menu with four courses for CHF 50 per person. You can also choose fewer courses for a lower price. You need to tell the staff by the afternoon if you want dinner. You can’t just walk in, and there’s no room service for food.You’re not allowed to eat in the room, but if you order food from Uber Eats or Just-Eat.ch, the staff will kindly let you eat in their restaurant. As long as its within reasonable hours, they will set you up with plates and cutlery in their charming vintage-style restaurant, with really nice wooden paneling and lovely décor.Rooms & Facilities: There are no double beds - just two single beds pushed together. But the beds are comfortable, with big soft pillows and warm, clean duvets. Housekeeping staff did a great job at cleaning our rooms everyday.Each floor has a small TV room with some board games, a hot water kettle and coffee maker. There are no kettles in the rooms.There’s a small play area in the backyard with a spring duck and a couple of swings. Near the reception, there are also some toys. My toddler had fun playing there, especially when it was raining or we couldn’t go out.It’s only a 5-minute bus ride to Jungfrau Park, which has a big play area for kids under 10. A fun place to visit with children!

The location was perfect, the staff was great, friendly and very nice overall. If possible, get a room with lake view. You'll be in awe with the scenes!
