Le Grand Hotel de la Plage

The view is spectacular from our room balcony to the restaurant's panoramic view of the ocean. The restaurant meal we enjoyed was probably the best on our entire trip. We highly recommend eating dinner at the hotel! Breakfast was also delicious, and copious!

The smooth shower floor looks chic, but is dangerously slippery when wet. I fell and bruised my knee, and luckily did not hit my head. The staff were very attentive and responsive to my suggestion that a rubber floor mat be made available upon request.

We stayed there only one night on our road trip. The restaurant was closed that night, but the staff was super helpful and recommended another place which turned out to be great. The room was overlooking the ocean, which was fantastic and surprizingly quiet. Breakfast buffet was good and had plenty of options.

The place is showing its age, but it is well maintained and comfortable.

Great location, right on the beach with the Atlantic rollers coming in. Very close (5 mins walk) to good bars and restaurants.

Restaurant and bar closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, that Booking.com didn’t warn us about (we arrived on a Tuesday evening). Bedroom a bit airless.

Word of caution if you are staying on a Tuesday night which we were out of season the hotels restaurant & bar is closed No restaurants open at all other than one we could find after much searching which wasn’t serving food !!

Location is great directly at the beach and also with direct access to the village center with shops and restaurants. Breakfast was included in the rate and was very good as well. View from the balcony towards the ocean was nice as well. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking lot with gate and 4 spaces where one could charge the car free of charge. Free tea and coffee in the room and also 2 bottles of water.

Unfortunately the terrace is closed due to construction problems in connection with erusion on the beach. The bed mattress was a little bit too low so that one sits on the wooden bed edging which was not very comfortable. The area at the sink in the bathroom was kind of small.

Expensive.Spa was not a spa. Only a jacuzzi you had to book. No gym.

Great location. Great breakfast but a bit weak for a 4 star hotel to only offer one sort of bread as gluten-free offer when this was communicated in the booking( and confirmed). No pancake, no waffles no cakes… WiFi was a bit on and off.We were not informed when we arrived that we need to book a table in the restaurant to have a table. One evening we needed to go somewhere else.

Clean and livable room(3) ; Staffers are friendly, kind and helpful ; BF has some varieties-not just croissants and caffee! The Hotel sits right on a long&terrific beach , and walkable to the town with many restaurants and shops . The area is gorgeous !

Our room only has partial side-view of the ocean - on the balcony , the main building still blocks the full ocean view. The Hotel-restaurant is closed - and they informed us only a few days before arrival , so we could not change our plan ; BF is inside a small crammed room, we could not sit outside with ocean view.

Clean and tidy, great location

We had a ground floor room so had to use the shutters which gave no natural light and couldn’t open the windows during the night.

Location and lovely comfortable hotel.

Internet was not available despite signing into hotel Wi-Fi.

Excellent location with easy access to the beach and local shops and restaurants. We were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good with a wide range of choices.

The terrace overlooking the beach had not been furnished with the tables and chairs, which were stacked at the end. This we were informed was due to the weather over the previous months, even though it was warm and sunny whilst we were there.

The beds and pillows and breakfast were fabulous

Magnificent location on the beach. Very clean. Good value for money. We will be back next year

Perfect location! The restaurant was great. Breakfast, superb. We were in a room on the side, like a small chalet. Still, we could have a glimpse at the ocean and hear it roar! ?
