The location, and the outdoor tub.

Rooms are not inviting. So much water wasted waiting for hot water. Couch was old & dirty. Too much advertising of hotel brand on everything.

We got our room updated . Beautiful view nice staff

Just the location.

Just don’t go….Very old and dated hotel. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. There were electric wires everywhere in the bedroom so not very safe for children. But the worst of all was the housekeeping. They started to clean the rooms at 8.30 !!! So there was no rest in the morning. A lot of noise, karts rolling down the hallway, house maids talking loud… a morning nightmare. I called the reception they just ignored. Then when I checked out and complained again because if check in is only at 4pm and check out is as soon as 11am they have plenty of time to do the cleaning. Totally unacceptable. Very disappointed and frustrating as I went there to have some rest and it was impossible.

Very well placed, next to the beach in the amazing city.

The pictures in the website don´t match reality.The bathtub is located outside, with no privacy, very close to the street.It can only be used as a swimming pool, with no possibility of privacy.

We liked the closeness to the lake. We liked the friendliness of the staff.

The quality of the food in the buffets for lunch and dinner was rather ordinary. Consequently, we didn't eat at the hotel's restaurant for those meals. The breakfasts, however, were quite good.

It was very close to the beach and the breakfast was good with a nice view.

Some parts of the house are already old and would require some maintenance

It’s an old under invested hotel with nasty staff. Not recommended and I never write reviews 4 stars is a jokr

Horrible ancient spring mattress had a horrible night. The walls are paper thin so I could hear the person next door snoring all night. The staff were miserable, not even a hello when I can to reception. Incompetent staff unable to manage the hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

This is no reflection on the staff. They were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel owners should look at the hotel, it's rated 4 star however, it is in need of refurbishment. Cracked mirror in our bathroom, stained bath. Faded paint work. The hotel did not meet our expectations. For a 4 star, it was tired and in need of an upgrade.

Great experience all round, lovely place great setting very clean , staff very receptive and friendly.

This location overlooks the water. The room was spacious with a nice patio space. It would be better to have a high patio set so you can sit and take in the views. Breakfast was good and at night the restaurant was very busy with guests and locals. Staff were very friendly and helpful here. They even put up with my bad attempts speaking Portuguese.

Wow - great hotel! The front desk staff and cleaning staff are super friendly and helpful. Huge room with a big comfortable bed, great hot shower and incredible sea view. The location is really amazing. No problem to store my bike. Really great value for the price.

Nothing to complain about!

A convenient location with beautiful views, and I can recommend a room with a balcony. The dinner was average and served as a blend of buffet and carvery.

When arriving at the restaurant for dinner we were seated in a lovely area alongside the bar, near a stone fireplace with roaring fire, (it was a cold and very rainy day). The room had a cosy and very comfortable feel to it, noting that the restaurant was almost empty, and at not time that evening were there more than 20 people in this 85-100 seater restaurant. We had a pre-dinner drink and placed our meal orders, however we were told we couldn't eat here and had to move tables from this lovely setting to what can be best described as a staff canteen, with glaring lights, bad acoustics and bench seating. From the initial welcome and ambience to this immediately made me regret actually eating here. When I queried why we had to move: "my boss says that people must eat in the dining room"! A classic case of dismal management decisions, and no empowerment to "on the job" supervisors to make decisions. The table where we had been originally seated remained empty for the rest of the evening, with 4 other occupants in that part of the restaurant sitting at the bar. After eating we returned to the table, and at this point the lady serving behind the bar, having a long discussion with a guy seated at the bar (and comparing pictures on their mobiles), had to prompted twice to actually take a drinks order.

Great staff at check in , host was very nice and helpful for our request for ocean view room for 3 , the location is great walking distance to town for shopping and coffee .

Housekeeping came into our room and we did not expect it, they left no new shower floor mat, and did not refill coffee condiments for our second night?

We stayed in a room with a "sea view" and loved the view and the location. We would definitely select the sea view room again and would love to stay there again. Food was reasonable and good.

Beautiful location overlooking the beach, one to all bars and restaurants.

Comfortable room staff exceptionally polite and helpful. Food really good.

Smelly drains in the bathroom of our room which detracted from our stay..

The staff was very friendly and helpful, I could check out at 4 in the morning without any trouble. the restaurant was clean and the food was good. the rooms were clean and had a very beautiful view over the ocean. the view from the restaurant was very nice as well. the beds were good.

the bathroom was a little out dated with a tiny shower head while standing in a bathtub. The bathrooms could use a little renovation in my opinion. They were clean though and that's most important.

Excellent breakfast. Rooms pleasantly decorated. Wonderful shower. The hotel provided a questionnaire in the room.

Children running around the bar area. Would be well worthwhile engaging a nanny to engage with children. Would be appreciated by both parents and other guests.
