- I liked the location and cleanliness. Olya, a very friendly cleaning and cooking staff member, was always eager to help.
- Old, historic, a piece of history. Like going back in time to fin de siecle . Staff are great. Very helpful, very friendly. Great customer service. My meal had an ingredient I cannot eat. The meal was replaced, no issues and not charged!!
- Breakfast is goof. Localzation is not bad but far from city center.
Cons -
- I arrived at this place at about 7pm (per the information on Booking.com I could check-in up until 10 pm). All the doors were locked, the phone#, listed on the door and on the reservation confirmation did not answer. I was lucky to meet two local friendly ladies, who were trying to help me. After unsuccessful attempts to reach the property staff, they brought me over to another local hotel Via Regia, which was open. David, the staff member at the reception desk, was also trying to help me: we went back together to Hotel Silesia, he was trying to find someone inside, but the door was still locked and was unable to reach anyone by the phone on the door. We ended up coming back to hotel Via Regia and I was asking about staying there, but finally he got a call from Hotel Silesia and connected me with them. I was able to get to the hotel after 9pm. It was a stressful experience. I was told, that I had to notify the hotel in advance, if I arrived after 6pm. This condition was not stated on Booking.com. Also, I learned later, that vegetarian options for breakfast had to be requested in advance.
- No air conditioning but because it’s historic, authorities won’t permit. Other than that, very good
- There is no recrpdionist in hotel. Ehen arriving to the hotel, to enter tje hotel. You need to call number on the door.if ypu have mot crll phone or empty battery of phone, you do not enter it.. I stayed between 15 '18 kune. Even though Majority room in jotel id free, I was stayed room in roof !!room was small , bed s smal awful, despite I paid for normal room, Autjorisef made us stay roof room. Hence they gave much money.

Perfect location, clean room, friendly stuff. We loved the hotel
Lovely old hotel, comfortable and met our needs. Helpful owner and staff. A nice traditional restaurant just down the road. We will come again.
Close location to the centre.
The furniture was very old and the room was very dusty. For that kind of hotel, it needs to be cheaper than what it actually is.
Beautiful room, good location, great shower, simple, tasteful furniture
The hotel‘s location is great, only few minutes from the main station. The room was big enough and super clean.
1. There‘s no easy access to the elevator which isn‘t ideal for families with a stroller. Our room was in the first floor. So, we had to take the stroller down stairs, take the elevator to the second floor then take the strollee down stairs to the first floor. And when leaving, it was easier to take the stroller down two stairs rather than up to the second floor again to take the elevator.2. The bed was a bit bigger than a double bed, but unfortunately they used two mattresses which wasn’t comfortable at all. In addition, the mattresses were the worst quality especially for people with back pain.
The staff was very accommodating to my needs. The room was spacious and the balcony was very nice to relax on in the afternoon sun. Enjoyed a good meal at the restaurant. Highly recommend!
Rich breakfast choice.Large comfortable room.Great reception staff!!!

Very nice breakfast and just a short walk from the train station.Nice big room.Very friendly staff
Big room with a nice balcony, a good bed and a nice bathroom. Hotel is situated in a lovely Gründerzeit-building not far from the city centre. Tram stop to centre is right in front of the hotel.
Hotel advertises as 4 star, but I would give it 3. There are no tea- and coffee facilities in the room which is standard in 4 star hotels. Breakfast is okay, but I wouldn't say 4 star. You can experience traffic noise in the morning.
All of the staff were so friendly! they gave us tips and suggestions on what to see. We felt like we were in an old timey European movie the whole time we were there. wonderful breakfast too!
Stylish hotel in the district where houses are in Sesese style. Very nice breakfast. Friendly staff.
Impeccable building and interior
Old building comes with some noises of other quests
Very nice Hotel. The staff kindly organized a room on Christmas evening on very short notice.
the interesting and antique decor the location was close but not in the town centre so was peaceful our rooms balcony was very welcome and the well appointed rooms were more interesting than your basic everything is the same hotel plus the outside is a very nice architectural example
nothing about the property however we arrived in the evening and were greeted with locked doors and not a great explanation on the phone of where to go to find entrance and the man that greeted us after that was relaxing in n restaurant and obviously a bit drunk when he finally opened door..for me this was ok cool and quirky I mention it because I’m sure other folks may find it off putting..it in no way reduced our enjoyment of our stay and I can’t blame a guy for having a couple of beers..?
The hotel is typical of Gorlitz- it looks great. Charming building with a good and somewhat historic atmosphere. Close to Gorlitz station. Gorlitz itself is lovely but surprisingly unvisited. Liked the Gorlitzer Kartoffelhaus. The restaurant 20 metres inside Poland at the end of the Altbrucke is really good. I had been put off by reviews. Going to Zittau is something I can recommend and then walking to Dreilandpunt, the meeting point of the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland. Warning, be careful when buying tickets on SVB trams. Check what is on the screen carefully.
Happy with the Hotel Silesia, so liked everything and would stay there again.
The staff was friendly and efficient; the room clean and quiet; the restaurant was very good and moderately priced.
No air-conditioning on very warm (for Germany) day. Fortunately, the night cooled sufficiently to allow for sleep.
Quite a cozy hotel for a decent price. The breakfast was good and differentiated, like in many German hotels. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The parking is spatious and comfortable. The hotel is quite close to the railway station (not more than 10 minutes on foot).
1) The windows are old, there is no airconditioning (at least I didn't find one)2) Location: the downtown area (and the Polish town of Zgorzelec) is a little further away, you might need a tram or a car, or some more time to go there.
