- The interior design of the very spacious room was superb!
- Big, nicely decorated rooms , in the center of old city
- We absolutely loved our stay at the Emmerich Hotel in Görlitz. This small boutique property is full of character, with stylish décor and spacious rooms that feel both comfortable and distinctive. The beds and pillows were exceptionally cozy, making for a great night’s sleep. The front desk staff were welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay, Breakfast was a highlight—served in a beautiful room and offering an impressive variety: eggs, meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, and excellent coffee. We couldn’t have been more pleased. A delightful stay from start to finish!
Cons -
- Practically, no parking at premises; few minutes walk to public parking area. Bath shower tiles can be further cleaned
- Front desk closes at 6:00. That could be inconvenient for some people. But we really loved the hotel so hard to come up with negatives.
- It was difficult to find the breakfast room

very nice and spacious room; very friendy staff - (very) late check in was no problem; nice bar & restaurant, too. Fantastic location (explore Görlitz waking from the hotel), nice restaurants nearby, too; private parking, too
It was an excellent location to explore an exceptional and undiscovered town of central Europe. The architecture was outstanding
It was difficult to find the breakfast room
We had a wonderful stay at the Emmerich Hotel. Situated in the historic Alstadt it is perfectly located for visitors who want to explore the old town. The renovation of the building and conversion into a hotel has been sympathetically and tastefully done. The fixtures and fittings of the rooms are of a high quality. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had an exceptionally good meal in the hotel restaurant and the breakfast was terrific too.
Rooms were large, clean, warm and very well designed with a large heated floor bathroom.
Small duvet on a large bed. Would recommend a bigger duvet.6 windows in room, really need larger curtains to fully cover and black out sunlight in morning. We arrived at the hotel late for check in travelling for work. It would have been nice if the kitchen could of offered us food when we checked in as there was nowhere else locally to get food at that time of night.
Location, quiet and modern. Absolutely great breakfast and staff
No door between the room and bathroom. No AC! Parking no closer than 150 meters
The Hotel is nice and sophisticated, the staff is friendly and the breakfast served in a beautiful inner "winter garden".
The bathroom has no doors - this is interesting, but not comfortable at all. It could be also great to receive parking instructions and possibility to park the car BEFORE the check-in, as it is common in hotels of that level. The street is in the center, you are not allowed to park near reception...but you cannot park your car before check-in...it's completely unacceptable and uncomfortable.
What a stunning architectural remodel! Such detail in every design choice. Quality materials and attention to detail. The lovely design made the stay exceptional. Wonderful communication from the staff!
We did not have the breakfast because I felt the price was too high. 18 euros per person! We went around the corner and four people had a hot and generous breakfast with coffees for 35 euros total at the bakery. We would like to have had the convenience of breakfast at the hotel if it had been comparable.
Creative design, spacious room, nice view on the rooftops of the old city. Very decent restaurant.
Reception doesn’t work all day long.
Friendly staff helped resolving all issues
Orientation in the building - had trouble finding the breakfast room on the first day.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the tub in the suite was luxurious, and it’s smack dab in the most beautiful part of town. Breakfast was great too.
Could’ve had some more toiletries since the shops aren’t as close by
The location is great, and the surroundings are very nice. The room was very spacious, clean, and nicely arranged. I liked how soundproof the room was - this is a rare thing. The bathroom area with a big tub right in the center is a nice way to relax.
I felt a lack of English instructions - almost everything was in German. All the signs in the hotel and almost all the instructions given by email or via Booking messages were also in German. Even the menu in the restaurant required me to use Google Translate. And I wasn't impressed by the breakfast - it's pretty basic, and the omelet was not basic, but really bad.
I’m amazed by the hotel design and location. The room size is large and the detailed of every single furniture is spectacular. It’s a mixture of classical & modern luxury style. The receptionist is extremely representative & professional with warm welcoming and good bye.
The carpet of the elevator needs to be replaced.
location is wonderful, restaurant was very nice, room was spacious
disappointed that it was not clear there was very limited hotel parking available, had to be reserved, otherwise, out of luck (we were fortunate, not ticketed for parking)
The hotel is in a very central location but the rooms are quiet and beautifully decorated. Pet friendly.
Superb location on the old Untermarkt. Our top floor room had plenty of light and nice views of the market square buildings. The room was also very well appointed with contemporary furniture and artworks. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and the food and service were very good.
Great location , very clean nice rooms.
The location was close to all points of interest. The building and rooms have been tastefully restored to a very high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and was very clean. We would definitely stay there again.
