Hotel Ibis Budget Vichy

In general, you can stay there, but the price doesn’t match the amenities.

The bathroom did not smell clean, which created an immediate sense of discomfort about using it at all — including the shower, which was located in the same cabin.

The rooms are well designed, good use of space, plenty of room for a bike and luggage and my daughter loved the bunk bed! Breakfast was simple but really good and reasonably priced. Staff were really helpful. The hotel was quiet, no noise from neighbours and is located in a quiet area.

I like the pod bathroom but not so keen on a toilet with no lid, the bathroom smelt like a gent's toilet the whole time.

The staff was super friendly

The bathroom should be renovated it is very old, all plastic and stinks humidity very bad! I think that was definitely the worst part…and the WC does not have a cover…not hygienic at all!

Location is convenient, if travelling north or south. Quiet location, very friendly staff. Hotel did its job - clean and quiet. The village is fine, and was nice to walk around after a long drive, but everything is shut after 7 except the Buffulo Grill, which was a new experience but a godsend and very convenient! If we'd arrived earlier, we would have walked into Vichy, which isn't far if you like walking.

Drains were a bit smelly. The hotel was in need of a bit of a refurb in comparison with others in ibis budget chain. Sink not in bathroom which was a bit odd.

2nd stop on out 2600km drive from Lisbon, Portugal to Frankfurt, Germany. Budget is the key word here. Breakfast was more than we expected actually. Reception was kind & friendly.

A bit off the main drag so had to navigate through the French countryside to get to the hotel, and then to get back to the main autobahn.

The room and bathroom was in a really bad shape, old with lots of cosmetic defects, really umpleasant to stay.

Nice place if you are travelling by car and you need to stop for one night. The breakfast and the WiFi are in line with the expectations.

We arrived late and there was no place in the parking while several cars were using two spots. I would be need to organise and manage the parking lots.

I've been at this hotel many times, since I am regularly travelling by car and it's half of my way.I always book it because it is convenient: a really good location, nice parking, kind staff, comfortable bed and room, etc.

This time, unfortunately, I noticed some changes comparing with previous times:- The toilet was not properly clean, as it was smelling of urine.- Before they were providing two towels per person (hand and shower towel), this time just one, the shower towel.- The issues with the bathroom persist. Basically you need to choose whether to use the WC or the shower, as after using the shower the WC is a swimming pool (a simple and cheap curtain would solve the problem).- Before, on top of shower gel, they were providing hand soap. Now just shower gel. So for washing your hands and face, you need to enter the shower to get a bit of gel and then go back to the room, where the sink is, to wash your hands and face.

The only thing I asked for was a quiet room and they gave me one that woke me up with breakfasts

Good as always. I would highlight the friendliness and availability of the staff and the location, perfect access by car, for an overnight stop on a long road trip. Wide parking with good access. Different restaurant chains in front.

Check out for some curtains on the shower cabins, because the water reaches the toilet and the floor looks like a pool ;)

It was very basic, as expected for the price we paid and just one night. Breakfast absolutely fine. Would use it again if in Vichy which we love.

I can't complain about anything given the price we paid!
